- Here is a easy, fast way to change a metal solder color to a metallic gold color. Its fun and a great way to create gold finishes in your solder jewelry pieces.
All products used came from Hobby Lobby.
Here is what you will need for this project:
Any Solder Piece you want to paint gold.
***APPLY THREE COATS OF GOLD PAINT AND TWO COATS OF GLAZE/GLOSS
Car Model Paint/ Made by Testors , Metallic Gold.
Vintaji Glaze Gloss /Metal Sealer and Patina Extender.
Made by Rangerink.com
Throw away craft brushes/sponge brushes.

Also I am trying out another gold paint for solder this weekend, as the one I shared here rubbed off after awhile, it was for metal. Hopefully this one by Plaid will hold up better and will do a video on that soon.

Do you have any tutorials on how to make a piece into a brooch? There is the one pin thingy one can use, or safety pins, but what is the best way to attach them? Soldering or glue? I could absolutely see this “A” as a brooch as well! It is beautiful!
I would say experiment with E6000 glue. Wear it for awhile and see how it goes.If I use glue,its always E6000 as it holds up really good.🌻
