Haha in all seriousness, though, great video. Honestly, in my opinion, the best entry-level careers for an ENFP are *by far* Entrepreneurship or Consulting (at a company), although there are probably a few other careers that work as well. Here's why: Entrepreneurship: Ok, I'm going to be my normal lazy ENFP self and not really elaborate on this one because I feel like it should be obvious to most people. if not, let me know and I'll elaborate on it. Consulting: The best part about consulting is that even though your skill set is sometimes the same across every problem, every problem you address will be completely different and will require you to think in ways you haven't thought before. Even if you are an SAP consultant, for example, and only deal with that technology, every client will have a completely new requirement and will require you to configure the technology in a new way. Especially if you're in a much broader role like Strategy consulting, you will have to be super creative in your problem solving and it requires a lot of social and interpersonal connection. The nice thing about working as a consultant at a big company is that once you gain the in-demand skills and credentials (optional) after working for a few years, you can go off on your own and start your own company and transition from a consulting job into entrepreneurship and maybe even work your way into developing products if you're good. Or, if you decide against entrepreneurship (maybe you like the stability of a job or you can't handle the risk/stress of entrepreneurship), you can transition into a really high paying and kick-ass management position (maybe after an MBA (optional)) and work your way to a higher position in the company. Another reason: Both of them pay a lot if you're good at them. Just my two cents!
You know you're an ENFP when you read someone's comment and love it, but procrastinate responding because you have too much to say, and a plane to catch!
I’m such an ENFP, I was reading the comments when he said “come on focus” to the camera and I thought he was talking to me and telling me to stop getting distracted. I got so scared 😂
I love listening to podcast on 2.5 the speed. And just incase anyone is looking for an app that doesn't make the audio muddy I use Overcast. I'm not spam. Just a suggestion for my fellow ENFPs
I'm a hardcore ENFP. I'm currently multi-tasking 11 tabs while listening to you. Not finishing anything and starting a bit of everything. I'm thinking I want to start a business within a week. ahhh. The struggle. But its great to know who i am and that there is others out there like me that have succeeded. Thanks. I have subscribed and taking note.
When Dan had the autofocus problem, it did make me think, how many other ENFPs are losing their focus now and needed that to bring them back? I was one. There are no accidents!
As an ENFP it's very hard for me to concentrate on doing one thing. I can't even watch your video without thinking about 5 other things (my plans for the future). I hope i can become more self disciplined and more responsible in the future. My dream is to work something in Arts (sorry for my bad English)
How dare you! I demand 100% focus while watching my videos :) I have a few other videos about discipline, and will be doing more in the future as well. Enjoy!
I understand you completely.....I have literally done all type of jobs.....all in some type of social or medical services....and I always want to do something different. I have a hard time completing small everyday task.....I have no concept of time.....when it starts or stop.....my financial life is repairing but I suffer from implosive and self defeating spending. I am in the comments, reading, listening to the videos, writing case notes, and somehow eating.....dating literally gives me anxiety because I'm somehow I know my inability to be practical is going to ruin future relationships, but I have this intense need to LOVE EVERYONE! HELP IM AN ENFP!
I have just sat here and cried for 30 mins after watching some of your videos! Everything about me that I thought was bad or I need to fix about myself are actually my gifts that are not being used correctly. The guilt & shame I have carried with me for years feels as if they went out with my tears & I can feel a sense of hope again. Thank you from the depths of my soul for making your videos! You have given me a sense of pride in myself I did not have before! Many thanks & much love to you!
Lynsey I am so glad that you found your inner most demons were actually your greatest talents! Please be true to yourself, because the people around you most certainly adore your passion & look up to you as a leader. Even though you may not see yourself that way. If you are ever looking to connect with a other of ENFP's, visit Reddit.com & go to /r/ENFP Here is a link: www.reddit.com/r/ENFP/ We are all friends there!
ENFP here! My channel was a shiny new object 19 months ago, and I've managed to stick with it and evolve it over time to keep me interested. I don't have a long-term plan, I just go for what impassions me and I think that's why it's done well. Working for myself has made me overcome many ENFP obstacles and enjoy nearly all of the ENFP benefits. Awesome to see other ENFPS doing great things :D Life is beautiful!
I love you....neither do I have one and people around me expect me too. going with the flow of life is my best advice. What's the plan? The H#$#$LL I know, hehe
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll make a video specifically on this, but do check out my other productivity videos (productivity, discipline, etc) as much of my advice works great nfp types (I'm an enfp).
I would certainly be interested in your opinions of say GTD for ENFPs, or detailed lists vs. knowing what is critical. I am sure you have developed a system that works for you. I would be curious to know more :)
The “learning how to learn” course in coursera really helped me learn techniques on tackling procrastination and staying productive! I suggest you check it out -a fellow ENFP
ENFP here! I have been living with the shiny object syndrome for the past years but finally after watching this video on the May this year.. I can say I have stopped procrastinating and I follow through everything I do by holding myself accountable I have recently restarted my blog that I gave up years ago because I was not seeing fast results... But now I see the results I have posting in my blog constantly "slow is smooth and fast" I am not planning on giving up again or procrastinating Thank you so much for this amazing video so helpful
I love that fact that when an issue or problem causes me to focus, it is usually when I am studying a subject in college that I am interested in or passion about, but other than that, blah!! I am like a squirrel, lol!!! I have been an ENFP, hated that they say we are the "cheerleader" types.. I hated cheerleaders in high school. I love knowledge and am a proud "nerd". SOOO, I am glad to come across this fellow's video and see what's up. I love dreams and love talking about them. God given dreams, just dreams of better things or strange things. However, not many people I call friends because they don't think or feel like me. I am by myself in this department, but I don't care as I am older woman and see the "big picture" along with the details but the big picture is all that matters to me now. Not all those who wander are lost ~J.R.R. Tolkien.
This one really resonated with me Dan! "ENFPs are often changing directions and that really affects their focus and ability to achieve results." and "ENFP typically has a sense of urgency, a desire to make things happen quickly and if they don't meet that expectation, the ENFP gets disappointed, quits or changes direction ". My top takeaways, 1. realize my tendencies (impatient, overly optimistic for such a short timeframe, etc.) 2. Develop the longer range focus on time frames for achieving my goals 3. I'm attracted to novelty channel that proactively in sports or hobbies not my career or business.
This was a great video! I have so many hobbies, interests, talents, and things that I like to work towards in terms of career goals and stuff that I get side tracked or overwhelmed, and then I end up doing nothing consistently! Except playing my guitars. I always do that!
As an ENFP, i cant tell enough you how frustrating your advice was because i like things right now and easy and the idea of having to work so hard and wait so long for results drives me bonkers. That being said, you're very right and its great advice!!! I really need to work on focusing on my goals because i cant ever finish anything i start lol.
This happens with myself as well, I have the "Dammit Dan!" when I know the right thing to do but know it is going to be hard, but once you have the thought you have to do it.
yeah I do appreciate your reframe Dan of giving yourself more time and shifting how we relate to time and being more longer term actually takes some of the pressure of when there's smaller failures or let downs, don't have to say whop I guess that's a sign to stop... nope just keep going and don't have to be stressed about it because there is more time to build and its natural it will take time to build.
im a 26 enfp woman. i have new ideas every week on what i want to do. i painted for 2 years- a new project everyday. i have a ton of journals and note pads everywhere with a range of topics, poetry and lists. this week I'm trying to learn italian and singing while I'm looking for a car to buy and planning a fun night out with friends for the weekend. i have 5 tabs open, color analysis, email, phone bill, youtube, and my google search "what is a rear spoiler". THIS IS EXHAUSTING. you're right. i speed when i drive and i'm speeding though perfectly good ideas and conversations that could really become something amazing if a slowed down.
Loved this video Dan, I am only just learning about what being an ENFP means to me and how it has influenced my life so far. My Dad describes me as flighty - my friends describe me as a free spirit. But over the past year I have 100% been my own victim. I have gone from one business idea to another, had a load of different temp jobs, tried different diets, signed up to a load of different programmes. Basically my ENFP subconscious has been out of control because I haven't focused that energy into something positive and I also have allowed myself to DABBLE with literally everything. The end result is I have just felt like a continuous failure and all that negative internal language has been beating me up. I actually love the ideas you presented today (along with all your videos - I am quickly becoming a huge fan lol). Thanks for another awesome video!
I think this comment inspired an idea for another video, so thank you! I can't remember if I mention this in the video, but another element is that things can take time. I did some, perhaps all, of the kind of dabbling you mention and I can't honestly say if I had gotten great advice and mentorship then, if it would have changed it, or if I needed to learn from failure and time. I'm hoping a combination of understanding advice and time will help other ENFPs
@@enfp Time is our greatest enemy and can be the greatest ally/weapon. Thank you for stressing that. Most people don't understand us, especially me because I always felt like defending myself, but I have to ignore them or just stop talking to them, since they can't "see" (visions/dreams) what we see or believe.
As an ENFP, I have started several businesses, but gotten tired of them, and let them fade away. I really, really want my newest business to grow, and yet, one year into it, I have lost a lot of steam on it. I am so happy to have discovered your channel today, and I feel that you really, really are hitting the realities of the difficulties ENFPs can face when growing businesses, and/or working alone. Excellent video. Thank you!!!! I am feeling more hopeful now, and am going to follow your ideas.
I have been watching your videos constantly since I have taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test and found out that I was a 100% ENFP myself. I got blown away by how it matches my persona so precisely. A lot, if not all of the personality traits you mention in your videos are very relatable to me. You are an amazing coach and realizing how awfully I was managing my life with poorly-made decisions triggered by anxiety, lack of self confidence and fear has given me a totally new perspective. Thank you so much for helping all of us ENFPs deal with our struggles and succeed in such an effective way!!! You’re a GENIUS!
Hello, as an ENFP I enjoyed this video. Specifically, the tip about fulfilling the need for variety with things outside of business/career. One unfortunate element I'd like to add to this discussion is the following. Sometimes even when success is achieved ENFP's can still be eager to change directions or switch to something new. I mention this because you spoke about ENFP's switching when things turn out to be harder than expected which is certainly true. However, it appears to also be prevalent when a certain degree of success is achieved as well. Thanks for sharing. I think further exploring this topic is worthwhile for ENFP's. Our personality type generally desire big things but ends up with sub-par results due to focus and persistence being primary characteristics for genuine success thus we upset those around us and ourselves.
I couldn't agree more and that is something I have planned to make more content on but didn't think of while making this video. Once we have something going great, we can still "get bored" (for lack of a better term), and want to change things up, rather than just riding out the gravy train! Have you had any experience with this, good or bad?
Definitely had experience with this. Ultimately, it can be viewed as a positive or negative in my opinion. Negatives include jumping ship too often and getting nowhere so to speak. Positive in that we're not primary motivated by any one thing such as money as we like to continually be challenged (by ourselves not others :D) I say it leads to a more diverse and fulfilling life if controlled. Controlled via meditation or other techniques that calm what's commonly referred to as the "monkey mind". It's become apparent that others can easily motivate us but can't persuade us into not switching into the new shiny spoon haha. Just like you mentioned we can justify anything to ourselves and others. That being said I think ENFP are intelligent and if kept on focus can far surpass other personality types in any given area (not to sound conceited but it appears that our passion can rapidly accelerate the learning processes in any given area.)
Hellooo, Im a 1000% sure Im an ENFP but at the same time I HATE not getting something finished! It sooo bothers me! So maybe feeling this dissatisfaction with quitting is what keeps me going. Hope that helps someone
+Lion Heart Have you always been that way with completing things? I had a shift at some point and I'm definitely the same way with needing to finish something.
Dreams Around The World Not really but Yes on the surface there was a shift, now I feel real urgency to end things. But Ive always felt more excited by beginnings and more satisfied by endings. Thx for answering so fast and by the way your name is a good one
I've been watching quite a few videos today after I decided last night that I must make a five-year plan. I'm constantly giggling because so much of what you say is a reflection of my habits. I really want to make some positive adjustments, so thank you so much!
In there isn't one. I listed two possible pathways and felt unsatisfied. I know what my long-term goal is and my plan didn't clearly reflect that. Instead, I've decided to set myself small tasks that I can accomplish one by one. It's less stressful and allows me the leeway to decide what the next best cause of action is, rather than following a list (I'm too easily prone to changing my mind to restrict myself like that). Your videos continue to be inspiring. Thank you
Great video. I am an ENFP. I've always had many interests, hobbies and passions, some of which I have done professionally until I realized it wasn't that interesting. Music has been my main career as a singer & teacher and I've stuck with it because there are so many different aspects of singing and piano teaching when it comes to technique, literature, vocal anatomy, languages, performance psychology, musical genes, etc. I'm never bored! My teaching, performing and UA-cam channel is so successful that I yearn for more time for my other interests and hobbies!
Vocal Splendor Studios I am also an ENFP I’ve switched my major 3 times already I’m thinking of going into music or visual arts because they’re flexible and never ending. Thank you for ur comment it encourages me!
What you said is so true... Right now I'm doing a SIX-year long university degree. I'm halfway through it but I think every single day that ooh I want this and that... I want to do so many things... typical ENFP. The only thing that keeps me going is that I remind myself everytime when I curse myself for committing myself to a 6-year project is that it's important and I know that when I'll finish it I will enjoy my work very much. But now It's really hard to stay on this path. I feel that in these years maybe I miss out on opportunities. It's really a struggle even if I know this is a right path for me.
+Bettina K. While extra hard for an enfp, I think this is also just a human struggle. Learning to focus on longer term rewards at the cost of short term sacrifices or (perceived) missed opportunities. Congrats on staying on track!
I had the same problem when I was doing my PhD. My plan was to finish it in 3 to 3.5 years, but it took me nearly six years, but I did get there in the end, so can you too!
You nailed it! I am an ENFP and have had much success “in spite of myself”. I might take twice as long to accomplish things because I am so easily sidetracked or distracted, but I eventually force myself to finish things. Great video. Excellent advice.
Recently I started to feel very bad about myself for always changing direction and always finding good excuses to justify my decisions. I was starting to feel as if there's something wrong with me and my family pointing these things out on a daily basis hasn't helped me at all...this video just made me realize that I'm not the only one doing these things and right now I feel a little better about myself and my life and I really wanna make some deep changes when it comes to my attitude towards goals. Thank you so much for this.
I’m an ENFP and am at the point of choosing a career path. I resonated so much with your video. I had my mind set up for the longest time then things (COVID primarily) have happened and I changed direction of my career path. I’m not sure whether I’m lying to myself about this new career choice that it is a better option, or have been lying to myself about the primary career path with idealism. My mentors tell me to have a mindset of “burning the bridge you crossed” and even though I understand what they mean, I like having multiple backup plans...however, unlike some other ENFPs, once I start something, I do not quit but it takes me longer to achieve a goal because I spend time looking around other “new” things. I was impelled to share my story with you after watching the video. Thanks for these videos btw! Very helpful.
Firstly, from one ENFP to another, it sounds like you've done a ton of different things and have been really successful at most of them by utilizing your strengths of being both versatile and adaptable. Right now with Covid-19 changing the way everything in the world is working, adaptability is more important than ever. As a fellow ENFP, I've done loads of different things and had a lot of successes, but I've also chosen to walk away when things were no longer working. This isn't necessarily a negative quality. Follow-through on commitments is of course important but also knowing when to "call it" when things outside of our control happen, is equally important. Those who know how to "bend like a reed" during our current pandemic are going to be able to weather the storm of these dramatic times much more easily than those who feel the need to stay committed to a specific way of doing things. Many ENFP's may feel inadequate for changing their ideas or their direction, but adaptability is a hugely helpful (and often underrated) quality, especially now. (P.S. Great webcast - keep it up!)
This was great and had an ahaaa moment when you said get variety in other, constructive ways instead of through your business or relationship. Thank you Dan!
Hi! I just found your entrepreneur Enfp video, and I swear, you are giving me so much life! I'm a senior in college, and I've been beating myself up for all four years because I've been under performing in school, and I felt like I had no skills or talents because I rarely accomplished what my friends have already accomplished. I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but my lack of commitment has left me feeling empty and unsuccessful. I retook the Meyer Briggs test to ensure that I really was an enfp, looked at the analysis afterwards, and was shocked. It was the first time in a while I saw strengths that I deemed as weaknesses for so long. The last video helped me realize that I can be an entrepreneur as an enfp, even without a passion for strict competition and discipline, because I felt like I didn't have those things. Now this video is helping me solve the issue of commitment that I've had forever. I have this need to prove to everyone that I can be successful, but if I can't do everything perfectly in a week or a couple of days, I abandon it. I now know that I define my own happiness and that I am very talented and skilled, not just an idea machine. I want to test your idea on "using other ways to satisfy my need for new" by exploring my city more and getting into photography. Then I can come back as do as much work as I can my my business and financial situation. So with all of the said, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom! It's seriously life changing.
You are very welcome Jarne! I think something like photography would also have other benefits in terms of being a bit calming and adding a changing yet routine activity to help ground you as well. Dan
Spirituality is truly helping me build up discipline. I follow the Bhakti yoga tradition. Since implementing and adopting spiritual practices I am able to mediate for 2-2 1/2 hours a day, my attraction/desire to watch mundane videos on youtube *procrastination* is greatly diminished. I have gravitated to things that are naturally good for me like a vegetarian diet, drinking water, quitting caffeine etc without too much effort/willpower on my part, walking/exercise. fasting. etc.My character is more refined and I am a sharper thinker. I am better at discriminating what is good bad etc. (a lot of this is also due to my intuitive nature as well ).These qualities that serve to reflect a more disciplined me just happen to be side effects/by products of cultivating spiritual practices and Im not making too much effort on my part. This is a drastic improvement of the me from BEFORE. Maybe this info may help somebody out there! xx
Changing ways of thinking or decision making, and making new habits, are definitely preferable to being "disciplined" in how we traditionally think of it. I'm still optimistic I'll get to 10 minutes a day of meditation by year's end :)
I agree to me, I just feel like I've been substituting less favourable activities for better activities. I would still not necessarily refer to myself as a disciplined person-each to their own! :)
ENFP here, I lost my INTJ mentor of 8 years when I childishly claimed that "I'm an adult and can make my own decisions!". I look back now and realize that I wasted 4 years of my life (from 18-22 years old) changing directions. I could have gotten my degree in that time, but instead I'm watching all my high school friends on Facebook accepting their Bachelor's degree's and going on their way to a master's. My perception of time was that I was standing on a ticking time bomb about to explode if I didn't catch up to them. As a result, I overloaded myself with college courses every semester only to fail them all at the end. Finally I know what I want to do, and I'm afraid its too late... Anyway, Thanks for sharing your process. I hope it continues to be a fulfilling life for you.
I‘m an ENFP and can definitely say that the „shiny object syndrome“ used to be very true for me. I jumped from one thing to the next, which shows a strength but also a weakness. The strength being that I have accumulated knowledge in a bunch of different areas (and it has made my life a lot easier) but the downside is, as you said, that we never finish anything. I also see the 4 Personality types of Gretchen Ruben playing a huge role in this: we ENFPs are Questioners with a rebel tendency. The upside: when we do find something we are absolutely passionate about, we are reckless hardworkers and determined to get to the very bottom of it and beyond, ESPECIALLY when it makes us FEEL compelled to act, or just makes us feel good. The downside: everything else we just toss away (me during high school) TIPS: - for the things you don‘t „feel“ like doing, use your bullshi‘‘ing power the other way around: find all the reasons as to why this IS IMPORTANT or beneficial to YOU. Kinda play devil‘s advocate in a way. - if you‘re a student, study somewhere different every time, a new coffee shop or library. - take out your creativity and imagination on an art that fits you, like drawing/singing/dancing or everything at once (like me haha) - switch up your style every now and then, hair color, nail color, hairstyle, whatever works. That‘s also great to add that novelty factor. I hope this was helpful 🙌🏼 LET‘S GET THAT BREAD
As an ENFP who runs a business/YT all your points are SCARILY accurate man, been going through all your vids as fast as possible man. Definitely coming back to rewatch them later too haha
I love this video! I started a new job 5 months ago, and I already felt like quitting because it didn’t meet my ideal vision I had. But I’m giving myself 2 years, and if I still dislike it, I’m leaving. But I’m holding myself accountable
Brother - this was spot on hahaha. I first saw your video about our perks where you mentioned this video, but I was actually looking to hear someone tell me how I can strengthen my weaknesses. This is spot on. Thank you🙏🏼 My big reminders and takeaways: 1) Instead of subtly changing directions. Learn To Finish. 2) Patience. Commit to something and stick to it (Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast) 3) Meet need for Excitement in a proactive way on the side, so I can stay steady in my business.
this video really helped me since I just left architecture school. it was so stressful i got sick luckily my parents support the idea. so now i'm at genesis and 1 trillion ideas keep circling in my mind.
I stumbled upon your channel and being an ENFP myself it feels great to be a part of this amazing community of pike minded people 😊 Keep up the good work bro 👍🏻
Do you have a video about ENFP's dealing with rejection? Not just in a relationship, but also in the working field. When you keep getting rejection applying to jobs.
I changed country and jobs on pretty much a whim. I am definitely craving the excitement of doing it again, but I am worried about the damaging impact it will have on my career. A super helpful video for me, particularly about how easy it is for us to lie to ourselves. I definitely acknowledge that sometimes I put the blindfold on to justify my actions!
Oh my gosh this is speaking right to my soul!! For the last 5-6 years, I believed I was INFP (apparently a common misconception) but after my latest 2 week youtube spree, there is NO doubt left, I am 100% ENFP. I struggle with ALL of these things (funny to feel so excited about relating to a bunch of negative traits/bad habits, ha!) But it makes so much sense and explains so much!! The last time I felt this amped over a puzzle piece of self discovery was getting an ADHD diagnosis at 35 years old... I especially love this channel because I also own my own creative business, and I worked SO hard to make it successful - harder than I have EVER worked on one thing in my life, doing something I am naturally talented at but also LOVE doing, and I am reeeeaaallly struggling with the burn-out & self sabotage gigs at the moment, which stinks because my business has become successful enough to support my little 3 person family, AND I get to work from a home studio as a single mom of 2 boys - it's not just my ass on the line, so I can't just throw in the towel as I would have in years past... I don't want to lose all my progress and momentum, and have been frantically searching for help/advice on how to get my proverbial sh*t back together! This channel is a freaking gold mine and has so far given me the greatest insight & actionable steps to take that I actually find possible/reasonable - just knowing what personal needs to focus on makes all the difference, plus the realization of how much I do tamper with my business "strategy" without allowing the proper amount of time to pass before feeling discouraged & trying something new. Hiring a "tax man" for the mind numbing paper-worky stuff was my 1st step - a total win. Now I just need to figure out how I can spend more time making my shiny things (the part that I love - which happens to be making *actual* shiny things, I am a jewelry designer/artist and work with sparkly gemstones) and less time feeling frazzled over pricing equations, keeping inventory, tracking sales data (blurg)... It's been awhile since I felt so strongly that I am on the right path, so HOORAY! (and also - thank you for the awesome videos!)
This is so great! I'm so glad I found this video-I'm subscribing to your channel :) I have a difficult time taking advice from someone who doesn't have the same personality as me because they don't know my challenges or where I am coming from. I so appreciate your perspective. I have been struggling, for all the reasons you mentioned in the video..but I feel like I can now move forward to feel successful. Thank you!
Also wanted to say that I think we can learn from people who have different personalities and approaches to life, but I love that there are ENFP's out there who have struggles just like mine.
I've definitely had an issue with focus. Listening to the audio version of Essentialism really helped me to get perspective on the power of focus. So find myself making more realistic plans and steeling myself for the process from idea to actualisation.
WOAH so true and so helpful!! This definitely resonates with me. I think getting super clear on the ultimate direction and writing it down in detail is a wise activity, especially so you have something to come back to when you're starting to go off in another direction!
I stumbled upon your video and was blown away by how relevant everything you have to say is to my "lived experience." I am a 59-year old ENFP and have referred to myself as an "occupational drifter" because I have had so many different types of jobs throughout my life. Of course, as you say, all of these course corrections have sabotaged my ability to get ahead in my career and I'm working with people 30 years younger than me at the same job level. Bottom line: I have finally transitioned into a role (instructional design and corporate training) that I hope I can stay with as it scratches all of the ENFP itches: variety, project-based work, working closely with others, etc. Of all the jobs I've had being a "performance coach" was by far the most satisfying. I would coach underperforming Technical Account Managers in areas where they were weak (e.g. not sounding confident on their customer calls). I got huge satisfaction from helping people one on one. Thank you again for this great content. I can't wait to explore more of what you have to say! I've taken Myers-Briggs several times throughout my life and am right on the cusp of E/I and P/J.
I started to zone out and think about the stuff I haven't finished and took a sharp right and started doing something else. All the while he was talking in the background and I had to reel myself back in. I need to do better. #squirrel
Uhm holy moly I relate. Just wondering if anyone feel the same as me: I'm quite young (18), but somehow I feel like I have no time to accomplish all the things that I've sat my mind to as younger, and still set my mind to. It's like I always feel like it's too late. Does anyone relate?
As an ENFP ADHDer who is 39 and been in a big life transition, I resonate a lot and both feel called out haha and also appreciate your super helpful tips and reframes! I feel like I've felt a lot of shame around jumping around so much with different career/ business directions, yet equally I am also grateful I have cultivated so many skills and have found jobs and clients quite easily from my many skills. For example, after trying to make it off my performance, body-based and creative pursuits, I got burnt out and needed to make money so applied to a govt job back in my left-brain skillset and got the 1st job I applied to. So very grateful as I think a positive is we don't get pigeon-holed and can keep our options open. (LOL I have about 15 different types of resumes). But yet I'm not quite where I want to be in different aspects of my life. It's hard balancing my creative pursuits and love of dance performing, teaching yoga and embodiment, personal training with my professional work experience in Grants administration and fundraising and knowing how to merge these disparate skills into one career/ business trajectory. I want to write down some of your tips in this video.
I have to comment. Hello, my people! Went to a friends church last week and a guy said to me..have you done the myers briggs test..i think you're an ENFP..I was like what??he was like, you're extroverted..I said, I think I'm an introvert etc.. Anyhoo, I did the test and have been watching some videos and it is really really nice to know there are other people out there who are like me-hahaha I actually feel this is very of God..because for a while I've been stuggling with knowing who I am.. Also, I believe we can change who we are..and work on things we need to work on.. eg.become less turbulant and more assertive..but it's so nice to know..I feel I can breathe a bit and accept myself..becuase this is, who I am and who I've been created to be..... And I was LOLLLLing at people saying about are you watching this at a faster speed.. with it turned up to 1.5x oh man, truth.. Anyways, I'm gonna keep lookin into this..this is really, really helpful stuff and is setting my mind free.. Right I'll get back to the video now..
I made a free training for you guys which might help with applying our superpowers to create an awesome life and figuring out more of these ENFP challenges. You can get it here: www.dreamsaroundtheworld.com/enfptraining/
What you are talking about here with the change in perception of time came to light for me when I started working out... I realized that success comes to those who are consistent in their small set of daily tasks and finding enjoyment in doing those tasks... it's no big hoorah speech, its a really quiet process. But what you will find is that you become something else... nothing will stop you!
I'm an ENFP. You read my freakin mail in this video. Think in terms of a year, and intentionally look for and find excitement and variety so that my unconscious doesn't go finding it in other (unplanned) ways. I needed this. Thanks.
That's the ENFP mistake we all make! I don't care whether you book it a month in advance, jumping out of an airplane or trekking through some sketchy place is always going to be exciting. The obvious ones to me would be travel (non all inclusive!), one-off crazy activities (I did this supercar challenge on my 28th birthday, driving Lamborghini, etc), or finding a sport or physical activity that will always get you. Personally I haven't done this consistently, but I imagine martial arts, rock climbing, etc would do the trick.
I play music and go to concerts. I think that I need to find some other activities to add into this to add excitement because I'm spending too much time playing FPS video games! :-D
You know you’re an ENFP when you have the video playing so you can entertain yourself while you are doing chores you put off a long time (and then stopping the chores half way through)
I love your video. I fought the notion of being an ENFP after reading all that is said about the personality. There is far more depth and stability (yes, stability) to this personality type than appears at first sight. The biggest downfall of the ENFP type is self doubt and comparing oneself to others. I used to think if I get lost in the world (traveling, socially experimenting etc) that I'd have no focus and end up with nothing. However, when I did stop worrying and let myself go there emerged within my personality all the core, stable, firm traits that I've always so wanted to be applied to me. One can absolutely have the cake and eat it too, we're ENFPs, let go and create a way to eat cake and have soke left over. Forget about normal, be absolutely superb. Also, have an anchor, my anchor is a belief in God, it calms my worrying heart and gives loads of confidence.
Could not have been more accurate, every last detail. Been searching for this solution for a while since I recognised I was ENFP. I feel I just found it!! This is the single biggest issue of my life rn.
Wow!!!!! I just learned that I’m an ENFP, and I’m so very happy to have come across you and your videos. It feels good to know there are other people like me. Maybe I’m not crazy after all. I’ve only watched this video but I’m definitely going to watch more of your stuff. It feels great to know I’m not alone!!!! Thank you so much for doing this!!!!!
I am an enfp and am very good at long term thinking and planning in some ways. I do like new and novel things and I like to start projects more than doing all the details involved in finishing them but I am able to stay in one job a long time and plan my long term finances well. That doesn’t mean I like my job, but I stay.
I've been hovering around, listening to videos similar to this while doing other things, and I really appreciate this advice. Spoke straight to me; I'm 19 and I've played 5+ instruments in my musical career thus far, but music school forces you into only one for 4 years. It's hard not wanting to jump around, or when I see someone who needs help I can't seem to say no. I think my maximum outlook on success has only reached about two years in any direction; I haven't put thought into the "endgame" kind of content. This video was eye-opening, I appreciate it. :)
Finally! I just finished writing the first chapter of my first book that Ive planned 2 years ago and it took me 3 weeks to make it. Procracination and internal saboteur is the main villain. Hopefully this video motivate me to continue. Proud ENFP here, baby. Cheers soul sisters and soul brothers. HAHAHA.
I had no idea the need for something new was bc of this!! That it's so common!! Your advice is so helpful. I'm binging it all rn in probably typical enfp fashion but honestly... I will make more effort to provide myself with new things. I drown too quickly in social media and it's self destructing
These videos of yours have given me such hope. I thought I was broken and damaged. Im not, Im ENFP. I thought I Was INFP until I stumbled across ENFP. I make so much sense to me now. Thank you for your dedication to ENFP.
Hi, i got to know im an ENPF about 4 years ago, and also got convinced that im an empath recently. being married to a covert vulnerable Narc for 11 years right now im healing form the narc abuse and on my way to transforming gradually from the negative co-dependent personality traits to becoming an empowered super empath. Like you have very correctly said, i spend a lot of time self reflecting and self learning and unlearning. Can u please do a video about the connection between ENFPS who are also Empaths .. that will be really helpful. Bless you Thank you.. Really appreciate your service. Saku from Sri Lanka
Thank you for your videos. I found you today and I watched a lot of videos. They’re helping me 😉 I’m ENFP and You know exactly what I do and I feel in all my life and It is so difficulty to explain for other people. Thank you 🙏
I´m a visual artist, I started a recording studio with my best friends, 3 of them are ENFPs just like me, and there is an ENFJ which we all agreed to name him the "Boss" of the project even being myself the main investor on all the equipment and such. He is the one that keeps a track of my tasks and jobs with the customers, and sadly, this is the only thing I ve managed to see get some success and it´s mainly because of other people with the same objectives I have keeping the "my dream" alive. I started the project on a small department 2 years ago, now we are a group working as a team and achieving goals with some artists recorded by us and a venue for our recordings. Just like I dreamed when I was kid. Your video enlightened me so hard it hurted. Thats why I sadly say this proyect it´s "my" only success. I wouldn´t be here if it wasn´t for my friends and their work. Ironically I keep a track and get things done by keeping a journal with really short term tasks, and I just realized I need to raise the bar, get back on track (I didn´t know how lost I was), and commit to long term goals. Thanks, I stayed the whole video and realized it was 15 minutes long afterwards cause it felt short, there is still a lot to learn from ourselves.
As an ENFP, this video speaks to me on an extraordinary level. It is insanely difficult for me to actually do what I plan to do. What helps is to really think and reflect about your WHY. Write it down, and dwell on it. WHY do you want to accomplish ___? If you have a clear, and i mean very clear answer, you will get there. Because you can clearly envision your goal. We ENFPs are great at imagining and dreaming, so if we can dream it, we can do it. We just need to focus on our WHY, and the discipline will come forth. Thank you for your amazing videos, I learn about myself more and more :)
Its funny. I took the test today and have been astounded by the fact I'm completely an ENFP. The crazier thing? This is like the second video I watched on this and I constantly use the phrase to myself, slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Also your bit on podcasting is a million percent true as Ive experienced the notion that it takes time. Year 6 for my pod and its just getting to the level I expected in 6 months. Spot on dude
I cannot tell you how much this video has resonated with me. I have been having so many struggles that have effected my self confidence because of all of these ENFP issues. I'm glad I am not the only one and that there is a way to overcome these challenges.
Yay I am glad I found your page :) I've actually just changed careers in the last few months and it's become very stressful because I find I am not getting the results I wanted but I know am a starter rather than a finisher. I'm trying to be productive but I feel like I'm drowining not knowing how to be successful. Making meaningful goals and being able to constantly be productive and follow through are areas I need to improve in. I have also realized because I am starting something new and don't know as much as everyone else around me, it's made me self conscious and I hold myself back out of fear of failure or looking stupid around my peers or other professionals. I am a jack of all trades but a master of none really.
I needed to hear this. I've struggled with sticking with anything since leaving school, and I'm currently part-way through my 2nd attempt at a PhD. As a standard ENFP, I excelled during my first few months but I've hit a motivation slump recently - knowing the only goal I have to work towards (my thesis hand in) is still a couple of years away, it is easy to get sidetracked or come up with excuses for not focusing on the tasks I need to do. Because I find one aspect of my project more difficult, I end up not putting in the hours I really should, and spending more time on the stuff I find easier or just procrastinating. Then as soon as I get feedback and learn I have to correct stuff I've already done, I get bored and frustrated with it. I'm now going to start thinking of my hand-in date as a chance for me to hit those targets and accomplish the tasks I've started, rather than as a looming, scary thing to mentally back away from.
I'm a fellow Canadian and ENFP (ENFP-T to be exact). I'm so glad that I've stumbled up you videos! it's been such an eye opener and in a way also guilt and shame reliever. Thank you!
Your channel is the best, how valuable to see another ENFP success while you are stuck in your procrastination and guilt trapped, it's very inspiring and promising 😊
Yup, ENFP here. Started my career in a big high tech company, hated the structure but got to participate in 3 new groups in 6 yrs. From there it was all high tech startups (with 3 successful exits), which is kind of funny since my undergrad degree is in English, French and Spanish Literature. Since my last startup I've done some consulting, that was fun, and started a western horse riding stable and sold it, wicked fun. These days I spend my time organizing events for my hobbies: competitive archery and firearms, horses, and motorcycling, If i were to peg my #1 success it is team building. How - IDing the goal and what my contribution is, getting folks on board to fill the other requirements, giving the team room to plan/act/adjust, and keep all motivate through the inevitable project peaks and valleys.
Great video!! Your last comment about meeting the need for newness is sooooo important and just gave me a huge realization of the path of my life and business these past 3 years...whew!!! Now that's was a huge help!! Thank you. This is my first day of seeing your content and i am very grateful for the clarity you provide in areas where i have been very lost. God bless!
I'm an ENFP and this channel have been so good to me!! I've been making hard decisions for the last 5 years and since I started learning about ENFP personality everything is so much easier!! All you said and this video has happened to me and I've learned it the hard way. I wish I watched this years ago. Now I'm about to make my boldest move ever... And I'm totally facing it as an ENFP would!!! LEt's see what magic comes from this!! A BIG TURN in my life!! Greetings and thank you!!
Found this today. This content is very helpful especially "slow is smooth and smooth is fast." I didn't understand why I had this constant need for change. When doing my assignment, I open up numerous tabs and end up not reading none of them. I always procrastinate and am always distracted. I started to hate this in me. Thankful for your content
Hey, Dan, Im an Brazilian ENFP and love your videos so much that I decided to put portuguese subtitles on them, so more people can watch it. Thanks for doing what you do. This is so useful!
Hey Lais, that's amazing, thank you! If there's anything we can do to help, get in touch with me! www.dreamsaroundtheworld.com/ask-dan/ is probably the easiest way, or via the FB page.
It's really refreshing to see a fellow ENFP succeeding and accomplishing their goals despite the mindset and little patience we embody. Thank you for sharing your knowledge to us.
My new book, THE ENFP CALLING, is out now in Audiobook (I narrated), Print, and Digital. It's on Amazon (amzn.to/3Hn75Wv ), Audible ( www.audible.com/pd/The-ENFP-Calling-Audiobook/B0D79QMDCR? ), and most everywhere else you can get books books2read.com/enfp
And before you think "Oh god, another UA-camr / Coach wrote some sh*tty book summarizing their videos...Scout's honor...this book is the furthest thing from regurgitation. It's 270 pages (or 8 hours on audiobook) of new ideas, stories, and insights. Check out the reviews on Amazon ( amzn.to/3Hn75Wv
You know you're an ENFP when you're reading the comments while the video is playing
OH MY GOD !!!! 😂
😂
*hand raises
hahahaha god help us
So guilty.
You know you're an ENFP when you had to rewind every 5 minutes because you weren't paying attention xD
Haha in all seriousness, though, great video. Honestly, in my opinion, the best entry-level careers for an ENFP are *by far* Entrepreneurship or Consulting (at a company), although there are probably a few other careers that work as well. Here's why:
Entrepreneurship: Ok, I'm going to be my normal lazy ENFP self and not really elaborate on this one because I feel like it should be obvious to most people. if not, let me know and I'll elaborate on it.
LOL I can totally relate to that xD
The struggle is real!
Awesome!
How many ENFP's are watching this on 2x speed? 😂
😂😂😂😂
I am😂😂😂 1.5 x
Tara Wagner 1.75x 😂😂😂
Yep... x3 if i could
Mee
I’m such an ENFP, I was reading the comments when he said “come on focus” to the camera and I thought he was talking to me and telling me to stop getting distracted. I got so scared 😂
I was talking to you Holly
Oh God! i just posted the same comment. Yikes!
Haha, I had the same reaction :P
That's funny because I kept switching my focus on the objects in his room and kept checking for what time was left in the video
@@enfp this is funny cause I watched it twice and missed the blur both times taking notes and thought he was seeing things
You now you're an ENFP when you watch this in fast-motion.
As long as you watch to the end I'm happy :)
damn right you are!!!!!
I love listening to podcast on 2.5 the speed. And just incase anyone is looking for an app that doesn't make the audio muddy I use Overcast.
I'm not spam. Just a suggestion for my fellow ENFPs
Good idea. Changing speed now.👍🏽
1.5x only because i am italian😂
I'm a hardcore ENFP. I'm currently multi-tasking 11 tabs while listening to you. Not finishing anything and starting a bit of everything. I'm thinking I want to start a business within a week. ahhh. The struggle. But its great to know who i am and that there is others out there like me that have succeeded. Thanks. I have subscribed and taking note.
The only excuse for having 11 tabs is if you're watching 11 of my videos at once :)
lol Try 20 tabs!! That's me at the current moment. smh
Sarah Martin haha know that feeling ;)
I just counted i LITERALLY had 11 tabs open too, LOL!!!
This is hilarious because I literally counted my tabs...9. WHAAAA!!!??? :joy:
That moment when he said focus .. i was like how does he know ?!?!
When Dan had the autofocus problem, it did make me think, how many other ENFPs are losing their focus now and needed that to bring them back? I was one. There are no accidents!
Isata Barrie He got me at ‘going from one thing to the next and so on’.
Hahah.. that snapped me out of looking on Redfin while listening
I demand 100% focus while watching my videos :)
I have a few other videos about discipline, and will be doing more in the future as well. Enjoy!
I want to thank you for your great advices! I definitely subscribed to your channel :).Looking forward to new videos !
AHAHAHAH
I understand you completely.....I have literally done all type of jobs.....all in some type of social or medical services....and I always want to do something different. I have a hard time completing small everyday task.....I have no concept of time.....when it starts or stop.....my financial life is repairing but I suffer from implosive and self defeating spending. I am in the comments, reading, listening to the videos, writing case notes, and somehow eating.....dating literally gives me anxiety because I'm somehow I know my inability to be practical is going to ruin future relationships, but I have this intense need to LOVE EVERYONE! HELP IM AN ENFP!
I had read ur comment like 5 times before I started paying attention to what I was reading haha@@vwood8711
I'm so happy to hear this! Reading your comment has made my day and don't forget...you're awesome!
Lynsey Wright I feel you....I also felt some way at some point
Lynsey I am so glad that you found your inner most demons were actually your greatest talents! Please be true to yourself, because the people around you most certainly adore your passion & look up to you as a leader. Even though you may not see yourself that way. You are not alone, we've shared the same pain sister! So glad to hear you're seeing it as a gift now :-)
+English with Lucy Awesome stuff Lucy! With the accent and great content, it's no wonder you have done well. You're a great example for everyone
English with Lucy can we do a video chat?? I’m in desperate search of wisdom from enfp women like you
I love you....neither do I have one and people around me expect me too. going with the flow of life is my best advice. What's the plan? The H#$#$LL I know, hehe
Gente é a lucyy
I had no idea my favourite teacher was an Enfp 😯
Whenever I watch your videos, I realize that there's at least someone who understands my behaviour and makes me feel confident in my self.
Hello fellow enfp indian !👀
@@soulfull5567 hi
Please do a video on productivity systems for ENFP
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll make a video specifically on this, but do check out my other productivity videos (productivity, discipline, etc) as much of my advice works great nfp types (I'm an enfp).
I would certainly be interested in your opinions of say GTD for ENFPs, or detailed lists vs. knowing what is critical. I am sure you have developed a system that works for you. I would be curious to know more :)
The “learning how to learn” course in coursera really helped me learn techniques on tackling procrastination and staying productive! I suggest you check it out -a fellow ENFP
I suppose you don't mean:
"Get up and do whatever the fuck you want"
Right?
*looks sad*
The ENFP never finishing blogs : Nailed it!!!!!
😭😭😭
I've had a few... 😪
ENFP here! I have been living with the shiny object syndrome for the past years but finally after watching this video on the May this year.. I can say I have stopped procrastinating and I follow through everything I do by holding
myself accountable
I have recently restarted my blog that I gave up years ago because I was not seeing fast results... But now I see the results I have posting in my blog constantly "slow is smooth and fast"
I am not planning on giving up again or procrastinating
Thank you so much for this amazing video so helpful
Thank you Kevin for the follow up reply! If you haven't yet, be sure to sign up for my emails via my website! Would be great to keep in touch
OMG This is so clear! I get bored of everything after a while but only in career. Other parts of my life, I can stay until death with no problem.
Glad you enjoyed it!
LMAO.. when you said look up all the unfinished blogs... that's me (I've got about 4 floating around the interwebs)
Only 4? That isn't so bad :P
Precisely! Hahaha
HAHAHAHAHA can relate.
SOOO SPOT ON!!!
SAME HERE!!! hahahaha
This was a great video! I have so many hobbies, interests, talents, and things that I like to work towards in terms of career goals and stuff that I get side tracked or overwhelmed, and then I end up doing nothing consistently! Except playing my guitars. I always do that!
That's one thing I always WISHED I did but it seems musical ability isn't my thing :)
Same here Steve! Are we twins?!
Same haha, I want to do everything, and I end up doing nothing, or starting and getting distracted. Except for playing guitar and piano.
This happens with myself as well, I have the "Dammit Dan!" when I know the right thing to do but know it is going to be hard, but once you have the thought you have to do it.
same same same
@@enfp 🎯🎯🎯
yeah I do appreciate your reframe Dan of giving yourself more time and shifting how we relate to time and being more longer term actually takes some of the pressure of when there's smaller failures or let downs, don't have to say whop I guess that's a sign to stop... nope just keep going and don't have to be stressed about it because there is more time to build and its natural it will take time to build.
im a 26 enfp woman. i have new ideas every week on what i want to do. i painted for 2 years- a new project everyday. i have a ton of journals and note pads everywhere with a range of topics, poetry and lists. this week I'm trying to learn italian and singing while I'm looking for a car to buy and planning a fun night out with friends for the weekend. i have 5 tabs open, color analysis, email, phone bill, youtube, and my google search "what is a rear spoiler".
Thanks Jose! I may print your comment out on put it on my wall for my own confidence. Dan
So true Steve
100% agree on needing to find the REALLY right thing
I've been watching quite a few videos today after I decided last night that I must make a five-year plan.
I'm constantly giggling because so much of what you say is a reflection of my habits. I really want to make some positive adjustments, so thank you so much!
So, what's the 5 year plan? :)
Thank you
This was EXTREMELY helpful! I’m ENFP AND have ADD so the struggle is SO real!
same here it is, but we can do it! plus we can have that deep deep knowledge of some things, which is really cool
Definitely feel that struggle with you!
Happy for your content
Bettina K. i wish you the best luck sis :D
Doing my Masters, I can so relate.. 😅 Remember the purpose / end goal & hang in there.. ❤
You nailed it! I am an ENFP and have had much success “in spite of myself”. I might take twice as long to accomplish things because I am so easily sidetracked or distracted, but I eventually force myself to finish things. Great video. Excellent advice.
Thanks Rachel! :)
From one ENFP to another ENFP you're so hilarious. I resonate with your videos and humor. Thanks Lots!
Maybe this info may help somebody out there! xx
I'm an ENFP to be clear
Changing ways of thinking or decision making, and making new habits, are definitely preferable to being "disciplined" in how we traditionally think of it. I'm still optimistic I'll get to 10 minutes a day of meditation by year's end :)
I agree
to me, I just feel like I've been substituting less favourable activities for better activities. I would still not necessarily refer to myself as a disciplined person-each to their own! :)
Special Kay kudos that you figured out . Well on the track ...
I hope it continues to be a fulfilling life for you.
hey its never too late ..u can do it
I‘m an ENFP and can definitely say that the „shiny object syndrome“ used to be very true for me.
The downside: everything else we just toss away (me during high school)
TIPS:
- for the things you don‘t „feel“ like doing, use your bullshi‘‘ing power the other way around: find all the reasons as to why this IS IMPORTANT or beneficial to YOU. Kinda play devil‘s advocate in a way.
- if you‘re a student, study somewhere different every time, a new coffee shop or library.
- take out your creativity and imagination on an art that fits you, like drawing/singing/dancing or everything at once (like me haha)
- switch up your style every now and then, hair color, nail color, hairstyle, whatever works.
Awesome, glad you like them!
"Come on, back to my face" .. Lol ..You got me! I am ENFP..😂
:)
I love this video! I started a new job 5 months ago, and I already felt like quitting because it didn’t meet my ideal vision I had. But I’m giving myself 2 years, and if I still dislike it, I’m leaving. But I’m holding myself accountable
"Always switching who you're dating" hmm interesting tips :D Thanks for sharing this
+Bernadette Yarra you're welcome :)
Hahaha sounds like younger me!
Brother - this was spot on hahaha. I first saw your video about our perks where you mentioned this video, but I was actually looking to hear someone tell me how I can strengthen my weaknesses. This is spot on. Thank you🙏🏼
My big reminders and takeaways:
1) Instead of subtly changing directions. Learn To Finish.
2) Patience. Commit to something and stick to it (Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast)
3) Meet need for Excitement in a proactive way on the side, so I can stay steady in my business.
Thanks Rowan!
this video really helped me since I just left architecture school. it was so stressful i got sick luckily my parents support the idea. so now i'm at genesis and 1 trillion ideas keep circling in my mind.
Glad it's helped and keep me updated on where you decide to focus!
I stumbled upon your channel and being an ENFP myself it feels great to be a part of this amazing community of pike minded people 😊
Keep up the good work bro 👍🏻
Do you have a video about ENFP's dealing with rejection? Not just in a relationship, but also in the working field. When you keep getting rejection applying to jobs.
Keep going.. 100 no to reject you.. just 1 yes to accept you..
This was a great video with incredible tips! I'm an ENFJ-A but got lots of value from this. Thanks!😊
Very true! And thank you! I will be doing a video in the future about learning from an ENTJ...no promises on when though.
And I like hearing “success stories” Often times I get so frustrated with my lack of follow through or constant need for change
I've definitely had an issue with focus. Listening to the audio version of Essentialism really helped me to get perspective on the power of focus. So find myself making more realistic plans and steeling myself for the process from idea to actualisation.
I NEEDED to hear this!
Me too! Good stuff!
WOAH so true and so helpful!! This definitely resonates with me. I think getting super clear on the ultimate direction and writing it down in detail is a wise activity, especially so you have something to come back to when you're starting to go off in another direction!
I laughed out loud at the bit about BS-ing ourselves. Ahhh gee.
Thanks man ,great content for an ENFP-j who doesn’t finish things ...today that starts
You're welcome Bruce, glad I've helped! :)
Thank you thank you.thank you thank you. Needed to hear it from someone else
You're very welcome! Dan
@5:40
That's where I gave up on the video
I'll come back to finish it...probably
Listen on x2 speed
How is x2 speed a thing????? Where
I started to zone out and think about the stuff I haven't finished and took a sharp right and started doing something else. All the while he was talking in the background and I had to reel myself back in. I need to do better. #squirrel
Consistency is always some thing I dreamed I had!
Uhm holy moly I relate. Just wondering if anyone feel the same as me: I'm quite young (18), but somehow I feel like I have no time to accomplish all the things that I've sat my mind to as younger, and still set my mind to. It's like I always feel like it's too late. Does anyone relate?
100%. I talk a lot about this in other videos as well. Fight that feeling and focus on the long term and you'll be blown away at what you accomplish.
I feel the same way 100% of the time. Totally relate
Anyhoo, I did the test and have been watching some videos and it is really really nice to know there are other people out there who are like me-hahaha
I actually feel this is very of God..because for a while I've been stuggling with knowing who I am..
THIS.. 🎯 Now embrace ur God-given differences & level up.. 💥🔥💥
Thank you!! This video saved my personal project! We can't force speed and results, time is necessary! Slow is smooth and smooth is fast!
I’ve never related to anything more than the comment section I’m laughing so hard
SAME I didn't know there were so many others like me hahaha
Great advice. Especially on the “ meeting the need for newness” as an ENFP that is very good advice for me
Thanks Rosa!
Thanks.
Cool , another one of us! Have you planned out your 2017? How do you "plan for excitement"? It's a bit of an oxymoron isn't it?
That's the ENFP mistake we all make! I don't care whether you book it a month in advance, jumping out of an airplane or trekking through some sketchy place is always going to be exciting.
The obvious ones to me would be travel (non all inclusive!), one-off crazy activities (I did this supercar challenge on my 28th birthday, driving Lamborghini, etc), or finding a sport or physical activity that will always get you. Personally I haven't done this consistently, but I imagine martial arts, rock climbing, etc would do the trick.
You're very welcome John! What do you love to do, in terms of excitement? And if you don't get it, what crazy drama do you create instead?
Why I haven't listened to this 5 years ago!?
Practicing patience and changing the perspective on time. Thank you for sharing, Dan!
Could not have been more accurate, every last detail. Been searching for this solution for a while since I recognised I was ENFP. I feel I just found it!! This is the single biggest issue of my life rn.
Happy you found it and hope I won you over as a subscriber :)
Oh man... I wish I knew more ENFPs when I was younger. I'm feeling so normal listening to these!!!
Thank you man. i'm really struggling with myself for bullshitting myself all the time. This really helps.
HAHAHA.
love this, so relatable omg! ENFP SHINY SYNDROME HERE TOO
I had no idea the need for something new was bc of this!! That it's so common!! Your advice is so helpful. I'm binging it all rn in probably typical enfp fashion but honestly... I will make more effort to provide myself with new things. I drown too quickly in social media and it's self destructing
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you 🙏
You're very welcome! You're channel looks very beautiful by the way, I appreciate the English subtitles as my Portuguese...well...is non-existent.
Here to help :)
Thank you!
Awesome! You're welcome, glad I've helped. :)
So true! All of it! I wish I could have heard this a long time ago. My restlessness has a way of undoing my goals.
You’re rocking my ENFP world with your truth Dan. Your channel came to me at exactly the right time 🙌🌟 Thank you 💫
Your channel is the best, how valuable to see another ENFP success while you are stuck in your procrastination and guilt trapped, it's very inspiring and promising 😊
These days I spend my time organizing events for my hobbies: competitive archery and firearms, horses, and motorcycling,
If i were to peg my #1 success it is team building. How - IDing the goal and what my contribution is, getting folks on board to fill the other requirements, giving the team room to plan/act/adjust, and keep all motivate through the inevitable project peaks and valleys.

You're welcome! Good luck with your boldest move, I'm sure you'll rock it! :)
You're welcome, Leslie! :)
