I am using a water jet for holes and hinge cutouts and I am using a conical diamond bit for the edge work. Last week I had three consecutive pieces blow up during the quench phase of tempering. Every time the crack started from the “Mickey mouse ear” part of the hinge cutout. We adjusted multiple settings on furnace with no luck. Do you have any advice on edgework?
