    I got the single grain sent to me by mistake a few weeks ago. My Bourbon I ordered is coming but I got to keep the Irish Whiskey FREE. Opening it tonight.

    Totally agree with your notes. Love all three but my favorite is the single malt. Just love that flavor/nose.

    I'm mostly a bourbon drinker, but decided I wanted to branch out a bit. I just bought a Teeling Small Batch and it's delicious! It's actually a little hard for me to get a handle on the flavors, because it's not bourbon. That's why I like your reviews Jason. They always give me some good tasting notes to start from. I will buy more of this one. Thanks again for all the reviews!

    My Costco just got the Small Batch in. Packaged in a beautiful gold tin and Priced for everyone at $24 for 750ml. Can’t wait to try it when I get home from work!

    Great video Jason. I just love what Teeling is doing. Yes, they have some expensive high-end whiskey, but their introductory range is both affordable and damn good. They do it right and their entire approach, even their interaction through social media, is just wonderful. They really have nailed it. Cheers buddy.

    Hey Jason, I met your mother, Mary, in Total Wine today. Was in the bourbon aisle and I overheard a woman talking to a salesperson and saying she knows her bourbon as a result of her son's UA-cam Channel, The Mash and Drum. I couldn't resist so I told her I was one of your subscribers and we had a short chat. Best regards, Rick

    Always great content, even going back years lol. Just tried Teeling small batch for the first time and I kept going back to it interested about what I was getting. I’m surprised I don’t hear as much about it being rum forward...I definitely think “sweet speyside”...I think it was bottled in 2019, so maybe that plays a role? Regardless, great whiskey for the price point! I’m eager to try the single grain too based on your review. Thanks as always Jason! Cheers! 🥃

    Finally I tried all three. All of them really good. Will it be weird to say Single grain was like very sweet caramel candy with sage and rosemary. Must buy Chestnut cask. Cheers Jason!

    Nice vid, Jason! I reviewed the small batch on my Insta page and rediscovered it as a great sipper. Did the Jameson IPA caskmates last night as part of International Irish Whiskey Day, too. Honestly, I'm really digging Irish more and more- as always, I appreciate the history knowledge you impart in these. I'll have to hunt for the other two in this vid. Cheers, bud.

    I love a good Irish whiskey. Great research Jason. Well done. Quite an achievement for Teeling. Surprised to learn that Beam was willing to let them compete! I think they’re distilling their own spirit now.

    • @TheMashandDrum
      @TheMashandDrum  4 роки тому +1

      I found it interesting how Beam helped gnite a new breed of Irish whiskey distillers too. Those old Cooley casks are delicious. The Teeling cask strength single cask releases are old those old casks. Phenomenal whiskey. Cheers!

    Totally down with the integrity bottlings coming from Teeling. The single malt was actually the first Irish whiskey I ever purchased. I was impressed when I first had it at a whiskey festival. I think it'd quite young and piney, but still good. The other two were less enjoyable for me, but I'm not a fan of young grain whisky either. Cheers Jason

    • @TheMashandDrum
      @TheMashandDrum  4 роки тому +1

      Cheers Mark. I think that's why they use so much cask maturation as well. It's a good balance of young whiskey with older age flavors from different casks.

    I am making a prediction that Irish Whiskey will blow up next. Bourbon is good and interesting but Irish has a very different profile and is becoming more affordable since bourbon is going up in price. RedBreast has convinced me that it can be great. My friends and I are looking for other ones that are great. Thank you for reviewing.

    Ended up buying the Single grain and Single malt after watching your video. I just had the Single grain now and found it bland at the first sip with a bitter after taste that kicks in. I'm not getting any of what you described or any bourbon kind of taste. :)
    Please note I'm a casual drinker and not a whiskey expert.
