Wonderfully and perfectly demonstrated, thank you. Can you please explain to me the ctm winding, and how to carry on tatting once done the ctm method. Valmai
Continuous thread method (CTM) means to not cut the thread between the shuttle and the ball of thread, to avoid having tail ends to hide at the start of the project. To do it, wind the shuttle, then don't cut the thread from the ball. Or, if the project requires 2 shuttles, wind one shuttle, then unwind from the ball as much as you need for the 2nd shuttle, and cut the thread there - then wind 2nd shuttle from the cut end.
How do I work in the tail ends, it seems to be difficult to sew them in like I do with my crochet work. I made a small motif and put some B-7000 multi purpose adhesives on the tail end and turned it to glue down. But I think if you wash the motif the glue will come off. Thanks Marilee for your reply on the ctm method, I certainly will try that.
@@valmaivorster4826 my favorite way to sew in the tail ends is by sewing them under the caps or tops of the double stitches, going back and forth for several stitches, then pulling the tail tightly to bury it in. I must put on my to-do list a video demonstrating that method.
thanks. this is nice. but the pendant is so hard for me, especially the first round around the bead. it's always to "flappy" :-( but I will try again. thanks!
Thanks for a really helpful tutorial. Your beaded tats are just beautiful!
You have taught me so much in this lesson, thank you.
