    Wade thank you so very much for all of your advice and for making this video. I am, as I'm typing this, doing some rebranding so my labels are changing and I have also decided that after the stock I have is sold I will only be adding color to my holiday themed scents. I am going to send you another box of the ones with new labels as a thank you for your great advice. Your videos and Facebook group are a huge help to alot of people. I also will be grabbing a candle from your shop to keep on my desk as inspiration. Have a wonderful day and thanks again🤗

    I recently saw people selling bath and body works melts by melting the candles down. I guess they are literally going to the store and diving into the dumpsters and getting free candles... crazyness. lol. congrats on another great video. sooo needed to see a wax melt review since I'm struggling to go from soy to something cheaper. I loved her rock n roll theme. question for you, ..I always wondered what happens to the glitter or the mica after the wax melts down.? did you experience any of that stuff sticking to the melter? did the melter need to be cleaned out more because of it? I've never used anything like that or purchased one to try. does your melter have a silicone liner and if so did the glitter or mica stick to it ?

    When testing wax melt recipies... what is best; an electric burner / melter or one heated by a tealight ?

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  2 роки тому +1

      It's really a matter of preference. It's mostly about generating the right amount of heat for your wax blend. That is why companies like scentsy recommend certain bulbs or sell their own warmers. They know what works best for their melts. But it really will friend on type of wax for each person. Mostly though... preference

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  2 роки тому

      @@Blackbeautynh Hi, I haven't used BW-921 much myself for melts yet.. when I did, I used 10%. So I am not sure if you can use 12 or not. One way to find out. :) You usually have more flexibilty when it comes to melts vs candles. So its worth a shot. As far as pour temp of 170. Yah I wouldn't do that hot as it can melt or wrap clamshells and even cause leaks. I like to pour clamshells as cool as the wax will let me. Try around 150 and see if it works and then adjust from there.

The wax that I am using is S100 Pure Soy wax......but it is really soft. I were thinking about to maybe use some beeswax with the Soy wax just to get it a bit harder for transportation. What would you advise me on this ? How many beeswax and Soy wax do I use ? I am not fermilliar with pure soy wax or beeswax. Have you ever tested putting a wax melt wax in your warmer with an aluminum liner? Do you think an aluminum liner would affect the fragrance throw/ scent? I thought if it was added to the wax bowl, a person could easily change out the waxes if they wanted to try another fragrance , when there is still some scent left in the one on the melter. Also, easier clean up would be a positive. Also, Do mug warmers used for tea mugs produce enough heat to melt the wax for fragrance? Are they too hot, not enough, or similar to wax heat elements? I have enjoyed your videos. I think I saw some of your products at a retailer when I was x-mas shopping in Overland Park. I didn't buy any at the time, but now I'm more intrigued. Yes you can use eight POB of PB 650.
      Also, try changing your current ratio to 50/50. That will help! :)

      Don't have a ton of experience with it yet. It was fine but the ht wasn't as good for me as it was with someone like c55. But it had other benefits

    I don't agree with the hotter the device the faster the scent goes away. I know that should be true but it's not for me. I have a very hot coffee cup warmer and a little glass dish that I put on it for wax melts. I have tried all brands of wax melts and have made my own and they last forever for me. They don't seem to loose their scent. I just get tired of that one and want to try another. I've even saved one that I just got tired of smelling and weeks later put it in again and it was still strong after again melting it several times. The only thing I can think of is that most people put the wax in and turn it on and leave it on 24/7. I don't. I leave it on for a few hours a day and sometimes again in the evening. I think the longer you leave them on you just get used to the smell.

      Thanks debbie.... I was just saying generally speaking.... hotter bulbs usually makes scent go away faster than a lower bulbs. Not that is fast or a concern. Just in comparison. It isn't bad either way. I prefer hotter bulbs myself. Just trying to offer perspective to those comparing comparing two. It's a general idea not a hard fact. TONS of variables

      @@BlackTieBarn so true on the variables. Love your videos. I've learned a lot from them.

      Hi! What brand of wax warmer do you use? I use "Candle Warmers" which is sold on Aztec website at a good price, the quality is very good but to my taste it does not heat enough.
