      Just wanted to follow up after my stormtrooper helmet comment. - I ended up getting a 17 lx model in Obsidian Blue Pearl. Had it for about a month now. No regrets. The aesthetics are pure sex. Gets a lot of compliments and turns heads. I love my stormtrooper CRV. Definitely a "man's" SUV over the outgoing model.

    Just test drove a 2017 EX AWD and although I really hate how the rims and grill have all those busy lines, everything else is a significant upgrade - especially the sensing, driving dynamics, stiffer chassis, turbo power, while getting almost the same MPGs as my old Fit Sport. Considering how large and well equipped this thing is, that's simply amazing!

    I've been waiting for your 2017 CR-V post because I really appreciate your take on All things Honda. But you did even better by doing a 2016 - 2017 comparison which is great. As a single guy I never saw myself even considering the previous CR-V because as good as it is it was just waaaay to Mom-ish (not a personal jab since you roll in one). But this 2017 has a bit more brut or aggressiveness to its styling that I could get with (in a Modern Steel or Crystal Black). So thanks again for another great vid.

      The new 2017, there is no place to store your luggage cover. The 2016 has a special place at the back of the cargo space, really great. Most Honda sales persons don’t even kno that.

      Hoàng Long Nguyễn what is your decision ? 2017 or 2016 ?

    • @Kalanhikov
      @Kalanhikov 7 років тому +4

      I would definitely choose 2017 one in a heartbeat. Better head design, bigger wheels 18" compare to 17" in old version, it will increase traction, more stable for the car, and some may argue that it will be less fuel efficiency, but I doubt that. I personally don't use roof rails, so with or without is not a problem for me. Now, lane watch is a problem here, I love lane watch, but one should not rely solely on it. The back in 2017 looks more sporty, I think. It looks much better than the 2016, which I believe many people complain about its back. The back seats in 2016 are uncomfortable, especially if you have to sit there for a few hours. I'm quite small, 5'4", and I find it still not pleasant to seat at the back. Touchscreen in 2016 is not very quick in term of responsive, occasionally difficult to see under the sunlight. USB charging at the back is awesome in 2017. The big cargo is one of the reasons I love CRV more than RAV4, and in 2017, it is even bigger, so why not going for the bigger? $600 is not gonna set me back.

    • @HieuNguyen-zt9nr
      @HieuNguyen-zt9nr 7 років тому +1

      Hoàng Long Nguyễn yesssssss..... I would love to give you a thumb up for this best comment. I did it. This was all about I thought. I also love the back end of the new one. The best thing I love about this new CRV Is the fuel economy on a compact suv. In general, I quite drive far to work, so I most likely focus on the fuel economy of the car I decide to buy in about one more year, i think. Good luck and enjoy on what you chose ! 👌👍

    the 2.0 in the 2016 is bullet proof. the 1.5 turbo has some serious issues. also not a fan of of the 2017 gauge cluster. its just too busy. glad i got one before the lane assist and other garbage. nothing like your car randomly emergency braking because it thinks it sees something thats not actually there. i drive my car not the other way around.

    I miss back when the CR-V had no center console. Made it so much easier for me to park on busy roads and just slide over and get out the passenger side. Also my 2001 CR-V fits into smaller parking spaces than the new ones and that's really handy when I see a spot that's too big for a newer CR-V but I can swing my tiny car and squeeze into the spot with ease and space. Anyone else miss old features? Plus my cars back seats are so comfy and spacious compared to 2016 CR-V and maybe even 2017 as well.

The Alloy tires what attracted me to the ‘16 model. I really liked your video; you did great job explaining the differences. I don’t really care for the front design of the’17 model. It really look so bland and boring; while the ‘16 model is a beautiful design. And please share your feedback on the 2023 model. The front of the ‘23 is awful. It’s like someone set down and added box to the front grill. 😱

    Nice car. I don't own a CRV 2017.
    But I test drove a Honda CRV 2017 EXL model, and still they have the
    driver seat vibration.
    It was very obvious when driving at low speed in 2017. Sales man told me
    that he will get me another car. I told him No thanks.
    Better Honda fixes this rather than ignoring. So before buying please
    test
    drive with idling, park, ac on/off, lights on/off, adjust your seats
    up/down/forward/backward..some combination makes the front seats
    vibrate...the engineers need
    to get something right..looks like this is been lingering for years..
    BEWARE. Rest looks great. some might not like exterior - I too but I can live with that.
    Similarity - Both have vibrating seats issue at low speeds or idling.

    You will meet good people with Honda..you went go wrong with the CRV..the new shape rear exterior is cool design..so the re design interior,more rear space..despite the rims and maybe some - ,
    Overall the new is no doubt winner..

    What does the horn sound like? Is it a beefy horn or does it sound like a little Accord horn?

    The giant unused space on the 2017s infotainment screen is a bit annoying. I was expecting a nice HD wide screen.
    the 2017 also looks like a mini highlander

    Clearly;
    New one: Male look.
    Old one: feminine look.
    The old crv is very narrow in the front and small, the new one is more muscle looking in the front which personally I like a lot more.

    Laura - what is your favorite color on the new 2017 CR-V? I just saw one in dark green and I have to say I was impressed by the looks of it.
