I own a 2016 Corolla S Premium, fully loaded with navigation and sunroof. My next vehicle will be a Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO 4x4. Toyota cars and trucks are reliable with top notch quality.
The Corolla's headlights are very bright and better then the Civic's. Also,, Toyota Safety sense is standard on all trim levels including the base, but on the Civic some of safety features are optional. Corolla still has a CD player. Corolla is a few inches longer than Civic, so it has a roomier back seat. Toyota updated the touch screen for 2017. Their Etunes system is easy to use, but no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay that the Civic has
I really like the Civic. Only thing is the Corolla has standard safety features which to have to get extra in a Civic and the Corolla has a better touchscreen rather than whatever that is on the Civic. I feel like Honda needs you to pay more for more quality things.
Smooth Operator in which point of the video did she prefer one over the other without actual facts. there was equal amount of compliments on both cars.
I like the interior of the Civic and the exterior of the Corolla. both cars are really great. the only issue with the Corolla is the still using the one piece rear suspension.
The civics back seat looks super cramped. The Corolla looked like it had a ton of room. Looks like the civic favored trunk space of rear leg room. I test drove both cars and actually proffered the Corolla because of the standard safety features and the passenger area seemed larger. Both are pretty dull to drive because of the cvt, but no one buys a Corolla or civic because they’re fun to drive.
I'm a Toyota fan. However, I really dislike the new corolla look. But still, corolla is much better with comfort and long distance driving. Overall in my opinion, corolla is designed for family and civic is for young people enjoying mostly looks and speed.
I ended up on here because I own a 2017 Corolla (it is May 2023 now). Your video was good, and I was a car salesman in the early 90's. You need to ditch the background music.
I definitely like that Toyota adds in the safety tech standard, but their refresh doesn't really please me. I prefer the Honda for looks, so if I want some more stuff I would probably stretch to the EX trim.
love your videos bc u take your time explaining about the vehicles pros and cons, As a hard of hearing veiwer i wanna thank you for speaking clearly, slowly and loudly. not many reviewers I can understand well, so I gotta give a big thank you for that !!! keep up the great work Laura, you are doing awesome :-) You tc & may GOD bless.
A long awaited Civic/Corolla comparison! Great review! Don't like the Corolla's "steep' dashboard either. May have accidentally edited the back seat of the Corolla during the Civic presentation during 4:05
how? she pointed out the corolla had more features and that she liked them.... shes a honda sales, shes putting emphasis on why the honda would be a better buy. she isnt a car review page
Hats off to Toyota for including all the safety features as STANDARD, while Honda still charges you for proven safety features that save lives. It's like charging for airbags or crumple zones. GET IT TOGETHER, HONDA.
The Honda Civic all they way! Love the aggressive styling and the better horsepower. As always Honda Laura your reviews are informative and positive. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Laura! Nice comparison video. Just curious, what city/state is Herb Chambers Honda in? I'm wondering because I just saw an older model Civic driving around my city (San Jose, CA) with a herb chambers badge on the car which reminded me of your videos. 😊
Civic has direct injection that is known to create problems in the intake valves, Corolla has the bulletproof known Mpfi engine made to last for very long time with just the basic maintenance, Corolla is t best car for a student, drive around the city or a long trip, reliability, safety standard features and now the good looks makes Corolla the winner in its segment
I'm just gonna say as far at looks & style which isn't that superior than the Corolla, but it's still a cool spray vehicle, but I recently had the choice to get either & by far the Toyota Corolla is a far smarter & better choice. The safety features, the interior is more expensive & modern looking than the Civic. I just love it. Also I upgraded my 2018 Corolla with the all black wheels factory limo tint & it's a sharp looking car. My 2nd pick would be a Civic for sure tho.
Man. The Civic is TOO DAMN BIG. I wish they offered a base DX for less $, too. They always end up as big as an Accord 3-5 prior. Value wise, it is hard to compare. The Corolla LE for $14,700, that was the recent offer. Unless Civic can be had for 15 grand or less, I would go Corolla.
TOO DAMN BIG???? I do believe (Don't quote me on this but maybe Honda Laura will verify this!) that the Civic is only inch SHORTER than the Corolla! And price-wise they're pretty neck-and-nexk when you have to add in the Premium Packaging that Toyota includes upgraded options like sunroof and alloy wheels.
Clearly biased and I have a 2008 Honda Accord and it's a piece of junk but I have a 2006 Toyota Camry with over 220,000 miles and that is a beast I love Toyota clearly Toyota is much safer with all the technology and airbags of course you like Honda because you work for them
The new Corolla has a problem with visibility. I test drove the 2020 and although the information center is nice I just couldn't see. I also test drove a 2020 Honda Civic and I hated how low to the ground it was. In the end after test driving all the new Toyota's and Honda's I chose the 2017 Honda Accord. It's a beautiful car and in my opinion looks even better than the newer Accord. If you want a Corolla I say go with the 2015 and older. If you want the Civic do the same because it's not as low to the ground and it's easier to get out of, but if you want style and grace go with the 2017 Accord it's a great car even at the LX model. I got into the LX model and it's a gorgeous vehicle.
I have a corolla but like the civic too only the new ones all other civics are whack but just hate the cvt transmissions my car and the civic has they have to go back to automatics
Thank you for doing a bit way too bias review! I love my LE Eco. I do have the premium package so I have alloys and some other nice features. I appreciate how in depth this review was. Do wish you had elaborated a tad bit on Toyota Safety Sense, as I'm sure a good majority of people aren't familiar with it. But overall, fantastic comparison review
Dear Laura, Please, could you paint 🎨 a little red arrow 🔺on your index finger nail 💅🏻 ? I think 💭 it will be easier for the old people who are following the Show, to see where exactly you are pointing at . Thank you in advance .
HondaLaura I have a EX-L sedan, Handsfreelink: when I stream music n use Google maps, i can't lower the voice guidance without lowering the music volume. If the music is loud, the voice guidance is super loud too 😲
I like that American accent of yours Honda Laura. I wish I had one. Good review by the way. I would like to just add my opinion here about Toyota being so claustrophobic. Too narrow for my taste.
I like the styling of the civic but i wish Honda stopped using the CVT transmissions because the are unreliable and not competitive. lets pray that the 2018 civic will come with a 6 speed automatic. thank you again Laura for the review
mark rakov , Honda's CVT's sucks great time. In order to keep profits high , they bolt their own shity CVT, instead of ordering a proper automatic from ZF .
The Corolla has always been a far better car than Civic. The new 2020 Corolla is out and makes the Civic look ugly and dated. I own a 2018 Corolla SE and it’s a great and fun car. The interior looks upscale and has a lot of room. It has full LED daytime running lights and headlamps. Safety features like Lane departure warning, radar cruise control, pedestrian detection are standard. The seats on the Corolla are very sporty looking and comfortable. The Civics are very narrow and thin. I’ve been told my car looks like a mini Lexus and it does. Not many realize that the Corolla also has standard driver knee airbag while Civic has none. Little details like that are what make Corolla the better car.
LOL, I think you sort of copped out in the end by not actually saying which one you prefer. :) I like the Civic over the Corolla ..if I had to pick one I mean. On another note; I like when you pause when trying to find the right word. I don't know why, I just do. :)
A tradition, Corolla engineer make good interior taxi car and straight taxi dashboard suitable for taxi meter. Ask the Thailand taxi driver for opinion. For personal car luxury, I would prefer the Civic.
Delta Floss umm no its not. From what I seeing in Forbes chat last week. Nissan is the fastest because Toyota was #1 and Nissan was second to take the thrown away from Volkswagen.
Just bought a used 2017 Corolla. Super happy with it
Wasn't Much Of A Tough Call For Me. The Civic Just Impressed Me The Most. It's been a week since I got mine. Very fun commuter car.
Congrats on your new Civic Cornbread671! - Laura

I got the 2017 Corolla XSE preowned in 2019 and hasn’t disappointed me yet.
I really like the Civic. Only thing is the Corolla has standard safety features which to have to get extra in a Civic and the Corolla has a better touchscreen rather than whatever that is on the Civic. I feel like Honda needs you to pay more for more quality things.
Thanks for chiming in Cody! - Laura
Although i prefer the honda, this was obviously biased LOL
Why do you think that? - Laura
Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk Well your name is HONDA Laura. If that doesn't say a lot I don't know what does.
Smooth Operator in which point of the video did she prefer one over the other without actual facts. there was equal amount of compliments on both cars.
Lol Honda Laura
Sometimes I just want to see Laura and nobody else.
HI Kissinger!!!!! :) Honda Laura
Hi Laura. I'm happy to see you again.
Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk dido!
When I thought I couldn't love anything else than cars, she came out on UA-cam.. damn.
I like the interior of the Civic and the exterior of the Corolla. both cars are really great. the only issue with the Corolla is the still using the one piece rear suspension.
Great feedback! Thank you. :) Honda Laura
HASAN sameeee
HASAN facts nothing like that Rolla grille 🔥🔥😍

Shh don’t tell the Honda fanboys
I'm a Toyota fan. However, I really dislike the new corolla look. But still, corolla is much better with comfort and long distance driving. Overall in my opinion, corolla is designed for family and civic is for young people enjoying mostly looks and speed.
Dang! Honda Laura rockin that red lipstick, got me wantin to kiss my old ride goodbye and get in one of those Honder Civics.
Thank you Chris! - Laura

I am also torn between Honda Civic 2017 and Toyota Corolla 2017 model. Which would you recommend?
Honda Laura would go with?
I love Civic
this is amazing car so beautiful and pretty
Thanks for sharing Techno Mart. - Laura

Good catch! Love the fact that you are watching so closely. :) Honda Laura
We'll to me is very fun to drive a toyota Corolla I own a Corolla 2017 Se.
Thanks for chiming in Julio! - Laura
These reviews are always so biased 😐
Davaun Francis Well her name is HONDA Laura.
how? she pointed out the corolla had more features and that she liked them.... shes a honda sales, shes putting emphasis on why the honda would be a better buy. she isnt a car review page
Obvio a review is her perspective
Davaun Francis No shit 😂
Hats off to Toyota for including all the safety features as STANDARD, while Honda still charges you for proven safety features that save lives. It's like charging for airbags or crumple zones. GET IT TOGETHER, HONDA.
I love Honda and own a older Civic but here in Bahrain Corolla is most popular. For info to everyone. :)
Toyota Corolla is the biggest selling car in America 🇺🇸 You be the judge 👩⚖️
We your loyal fans missed you Honda Laura! You look awesome as always.
But be more cheery!
thanks for watching SuperDrJeckyl!! -Laura
At 5:18 such a beautiful pause of your lovely face :) ps. Your hair looks beautiful trimmed and this color suits you best.
Thank you miles! - Laura
Looks like the Toyota's dash is more upscale. That said, I just really like the overall styling of the new Civics. Cool comparison, Laura !
Thanks you! Hope you are having a great day! - Laura
I mean, I am 17 and driving my Civic 10th gen for the LOOK. I don't care about speed or comfort as long as styling is good.
Thanks for chiming H H ! - Laura
Can't wait for the 2017 Civic Si review!
The Honda Civic all they way! Love the aggressive styling and the better horsepower. As always Honda Laura your reviews are informative and positive. Thanks for sharing!
great review as always Laura!! 🖒
Thanks Touringe! -Laura
the digital dash is the key feature for me. Civic wins.
I love the digital dash! - HL
It's do future, and Honda is leading the way.
@@courtneyvegan9448 ..digital dash toyota only focus for lexus, that's the problem
@@feiselnas9607 Toyota Corolla has a partial digital dash. I now like the new Corolla 😎.
Hi Laura! Nice comparison video. Just curious, what city/state is Herb Chambers Honda in? I'm wondering because I just saw an older model Civic driving around my city (San Jose, CA) with a herb chambers badge on the car which reminded me of your videos. 😊

Siempre me han gustado tus comparativas
¡Gracias por ver! - Laura
How many seatbelts in the Honda civic?? And how many seatbelts in the corolla

Combine the exterior of a Honda with the interior of a Corolla 💥👌🏽🙌🏽Now that’s the dream
Great review! This will help us decide if we will buy the new top of the line Civic! thanks again! ;)
Thanks for joining in. :) Honda Laura

I would like to see a Mazda 3 vs Honda civic
Food for thought! - Laura
what brand of car do u have honda laura?
Of course I drive Honda! Honda CR-V EX! - Laura

Certainly. I DO like the car, just wish Honda would remember the car's orig intension. Affordable, efficient, great value for the $.
djkenny where did you get the good offer on Corolla...?

the shutter speed of the camera makes the civic looks like the headlights flicker. do a review of the new si when it comes out.
We plan on it! - Laura

Are you guys gonna do the Toyota Highlander vs Honda Pilot?
I will look into it! Thanks for sharing! - Laura
hey how much yearly road tax should i pay in honda civic.
I prefer Corolla Always.
It's so adorable how you always pause to remember what you want to say!
love the civic outside... hate it inside.. what happen to the touchscreen led screen?
The corolla hasn't changed much, it's in need of a makeover
toyota is very comfortable cars then honda but features wise honda comfort wise toyota better then honda i use both brands

2015 Corollas have the same dash as the ones all the way up to 2019
Nice review, I would take the Civic. I smile through everyone of your videos. You are awesome.
Thanks for sharing! -HL
How do you make the led lights flash like that on the civic? Someone please answer
Its actually a setting in the camera that gives it that effect. - Laura
Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk Oh ok, thank you, but it would look good actually:)
I agree! - Laura
I also love to sit low in the car, thanks honda for this driving position Notting better than have options
Is Honda sensing standard or optional in a civic? If not, Corolla wins. Why? Because TSS-P is standard even in the base and the cheapest L model.
Nice camera . ....which one?
Sony A7sii. - Laura
toyota is much reliable on the long run
Thanks for your feedback! - Laura
Corolla very spacious, legroom the best!
Hey Honda Laura what do you drive?

The civic was All New a year and a half ago. The corolla had a mid cycle update 5 months ago. This battle is not fair.

She didn't mention too much about the standard safety sense on Toyota. I wonder why lol 😜
Civic does look little bit nicer on the outside though
Thanks for your feedback. - Laura

better idea... use the honda civic concept coupe body style and put the type r engine in it...ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED!

Honda civic ... all kinds of aftermarket mods available ... 👍
I need laura in my life 😉 I pre ordered the Type R. I'd let you ride it any day. 😋

laura would you please do a review of the 2017 civic si?
I will be on the lookout for your review of the Civic Type R vs Focus RS (or is it ST?)...
I like both corolla and Civic.
You can see the Corolla had much more legroom in the back, she didn't mention it tho
You know your going to lose when the host starts by saying "What up Honda fans"
exterior - toyota...interior - honda
Civic is so much better than that blobfish looking corolla

true
Toyota looks surprisingly weird on the front
cole think again toyota is better over all
Laura is the best.

Loving Honda laura
My #wcw every week.
A tradition, Corolla engineer make good interior taxi car and straight taxi dashboard suitable for taxi meter. Ask the Thailand taxi driver for opinion.
For personal car luxury, I would prefer the Civic.
If you dont mind me asking Honda Laura, what is your heritage? You definitely have a Mediterranean look to you 😊
Do the Corolla IM and civic hatch!!!!!
Thanks for the feedback! - HL
camry 2018
Prefiero el corolla, más confiable y duradero.
The honda car is the fastest car on the planet it's the bestselling car of all time it a great value too.
Delta Floss umm no its not. From what I seeing in Forbes chat last week. Nissan is the fastest because Toyota was #1 and Nissan was second to take the thrown away from Volkswagen.
Do honda pilot vs toyota highlander.
Please compared the new 2018 camry vs the accord
Got it!!! :) Honda Laura
Looking forward to that comparison too. From pictures and video's of the 2018 Camry, it does look good.
i want the 2017 toyota carmy vs. honda civc
Pfff, it's obvious that the 2018 Camry will win. It's gonna destroy it. LOL
Accord sport vs Camry sport the Camry win i love the red interior of the Camry
