When the USA declared war the Allies probably decided (as the AI does) that they needed to redistribute all of their divisions across every front, which would explain how Canada fell so quickly and why Western Europe suddenly became barren of Allied divisions. They were all on the water changing fronts at random because that's how the AI do.

There's a specific path for this (that no one picks) in the Hungarian focus tree. "Elect a Fascist King". Unfortunately, it doesn't let you do the treaty with Austria and Italy that way, but you can play it with Germany to get Greater Hungary.
Renouncing Trianon makes your current non-aligned leader also become the fascist leader, so you'd keep your fascist king by just continuing through the political focus tree branch.
The bug where the AI is attacking you from poland is possible because of garrison orders--units on a garrison order can "attack" from neutral territory, at least it worked that way last time I investigated this a year or so ago.

You can justify against USA with the first 50pp, spam out sub cruisers, and naval invade california, and fully invade USA and capitulate before 1937 if you use motorised. Did this, was quite trivial, then did world conquest.
Most likely not, it would require a lot of support equipment and trucks for field hospitals, they are only good when they are fully researched, and if you got a lot of production, just make air, and if you had more, you would just make tanks.
I think they save the amount you actually employ in field hospitals and only save you a tiny amount of unit experience. Cloak71 did a video on support companies. Obviously in RL they are a great asset.
I had a hungry game similar to this except the allies failed to successfully d day and the stalemate in eastern poland ended which allowed Germany to blizkrieg.
I feel like to some degree this isn’t even a disaster save at this point. Its 1943 and enough has happened to capitulate the entire axis. Despite all that opposition, hungary is still holding on and is almost completely intact. That’s almost as impressive as if he just won the game tbh.

@kirino Yeah, normally better players don't get into these situations in the first place, or they stop it/salvage the situation before it gets this bad. if it gets this bad in the first place it is definetely is out of your skillset to attempt to salvage it at this point.

I had this same situation a couple days ago, except I went with a lot of refineries in Hungary and focused on air since Hungary has a lot of aluminium. I was also able to get fighter 3s in 1941, however I could not outproduce the Allies in planes and my refineries did not give enough fuel for me to field a large air force.
At the beginning, right before switching the air companies. Use some of that 500xp to put a tick or two into your medium aircraft designs if they aren't already receiving the medium aircraft designer bonus. Then after you switch you can put some points into the light aircraft so they have he new bonus. It's just a more efficient way or having the bonus from two designers at least temporarily.
He totally declared a war, got overloaded by how much was going on, and just left a month or 2 in. He had a decent industry, even with a lot of his cores gone, A small but well equipped army with stockpiles. You can turn around games that are far more precarious than this if you just breath and set up defensive lines. You probably wont have the best time though.

Whenever watch the hungarian officers i wonder how historically corret the portraits are. The colour of the uniforms is not typically austrian, but the style of the hats still is. Are those portraits from the 30ies and 40ies? Or rather from WWI ?
You don't have to worry about Poland joining the allies, they went with their own faction. You do have to worry about them attacking, but not specifically joining the allies.
If Poland declared on him then I think that would give the Allies military access through Poland and vice versa because the Allies and Intermarium now have a shared conflict against the Axis. It'd be a very messy joint front against two factions then, not two separate fronts against different enemies. Essentially it makes Poland join the Allies in all but fact.
im playing as Romania was doing well against Germany, Hungary, Italy and Bulgaria too but i took my eyes off for like 3 seconds now im pushed back to Bucharest its 3 surrounding tiles and being pushed on all sides...i wont give up im just gonna try and survive til D-day or until the soviets start pushing back
I'm reasonably sure it's a pathfinding bug. I'm not sure why it happens but sometimes when a country has two bits of disconnected land (like Germany at the beginning of the game) the pathfinding glitches out as it tries to go between them and you end up with Germans walking through Poland. I've also seen it done by Portugal with Spain during the civil war but I forget the circumstances. Might also be exiled divisions, they get to ignore military access to some extent and the pathfinding gets weird

Even Sudetenland was denied to them. 🤣🤣🤣 Also, I had a very long stalemate in Romania, which I fortunately managed to break, but then Germany capitulated.

With New dlc they will make adriatic sea an impassable sea. If you control south Italy and and albania enemy ships wouldnt enter the adriatic. Same as Black sea and bosphorus.

I find it halarious that the only time I've ever been the target of an allied naval invasion was one match as Japan where I lost 1 island. Yet, whenever I watch videos of others playing against the allied AI. There's more naval invasion than I've lost naval battles about halfway in the video. Is this an exclusive thing to bad builds? Does the AI not naval invade you if you have too many factories compared to their faction? What am I doing that makes the AI scared of me!? I've been meaning to test coastal garrisons for months now but haven't had the opportunity to yet. One day though. I will eventually grow tired of winning & porpusly make a huge mistake that puts me in fires circumstances. But until my pride falters. I'll have to settle with questioning how these disaster saves ever came to be.
Navy. Navy navy navy. If you have a strong Navy and the AI can't get through you, then they can't naval invade. Most players who submit disaster saves don't realize that the navy is the strongest tool in the game.

Try the total war mod. Mass recuit garrison units, force them through training, add fascists demagogue, move all units to what ever country border your trying for. Use spies to control trade, and improve relationships with neighboring country. 15% chance germany won't attack if your fascists enough

Yeah the best is to put the aa gun on a tank with amphib drive. They get breakthrough; soft attack, hard attack and air attack.

I find it halarious that the only time I've ever been the target of an allied naval invasion was one match as Japan where I lost 1 island. Yet, whenever I watch videos of others playing against the allied AI. There's more naval invasion than I've lost naval battles about halfway in the video. Is this an exclusive thing to bad builds? Does the AI not naval invade you if you have too many factories compared to their faction?
What am I doing that makes the AI scared of me!? I've been meaning to test coastal garrisons for months now but haven't had the opportunity to yet.
One day though. I will eventually grow tired of winning & porpusly make a huge mistake that puts me in fires circumstances. But until my pride falters. I'll have to settle with questioning how these disaster saves ever came to be.
Navy. Navy navy navy. If you have a strong Navy and the AI can't get through you, then they can't naval invade. Most players who submit disaster saves don't realize that the navy is the strongest tool in the game.
@@somewhereelse1235 Although I am a navy based player. Navy means nothing to the AI. They can still do naval invasion without naval supremacy.

@@6th_Army Well the more you know I guess. I just assumed they'd slam the entire navy long enough to launch like players do instead of just cheat. Sub spam helps curb the new world reinforcements at least.

Try the total war mod. Mass recuit garrison units, force them through training, add fascists demagogue, move all units to what ever country border your trying for. Use spies to control trade, and improve relationships with neighboring country. 15% chance germany won't attack if your fascists enough
