No matter the level of rider the excitement level is still the same when landing a new trick and you never forget that feeling. I still remember the excitement I had when I first started riding, 1 of my first tricks was landing a simple ollie 180, that feeling pushes to keep on learning more. SOO awesome thanks for sharing.
Spent all last summer trying to land my heelside backroll, can't wait to get it on lock this summer. Did finally get my tumbleturn going though, nailed it for the first time on my last run of the season last year. No better feeling. Thanks for your awesome viddy's Shaun!
Any tips for somebody used to gymnastics flips vs. wakeboard flips? Been a gymnast for 15+ years so I know how to flip but wakeboarding technique is super different for me
@@jjgymnastics you're right that the flips are initiated differently for the most part but the air awareness that you have puts you way ahead of the curve. Make sure you understand the foundation of riding bc the physics become different in your understanding and then the flips become much easier. Have you watched this and put it to use yet? ua-cam.com/video/eSJPitLMRY8/v-deo.html
Yup just watched it again and reviewed some of the differences and corrections I need to make from some videos I have of my rides last summer. Now I just need winter to end so I can get back on the water!
Haha that’s awesome man! When I had my switch handle pass roll to blind on locked, I got a good air time and thought I should try kgb and landed on first try! I was really stoked like you did in this video 😂😂👍🏼👍🏼 I am sure you can do handle pass to blind then kgb.... DO IT!!
Mitch, first off, really appreciate you watching! Secondly, that's sick you did switch KGB! Thirdly, that sounds crazy to think of doing either of those tricks, the switch handle pass roll backside 180...and the switch KGB...nuts. BUT, then again, I didn't think I'd be doing the switch roll to blind...ever! Good seein your name pop up on here as always homie!
Watched about a dozen times in slow motion but my untrained eye couldn't spot the difference. Maybe mention what to look for to help us newbies that don't yet know the terminology. I finally noticed that with the Mexi you let go with one hand but that didn't match up with your other passes. I did see you explain it in the comments below, so thanks for that. Love your videos.
Matt Perry- Thanks, easy or not, I'm enjoying my ride! If you are new to wakeboarding, before trying your first flips, lay a solid foundation. Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/eSJPitLMRY8/v-deo.html - ✌️Shaun Murray

Shaun Nelson- FIRST- Great name. Really great, and you know that us Shauns got to stick together. SECOND- Standard Backroll is like a cartwheel motion but the opposite way with you body is upright. Mexi-Roll is tucked, (yes) knees bent, and your body does a flip like a front flip off a diving board but while going backward. ... I mean, help me out here, is this making any sense?
@@Shaun.Murray 💯...Perfect explanation. Next time I'm out I'm gonna throw a few and see if I can feel the difference behind my new to me Nautique 210 I was able to score from your good friend Kane Ward. 👊 Thanks bro, hope to see you at O-Dub again soon!

Little Ocean Drop- Thanks 'ppreciate the props!
You make it look so easy. For a new wake boarder that has never done a flip, how would I begin to learn to flip.
