Hi, I was just wondering what the thickness of the glass panel you cut was. I have a friend that has a water jet cutter which he normally uses for metal, but could it be used for glass? The goal is cutting 3mm-5mm thick glass, and I am trying to figure out if we can do that.
kottir ive read you can cut or grind 5-20mm into the edge of tempered glass with a low risk of failure, so this is plausible to me, id like to see them try cut a pannel in half.
Incorrect. You CAN water jet tempered glass. Just gotta START outside of the glass, then proceed to cut into it slowly. its basically just sanding a line through it. You cant pierce cut tempered glass. That is when it breaks.

sure u can if it's not tempered
Our cutting machine is used for glass, not for metal. Normally the glass cutting machine can make the holes from 3mm to 19mm.
Don't try cutting after tempering the glass as will break into hundreds of pieces
@kosmosleha Yes if it's tempered glass you cannot cut it at all, if it's laminate safety glass you will be able to cut it with a glass cutter
@@1petrofski Yes. Thank u. We cutting, washing and drying, finally tempering.
in my personal opinion this is a fake. or rather the glass isn't tempered

Tempered or laminate?
It is normal glass. When we finsihed holes, then toughened. Normally we make the holes on the glass before we toughened or laminated.
Misleading title. This is normal glass cutting, not tempered glass.
