We will never stop screaming at the top of our lungs just how much we love Poland! We have told so many of our friends to make a point to visit there and we appreciate the hospitality so much of the Polish people! This was a quick trip, but we promised to return the both of us!
I love Poland. It's safe, beautiful, and we have amazing food here. My favorite from this festival has always been "pajda ze smalcem" (even though its literally bread with animal fat and pickle) and cinnamon buns with pistachios.
I cant say enough how much we love poland, probably the most underrated country for Americans, you rarely meet people who have visited. The first time we had pajda ze smalcem was in krakow and we were nervous because the women spoke very little English just kept saying lard spread which we had never heard of but we LOVED IT. I was excited to share it with my friend this trip. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

I am so happy you like it, if I will be in Gdańsk, I need to visit Józef K. I love such ambient. Our tatar is made from beaf meat... oh we love dill, chive, green onion, and parsley, especially fresh, available spring, summer. Our potato pancakes are made from raw potatoes grated on small holes, with onion, egg, a spoon of flour, then fried on a sunflower oil. I am hungry now. Żabka is not cheap... if you want cheap and good market, try Biedronka next time! Regards!🤗

@@HeresGoodTravel You should see Kraków, and Wrocław, which are more on the south. From Kraków you can go to Wieliczka, a unique salt mine, and by train to Zakopane, capital of Highlands in Tatra Mountains. Each region of Poland has its beauty, and culture, what you can notice also in cuisine.
After watching the whole film, which I really liked, I have a few tips; when you ate the cake with ,, blueberries'' the translator translated it as with blueberries, but in Poland the word berries refers to forest berries and what you had were American blueberries, they taste a bit different and are smaller but the price is higher. Potato pancakes taste best when they are hot, they are not so cold. In Gansk you had to see the altar in the church of St. Bridget made entirely of amber, probably the only one in the world - I recommend it.

This red stuff with oscypek is actually cranberries :) In Polish "żurawina". Next time in Mandu you should try traditional pierogi with cabbage, mushrooms and onions ;-)
Gdańsk, together with Gdynia and Sopot, form the Tricity. This is an agglomeration. Each of these cities is different. It's a pity you didn't visit the entire Tricity. Gdynia is one of the youngest Polish cities, Gdynia was founded in the 1920s. This is a port city. Sopot is a typical seaside resort. Each region of Poland has its own regional cuisine. Pyra means potato in the dialect of Greater Poland. The capital of Greater Poland is Poznań. People from the rest of Poland call Greater Poland people pyra, and the region itself Pyrland. You ate the iconic Poznań dish 'Pyra z gzikiem - potato with gzik'. 🙂This region is associated with Poznań-style duck served with steamed yeast dumpling, red cabbage and czarnina (duck blood soup with dried fruit and pasta).

The cakes are ok, but, try the bigos hunter's or old Polish, cabbage rolls, possibly fresh fish from Masuria, e.g. smoked vendace, I won't mention the smelt because it's a delicacy for the chosen ones?.. it's a small fish that smells like fresh cucumber.. ps. basically like all of you who come to us ;)

Dill - we just like it :), but personally I don't add it to everything. :) I prefer potato pancakes that are much thinner, they look a bit like tortillas and are crunchy (necessarily with a lot of marjoram). I recommend the roll with marinated herring - they add romaine lettuce, peppers, onion, sliced hard-boiled egg and sauce of your choice (garlic is the best IMHO). It may sound strange, but I fell in love with it from the first bite.

I must say that you picked Kinda expensive place to eat. A lot of things at jarmark dominikański are so overplaced. Few blocks away you could proably eat same for half amount of money. Anyway, glad you enjoy. Just wanted to mention that Poland may be cheap if you search enough :)
We knew the market would be a little more expensive and on the water at the hotels is definitely overpriced. We had been to Gdansk before and eaten a bit more low key, we have a few other Gdansk videos if you want to check them out. I’d love to know your favorite spots to eat! scypek with cranberries - you had doubts about cranberries, but it was cranberries, maybe it tasted different to you than in winter, but everyone has their own way of making it, some make it as jam or more tart or sweet jam. Poles made a lot of fruit preserves, now maybe it has changed. They made the most preserves during martial law in the 80s when there was almost nothing in the shops and such items as butter, flour, meat, groats were rationed. You got so-called food coupons which were insufficient (other communist countries for our rebellion against communism, they wanted to starve us, but they did not know that Poles can cope in difficult circumstances). These fruit preserves were mainly about vitamin C, that is why Poles became masters in fruit and vegetable preserves. Everyone in the basement had a huge supply of juices, jams, plum preserves, pear compotes, apples and mushroom pickles, cucumbers and jars of sauerkraut - everything gave vitamins because at that time there were no citrus fruits in the shops. Maybe we were healthier then because we did not eat so much fat and meat. (the monthly allocation for one person was 1 or 2 cubes of butter 200 grams)

It was pineapple flavored Pepsi, strange combo😂. When we visit places we always hit the grocery stores and grab a bunch of snacks and drinks we don’t have in the US. In Poland they have Extra Toasted peanuts we are obsessed with!

I hate food festivals in Poland with a passion, usually instead of showing the best from our amazing cuisine, they want to sell you overpriced garbage for a quick $ :/
That’s why we made sure to share some local restaurants as well. Things were definitely prices more than usual but the market was a good size and it was beautiful weather. We had a great time.
Yeah, we understand that we’re paying for convenience and experience, but we were surprised that the quality of food here was actually pretty good but the prices were just pretty high. Regardless Poland in the summer is a magical place and we can’t wait to go back.

You cannot consume untested meat in Europe. This is the law. All meat may have parasites and be a carrier of diseases. Therefore, the meat is tested before being sold. This is done by specialized veterinarians. f you hunt, you should examine the meat for your own safety.

Also in Poland you can eat game in a restaurant - no restaurant will risk losing its license and being closed. And inspections are frequent - they check the purity and legality of food products

That fat is a craft lard or bacon spread sometimes they add herbs and fried onion.

Thanks the summer market only has one week left so we wanted to share it with all the people who intend on visits so that they can use some of our recommendations when they go to Gdansk. It was pineapple flavored Pepsi, strange combo😂. When we visit places we always hit the grocery stores and grab a bunch of snacks and drinks we don’t have in the US. In Poland they have Extra Toasted peanuts we are obsessed with!

I hate food festivals in Poland with a passion, usually instead of showing the best from our amazing cuisine, they want to sell you overpriced garbage for a quick $ :/
That’s why we made sure to share some local restaurants as well. Things were definitely prices more than usual but the market was a good size and it was beautiful weather. We had a great time.
TBH those food fairs are a scam , like everywhere
Yeah, we understand that we’re paying for convenience and experience, but we were surprised that the quality of food here was actually pretty good but the prices were just pretty high. Regardless Poland in the summer is a magical place and we can’t wait to go back.
Kobieto ty to wszystko wcisnęłaś w ciągu jednego dnia , ale masz apetyt gdzie to zmieściłaś .
😂chcielibyśmy! odwiedziliśmy Gdańsk na cztery dni, więc tak naprawdę nakręciliśmy to w ciągu kilku dni. Widzimy innych UA-camrów, którzy wydają się jeść tak dużo, że zastanawiamy się, czy oni robią to samo, ale czasami nagrywamy filmy tego samego dnia, a potem po prostu śpimy przez dwa dni z rzędu.❤️🇵🇱

You cannot consume untested meat in Europe. This is the law. All meat may have parasites and be a carrier of diseases. Therefore, the meat is tested before being sold. This is done by specialized veterinarians. f you hunt, you should examine the meat for your own safety.
The meat for human consumption is tested for parasites....and any diseases.
It was delicious, I'm pretty certain that restaurant wasn't serving us pierogis with parasites!

Also in Poland you can eat game in a restaurant - no restaurant will risk losing its license and being closed. And inspections are frequent - they check the purity and legality of food products

Chodziło raczej o kolejność filmów, a niekoniecznie o kolejność ich tworzenia 😂, ale zawsze jesteśmy gotowi na małe rybne ciastko!
