This was my step-dad favorite album of all time, we shared our first drink together while listening to Poinciana after looking for the album for 10 years. The drumming on Poinciana is the absolute highlight
Onya Alan. Another precise and detailed, informative presentation. Ahmad Jamal’s live album “At the Alhambra” is another essential in his canon. Thanks for your fantastic work. Cheers from Oz
And thank you my friend for your regular recommendations. Even to the point of having a nice "single malt" when savouring a new album. What a fabulous way to spend retirement! Cheers@@TenMinuteRecordReviews
GREAT JOB! Love your channel. I still haven’t gotten the nerve to get in front of the camera, but I’m getting there. I’ve had this album in my collection since my teens in the late ‘70s. My biggest regret was not upgrading my copy when I was stationed in Okinawa to a Japanese copy like I was doing with most of my collection. Although during that time of my life I was still heavy into fusion. That was in the early ‘80s and you can tell by the Japanese pressings in my collection are mostly fusion albums. But enough with my history and thank you for such a wonderful detailed breakdown of this album. Too many videos I watch are folks sitting there talking about an album and they’re giving great insight with no visuals. Yours was great.
Thanks very much. I see you’ve just got going and I will definitely check out your work. And look, if *I* can go on camera, anyone can. If you like fusion I should connect you with my friend Jonas from @sublimmedia. He is a big fusion fan (also prog and psychedelic rock).
Forgot to add the link to Michael Mackey's dissertation in the original upload. Now added.
Great album! Thanks for the reminder that I need to listen to it more!

Discovered this album at an estate sale a few months back, quite a good bit of jazz, 50 cents each, cheers from Ontario
Solid work!
