Solo i P.Floyd possono sfidare i GENESIS..🙏🙋
This specific version of Musical box is the best I have come across, filmed in a T.V. studio without an audience. Very special
I just LOVE how intense Gabriel gets from 7:40 to the end. Creepy and sad and wonderful!
Phil on drums and Peter on vox… it’s just magic.
Peter becomes what he sings...
no click track. No fake backing instruments. No chicks in short skirts. Just five guys doing it for real and blowing the listener's mind. Priceless.
👍
Agree :-)
redhouseguitar, agree !!
Phil Collins is the click track
I hate this comment! I bet if you went to Taco Bell, you’d criticize the 7-layer burrito just to praise the gordito or chalupa. The truth is that Everything at Taco Bell is equally delicious.
This may be the best video on UA-cam. Magic.
Don't count on it. Maybe in the top 1,466,587.
Real man play the flute and Peter absolutely nailed it. What an awesome musician
It is insane how much I love Peter Gabriel!
Totally agree
Just wow at those vocal harmonies between Peter and Phil, both godly vocalists.
I hadn't listened to Genesis since middle school, it's been five years now coming back it still leaves me in awe. Steve Hackett still has my spirit through his playing.
Marisa Chavarria Truth...
La première fois que j'ai entendu l'album Nursery Crime, j'avais 16 ans en 1983. J' ai eu une révélation musicale totale. Une grande œuvre!
Just one of the best tracks ever written. 👏👏
It's a mess
No words I can write can describe this masterpiece and give it justice. ...And how old were they when they performed this? Yup. Holy you know what. Amazing. Steve Hackett IS KEEPING THESE WONDERFUL songs ALIVE. Long Live Genesis and all its members. Thanks to STEVE HACKETT for keeping it LIVE and ALIVE.
What a fantastic video. This, to me, is the original and best Genesis line up. Gabriel was such an amazing front man with a truly original voice. No one can sing their early music like PG.
Whoever posted this thank you so much. 👍😁😁😁😁
❤️
the best version of this band
If I could get this group back together for just 10 minutes to play this song one more time, I would die a happy woman.
Back before his current ill health, Phil sat in with a Genesis tribute act and by his own admission struggled with this song, forgetting how tricky and high-energy it is.
So would I but I am a mam

Are you bragging or complaining
do everybody knows that this magic perfection won't happen again? yes? so, listen in silence.
So much talent, Steve Hackett is brilliant on this masterpiece.
I am straight but I must say that both Peter and Phil look very handsome here. Music is fantastic.
Peter looks effeminate here. If you didn't know anything about him you would guess he's gay (which he is not).
Michael B peter and phil look hideous, tony looks the best to me
I am gay but I must say that none of you appeal to me at all
Phil looks like a gnome or like an elf if you prefer . He always did.
@@5micky2 As a biological straight woman, I don't find him effeminate at all. His gestures, his demeanour, his countenance, the way he moves are definitely so manly.
What a song and what a performance... 'Play me this wonderful song, here it comes again'
Genesis at their PUREST !!!!!!!!
Their music accross the years. They look like connected always. Always Peter Gabriel amaze the public all over the world . Music stay an therapy for the World with our actuallity. Phil Collins is the same and his son is a good player, forever !
Undoubtedly the perfect frontman and one of Britains's musical geniuses, Peter Gabriel used to live just off Bath (don't know if he is still living there), where my grandmother lived. In the seventies when he was still playing with Genesis he was well known for being very religious and going to church every Sunday. You could approach him quite easily. 'The beautiful 'Solisbury Hill' from his first solo album was inspired by a little hill near Bath called 'Solisbury'
Did you know Peter personally at that time he lived in Bath?
My family lived nearby for years! Never saw Gabriel but his house and studio ....
Salisbury
@@eddajokie4115 no Solsbury..completely different place.... been up there many times.
@@fabulousnewt770 ops...sorry, I am Italian and I visited England some years ago, I surely made a bit of confusion with the names of the places
One of the defining moments of my life, a warm and humid summer night, road trip, the first time I heard Musical Box...
Nothing remained the same...
This was the line up. 5 of the greatest musicians ever assembled.
this is the most beautiful thing i have ever witnessed...
Genesis Peter Gabriel, lead voice , percussion, Phil Collins drums, Steve Hacket guitars, Michael Rutherford bass, Tony Banks organ and mellotron, and their inseparable stage and sound man great years the 70's the beginning of a new era in music such a talented bunch of guys who changed history always in our minds a great example for the new musicians Long Live Genesis
I bought me first Genesis album, "Genesis Live", at a Safeway in Southern California, 42 years ago. I was 16. Since buying it on vinyl, I have also had it on cassette, CD, and have downloaded it. I have never tired of listening to it. Prog is the musicians music.
The ending gets me every time!
I was 6 years old when this was recorded.......but it doesn't mean I was too young to admire this twentieth century phenomenon. There is nothing to compare to the beauty and complexity of Gabriel's Genesis. Pure Magic........
This song is awesome! Peter Gabriel, I love you! Your music means so much to me, P.G. forever!
The best line up of Genesis. It's videos like this that give me a reason to carry on. Those younger than me, just revel in the musicianship and the creativity, you'll not see it's like in your lifetime.
