The best way to ink with the bow is to look up slightly for one shot, then slightly down for the other. Alternate these shots and you’re golden.
Always glad to see our man getting sponsored
you got a sponsor thats so cool
get that coin
You play 100 matches, I get disconnected from 100 matches. We are not the same.
Man that sucks, I think I've had like 6-7 disconnects out of probably 100 matches. Are you using ethernet?
@@leftovernoise no, since I’m in college using Ethernet is impossible, the school wifi has the wrong NAT type
@@Logans_Login ooof I'm sorry bro that sucks. Hopefully the wifi gods will be on your side in the future
@@leftovernoise 100 lobby disconnects with Ethernet here. Never had nearly as many disconnects with Splat 2 as I'm having with Splat 3. Couldn't do anything in 2's matchmaking room, but at least it never took long to get in a game.
my wifi is pretty good, and even when I have full bars I still get disconnected.
I’ve been playing Tri-Stringer a lot recently, and one ability you need is run speed up, because your gonna hold that charge so having more mobility is good, and also, don’t use the Killer Wail 5.1 as a panic button, it’s main purpose is to displace and get extra damage on enemies for faster kills
Using Killer Wail is all about activating it in the right moment I have been getting at least 1 kill with it consistently
I've been playing Tri-stringer since day 1 and I feel like Main Ink Saver is more of a priority
I agree with all of these
@@LowJoziah why? It's really ink efficient
@@tetra_kirby5691 While run speed up is nice, positioning is really easy with the swimming mechanic in the splatoon series. Although it might help others to have run speed up, I don’t run it, and main ink saver helps maintain ink instead of running out at crucial moments in battles, so I guess it depends on your playstyle
Important tip for painting: Fire a shot up, then fire forward to paint in front of you faster than the method described in this video. Comes with the added bonus of being occasionally able to see, and the downside of motion sickness.
The let's play B ranked rainmaker mode joke was absolute gold lol
I was x rank in Splatoon 2 and have been struggling to get out of b- because I keep running into teams that are filled with players that are obviously way above B and it's just me with a bunch of b-minuses
That actually makes me feel a hell of a lot better. I got every rank in Splatoon 2 up to S rank, and with me struggling to win in ranked in B- I thought I just lost all my skill.
@@carlyl2032 no I think it's mostly that since the game just came out all the players are slowly working their ways up the ranks so right now b-minus is actually more of a hodgepodge of all player levels.
It also doesn't help that every time I play ranked it's clam blitz for some reason, the worst ranked match to go solo in lol
I was like "THANK GOD IT'S NOT JUST ME".
Let's not forget that matchmaking will pair you against teams who are clearly in comms with one another while you're stuck with a nine-year-old who got Splatoon 3 for their birthday.
@@Superbgamer-qv1cf also of note is that one time out of a hundred where you get paired with people you have unusual synergy with. You can play without talking and everyone just understands their roll and plays as a team.......they will also always bounce after one round
Huge tip for when a slayer weapon starts running at you and you failed to stop their approach:
Do not try to shoot directly at them while they get within range. Fire arrows at where they need to be in order to kill you. Force them to take damage if they commit and RUN. It's more worth it to escape the encounter than almost certainly lose it.
Finally, someone see's this as a support weapon. It's so fun to just go on top of mid and just say no to everyone. Someone flanking? No. Enemy team pushing in? Killer Wail to push them away + Toxic Mist to lock off an area.
I love to gatekeep💜
Yep didn't take me long to realize it's a support weapon. I love backing up my buddies with it. Splatana too.
I use the new variant as a artillery piece. Dude over there? Bottles. Dude fighting my mate? Bottles. Dude behind cover? BOTTLES FROM TEH SKY. dude pushing me? BOTTLES TO THE FACE. 4 big guys inking the place up? BOTTLEZ+ SUPER CHUMP INVALIDATES YOUR ARGUMENT AND THEIR EXISTENCE.
I swear to god I was attempting to convince people during the test fire to use it as intended... they never listened
i'm a newbie to the splatoon series and started on 3.
and what i learned is C- rank clam blits rainmaker and tower controll requires E sports level skill.
update: I am a tri stringer main now and these vids make me realise how much no one knows what the heck they are talking about when it comes to this beautiful bow.
i get #1 turf inker and #1 enemy base inker constantly.
and in splat zone it is great for keeping preasure on enemy trying to move in.
What I learned from starting splatoon is you already lost the moment you see 4 japanese players on the enemy team lmao
Best tip: Do not PANIC when the enemy is approaching you! You don't need to be sweaty just be patient. Great video on the Tri Stringer! I have been playing the Tri Stringer a ton as well, and found out many of the tips you listed on my own. It's probably the hardest weapon to play in the game, but it's so fun. Just waiting patiently for those buffs.
a helpful thing to know for me was that you can jump back to base any time not just to teammates, i didnt really realize that untill i saw someone do it in a video(though idk how they do it so fast...) and before that there would be times where i fell off the ledge and then... just complete panic, though i managed to get some splats close range idk how i did it sometimes it works out (maybe cause i normally play sploosh though that throws me off a little cause im used to basically just always holding the button to go to squid form cause theres no slowdown going in and out of ink with sploosh). though you can still run around well enough, an uncharged jump shot at the right angle can ink a decent path, takes time to get comfortable enough with it to move in to midline, nice for getting some control on things above you like bridges n such, not just getting over cover.
also idk how useful it is yet but you can also hit people with the uncharged shot while looking to the side of them since it fans out, though i suppose you wouldnt be aiming the right way for if you did a jump shot, ill play with it some.
Overlooked advantage of the tri-stringer: it's really ink efficient, you can get out like 11 fully charged shots in a row without running dry. So don't be afraid to be a bit spammy here and there.
I think we can find more tactics and variety of models to keep using the ink bow in the future. Maybe a version that buffs the rapid fire close range attack and makes it look like a Aerospray weapon, or a version that buffs long range damage in exchange for charge time like the Pro weapons?
about the aerospray thing, you literally described, REEF-LUX, actually. try it out, just walk forward, tap the fire like 2-3 times, then swim forward and repeat. seriously, it's actually the best inker in the game. it leaves a column of ink bigger than anything else in the span of less than half a second. it kinda blows at killing people though, in return, unless you get the one tap (the full charge can be held under ink btw).
It’s called stringer btw
I want a heavy bow designed to murder everything in sight, the hydra of stringers
@@JZblue9 reflux is the new special spammer after splatfest it will be everywhere with full gear stacked with special up. Missiles will litter the field once again......
@@wolflance64 yeah, there has to be a heavy stringer in the works that can just shoot one single ultra powered shot with more range at max charge
I love this man with a burning passion

@@xx_somescenecath0lic_xx888 he made a video bashing Frye’s design and making fun of easy Indian fashion and culture.
Good watch. This weapon definitely could use some buffs, but damn its fun to play with all it can do. And there's nothing more satisfying that getting a one-shot lobbed over cover. I got to S+ with it and I'm gonna keep it in my rotation. I'm also 100% playing the long con of waiting for buffs and/or an amazing second kit to really bring the pain later on
My first time ever touching any Splatoon game was the Splatfest demo a few weeks ago. The first weapon I used was the Tri-Stringer because it looked cool. Little did I know I was on the path to becoming a highly technical, tactics-loving gigachad.
I love that you shared your “tactics” on how to use the bow
That beginning segment about the ranked imbalance actually made me feel a lot better about my game performance, I thought that the games were feeling particularly sweaty for some reason...
I've main Tri-stringer since day 1 (currently at S+2) and I've gotta say, I love the feel for it. It's such a technical weapon, and for a backline-esque weapon, it feels solid in every mode. I run a fashionable set, but for anyone planning to try the weapon, I feel like Main Ink Saver and Run Speed Up are some of the best skills to run. Also arc 1 shots are crazy, like when I hit them I feel so bad cuz they never saw it coming (P.S. I’ve been meaning to try thermal ink so I’m glad it got brought up in the vid, I wonder if it’ll be a good scout weapon on team comps)
thermal ink is nice especially since you should probably be laying down the horizontal charge shots to deny ink and deal chip damage anyway, so then in those times when they do hide, or if youre dealing with a charger or another tristringer you can see them hiding behind cover, i throw tenacity on as well cause it just gets you killer wail more often to disrupt anchors and pushes especially when you probably need it.
The phrase “the queen queenn’t” is something I can’t believe i never heard before now. Love it
I've gotten pretty good at using the lazers actually, if you move in a set direction fast after popping it, the lazers will target to same player from different angles making it much harder to dodge and getting a kill or 2 80% of the time.
"A support weapon that can sometimes 1 shot people" is a great concept, at least on paper. The stringer takes a lot of practice to use but it really is a lot of fun.
It appears a bit weak for now but I think the community has not yet discovered it's full potential.
It’s great to see yours Splatoon videos again. Always they get me so much fun.
I watched your videos a lot when I first got into Splatoon 2, and now I've come back for Splatoon 3 content and found that the videos have gotten even better! Subscribed
I really loved the way you went into detail about the bows pros and cons!! Thanks for the video ☺️
I love these little edits in between dialog, I just subbed
Im excited for more splatooon weapon vids from you! while I love all your content the splatoon weapons guides are what pulled me in and it feels nice seeing more of them (I look forward to every upload though no matter what it’s about)
I love your videos when you share tactics on Splatoon weapons! Keep up the amazing work!
Loved this video, you gave good tactics and humor, and insight to this weapon
Oh the new style for videos works really well here, good job Cap.
Amazing video! The tactics you used really made it enjoyable to watch
This was pog! I’m probably never gonna stop using Aerospray but it’s neat to see how other weapons play! Great tactics!
Dude I missed your Splatoon Videos so much and when it released I instantly checked after some days for your content! Keep up the good work, love your style 👍
That shots shots shots everyboooody was so good. I might have to steal that and keep it in my tactics folder for one of my videos!
may i jsut say, i rteally apprieciate your captions, thank you for putting in the effort to make your videois more accessible, there arent many youtubers who do that
I just want to thank you for confirming that all my instinctual strategies actually worked and made sense. This is my first Splatoon game and bows are one of my favorite weapons, so I grinded until I could get it. Whenever I play a shooting game, I immediately take on the support role and that's how I've been playing the stringer so far. It's very easy to deny the enemy team any space once you get to a good vantage point. Also I agree that toxic mist doesn't help, tried using it to scare enemies and it somehow made them more aggressive. Anyways, thanks for the useful video and I shall now subscribe.
I am glad you’re enjoying Splatoon 3 Astro. I can’t wait to experience every moment
Well, tri-stringer is so heavily dependant on my team mates, when there are tons of weapons around that can do what it does much faster and more efficiently. IT has its uses, I guess, but just being backline support is probably not enough. However, if I have to rely on team mates, I'll swiftly go insane from anger, because they aren't pushing forward for one reason or another. When the way is cleared. It's basic tactics, is all I'm saying.
I also think you basically have said everything about the tri-stringer. OTher than how you keep your aim as steady as that. Then again, I use motion aiming, so maybe lowering that sensitivity isn't a bad thing. Or you're using sticks.
He's using sticks because his hands are in bad condition from using motion controls too much
So glad to be here for the release of Splatoon 3. I found your channel very late into Splatoon 2 life time and I know I would have enjoyed the game so much more with your videos. So happy I get to experience that with this game.
You convinced me to give the tri stringer another shot, and it's actually pretty fun! Thanks for that!
I love these types of videos from you. I missed them dude. your humor, and editing has improved as well. Hope to see more of this type of content now that spoon 3 is out. Keep it up bro 💪🏾
before i found the splat 3 hydra, half charging with the bow was the main way to push forward mainly because people were more scared of the bombs during the testfire than they are now, but then i found the hydra.
I think this is the first video of yours I've seen that's sponsored and it made me so excited that you're getting to that level. I'm a long time viewer and absolutely love your videos so congrats!! 🤠 tactics
For movement, I advise jumping and then tap firing slightly towards the ground. That lets you actually paint a path in front of you. Also curved shots on this weapon are so satisfying. I once splatted a 52 by shooting over their wall lol
I think holding ZR and tapping ZL while aiming directly infront of your feet works faster
I do the wall thing ill the time, gals hate me
Tactics. Loved this little analysis, I kinda wanna try out the weapon now!
Been waiting for this 🔥🔥🤟🏿👊🏿
This is your best weapon review yet. Your tactics are impeccable
I like the editing style and the effort that goes into the videos, you sir, have earned youself a sub :)
Always a good day when the Captain puts out a new video, and on my new favorite weapon no less.
tactics!!
also I just LOVE your editing so much its so gOOd
I don't even play Splatoon but your videos are honestly just so entertaining I watch anyway. Looks like you put a lot of hard work into your videos! Keep up the good work Mr. Spaceman
Great video, can’t wait for 100 games of splatana! 😶
tactics are so cool. I love learning new tactics to get better at the game
My first time watching one of your videos. Amazing quality and funny! I Subscribed immediately. Thank you
Stumbled upon this vid while searching Splatoon 3 vids. Whole vid is entertaining so definitely going to sub
these tactics are very useful and interesting! i’m not a tactic queen or anything but i’m a fan of splatoon and this makes me want to try out the bow at least for a few matches
i was looking for someone explaining this weapon a bit and im glad you did also TACTICS
Congratulations on 100k subs
loved this video! i've got a lot of time on the tri-stringer and have been making a few videos on it. good takes and honestly you mentioned some stuff i was going to mention in my own upcoming video so it seems we both know a few things already lol
This was a great guide! What got me too sub was the God shattering star remix tho. BUT GOOD JOB WITH THIS OVERALLL
you're one of my favorite youtubers i just wanted to say that cuz your videos have a very unique style of entertainment that is hilarious.
Tactics
I think this video actually helped me to better understand the weapon, I'll try it out right now 👍
i like your sense of humor and i found this helpful
I love how the "tactics" for this weapon!
Tactics my G and got to say your videos are improving keep up the good work 😤👌🏾
I love you for slipping in God Shattering Star in your video it’s so GOOD! also great video, I had no confidence with it at the beginning, but now I have been annihilating enemies left and right. The right kit is definitely the toxic mist/killer wail for sure, it makes use of being a support and great defender during TC-Rainmaker modes so using these TACTICS will scare off the entire team while your team recovers and returns to you ala Claude von Riegan style tactics 😂
Thats some fire bass tactics, didnt know you played!
This is the first video of you I've ever seen and I'm having a blast
Insta subbed 💖
Very good lessons on the stringer the *tactics* are very helpful
Fantastic video ! would love to see a follow up video for the other bow !
I appreciate the time stamps 👍
Like the new style!
I just simply love your dog as much as your tactics.
Thanks for the bow Tactics!
Thank you so much for inspiring me to main the bow 🏹 I saw you in ranked we had a double bow team.
Switched to the tri-stringer for tower control and really liked it. The sub is a nice support to weaken them to get or defend the tower and the special forces them to move off the tower :3
Seeing baby Captain is the highlight of my day, he's SO CUTE!
Those were some very spicy tactics also very informative
Lol.thank you for giving me confidence! I just started splatoon3 and this is my fave weapon. With your tips, i think i'll be better at using this. Thank you!!!
Bro I love you so much now the spattoon 3 saga begins
So many good tactics in this vid
Tactics. Good video! improving you are
absolutely dying at how you present information. your personality is HILARIOUS and i’m mad i had to buy a $60 video game to find this kind of content
tactics! tysm for making vids theyre always fun to watch!! i esp liked the nb one
i missed these videos so much
A NEW CAPTAIN ASTRONAUT VIDEO
God the gears of the kingdom joke 😂.
Never saw your channel btw, but it’s awesome! Subscribing!
3:04 I really enjoy these funky and expresive animal crossing irl animations
i've watched you for YEARS--please play with the Splatanas! specifically the Stamper bc that's the one i use.. love the video!!! so happy you're uploading more Splatoon
As someone who has stumbled into maining the smol bow, the temptation to spam uncharged shots there is even greater, and it can some times work. But that weapon's level 2 shots are even faster to charge up so firing with that rhythm is still most effective.
Also the statement about a support weapon that can get kills is also very true of the Reef-lux. That sucker paints almost as well as an Aerospray, and it has one of the most oppressive, spammable specials in the game. But you can still go in and flank and get kills.
Netflix has a newer Carmen San Diego cartoon. It's really good.
amazing video, thank you for your efforts (and pain) :”)
i was waiting to see your thoughts on this weapon, i honestly think its pretty good once you get used to it
I will say this did help me in understanding Tri Stringer a bit more. Also:
*Tactics*
tactics :3 this is the first video of yours i’ve seen and ur hella funny dude, subscribed
How do you not have more subscribers? Very informative but hilarious. Lots of personality which actually keeps me engaged instead of just info dump. I cant stand when others just regurgitate stats and info into the mic. Especially when it cimes to Splatoon, it can get overwhelming sometimes.
In other words, great job and keep it up!
god shattering star playing in a video about bows is *chef's kiss*
best new weapon class ever, is what you learned! lol
Also that Husky of yours is megacute.
YOOO YOUR SPLATOON CONTENT IS BACK
your videos are so fun, unlike most competitive splatoon player/youtubers . I really wish that you can continue making videos on Splatoon 3
i love your videos mr. spaceman you are the funniest tactics alive
What this weapon could use is a small adjustment to the left and right "bottles" so they slightly curve into the center *bottle* so it makes landing direct grounded shots easier. Jump shots don't necessarily need for the adjustment because the BOTTLES will all fall into one spot at max range.
Omg love your content, gonna comment to improve performance
