Whisky.com tastes the Teeling - The Spirit of Dublin. A whiskey with a historic name, that matured in rum casks. It probably comes from the Cooley distillery.
The nose:
Spices, lavender, anis, vanilla, hint of rum
The taste:
Spicy, grin whisky aroma, bitterness
The finish:
Medium

Just enjoyed my first dram of Teeling single malt and also actually my first Irish whiskey and I have to say im incredibly impressed. Its smooth and spicy at the same time and leaves your mouth feeling wonderful. I want to try them all now.
awesome you gave me the hole history of it... this is one of my Favorite Whiskeys
6 years later, this is still a lighter bodied, spice packed whiskey, and agree it's just barely sweet. At the 2020 price of $36 US, excellent Irish Whiskey!
I just picked it up in the US for 19 bucks.
Just picked up a bottle for $27 USD. It is so good it feels like I am cheating on bourbon

Yes, I hope the distillery in Dublin will become internationally successful. The world just needs a good Irish whisky.
I’m not adverse to rum cask finishes in general, but Teeling Small Batch is more rum-syrupy than whiskey-oily to me. I’d rather have one of their other bottlings.
Along with the Small Batch, Teeling has a Single Grain, a Single Malt, a 21 year old, 26 year old and a 30 year old. The 26 and 30 year old are quite rare and very expensive!

Very light and easy drinking for 92 proof.
So not too bad then. I must admit, I struggled with this bottle, I found it a little raw, even insipid, despite the higher strength ABV. Need to cultivate my palate.
I don't like it. Very spicy for my palate. There is a bit of sweetenes to the after taste. Can't even finish my dram tbh.
very light whisky.. I will stick on to ISLAY...
Whiskey is Irish. Anything else is a foreign imitation!
