- From the mid 80's till now. Meat Loaf has given us some remarkable performances. His legacy, for most parts already on UA-cam, needs to be shared with his fans!
This time the famous tv show from the Beacon Theater, to promote his 'Welcome to the Neighbourhood' album
As soon as Patti said "Will he offer me his mouth?" I was shocked, it sounded EXACTLY like the original 1977 recording. Thought maybe it was lip syncing until Meat looked just as surprised. "That was very good, Patti." Took the words right out of my mouth?
Anyway, this is a Patti appreciation comment as she's a fucking firecracker with crazy talent. Her onstage antics with Meat got me into his music more as it was so satisfying to see a woman really shine in these songs. I will always wonder what happened behind the scenes to get her fired. No other duet partner brings these concerts to life like she did. While I love Amy Goff's ringing almost contralto-type voice, she didn't bring the same level of entertainment and absurdity as Patti did (especially during paradise). I remember watching a video of a Paradise performance in 1993 shortly after she got hired. When Meat screamed "BITCH!!" at the end of the song, she yelled back "PUFFINS ASS!!" The previous script was for the woman to yell back "DICK!!" I like to think Patti made that decision on the spot, as Meat went "What the hell is a puffin's ass??"
Thank you Meat and Patti for 2 decades of entertainment. I may be too young to have ever seen you live, but I will never get tired of watching recordings of your concerts.
It may be 2023 but this is still some of the best music ever! Love it!
I’m glad I went 3 times to see him at concert and it’s was awesome! I met him personally and I told him I’m hard of hearing he asked me may I see your ticket I gave to Meat guy who works for him I didn’t know I was sitting in front row then we took a picture together! That’s is greatest gift for me to see him in person!

Seen 🍖 🍞 in concert 6 times ( 1999--- 2008 ) in 🇬🇧 & each show is one of the best concerts I've been to ( he's performing 🎭 & acting the 🎬 🎵 on stage ) . I've seen super 🌟 singers ( voices are brilliant) but they have no on stage chrisima or personality --- they can't perform
My biggest regret is that I never got to see him live. He’s the only one of my absolute favorites I never saw. This video is great! “Where the Rubber Meets the Road” will always be one of my absolute favorites
I first saw him in 1996. This was the tour I caught him on. my first concert ever. I was 16. will NEVER forget every second of this one.
Patti Russo, what a wonderful, elegant and sexy woman.
I have just found meat loaf concerts and really love him and his.music. so sorry to hear of his passing and thankful we have his videos and interviews. He is a great man and actor and really wonderful singer. He puts his heart and emotions into each song. Rip dear man!!
This show was the first time I ever saw meat on TV and it made me fall in love with his music

So vividly remember finding this in the TV listings magazine on Channel 4 in the UK and immediately programming the Video+ code to record it on VHS. It felt like finding hidden treasure.

It’s hard to find concerts of Meat where he sounds good. This is one!
Meat was at his greatest in the mid- late 1990's. I was lucky enough to see him in concert in 1996 and it was perfect!
@@FrancoisCoetzee, January 1990. Phenomenal. I was barely 17 & became an instant fan. Later same year, August at Feile, Tipperary. Then all 10 visits, 1993-2013. Incomparable.
2004 Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra he is fantastic. you can get it on DVD

saw this tour in daytona beach at the ocean center.great show well over 2 1/2 hours long that night

Loved him and everything he stood for since Bat out of hell. I hope the truth comes out about C-19. He hit the nail on the head when he said its no longer a disease...... its politics! It didn't kill him but is being used to "apparently" wake people up?? He would hate that they are trying to say its C-19 just to control more people! Meat never let politics control him....... right to the end. Beautiful man to the end. 😢

Released are the 1978 concert, Storytellers, Melbourne 2004, Three Bats 2007 and Guilty Pleasure 2011. THen there are VHS concerts 1982 Wembley and 1985 Bad Attitude. And some recordings for TV, like this one from 1995, the 1993 History of Meat Loaf and Night of the Proms 2001
