    I trained with a guy who ran 1:49 and 3:38 for the 1500. We did something similar to the sample week except I was more of a 400m runner so dropped the Friday run and ran 10 x100 on Monday evening instead of the recovery run. We did 1k type reps on Tuesdays and 150m hills on Thursday’s. He would do 400m reps Saturday’s whereas I would do 150s or 200s.

    well i can tell you this my dad ran in 12th grade a time of 1:54 and his time in grade 10 year was 2:04... my best time was 2:14 in grade 9, but it all changed when i moved to USA where theres much harsher weather conditions and i didnt train but im in 10th now and im now on 2:26 and going down so all i can say is what helped me go from a 2:29 in 9th grade to a 2:14 was hard, i practised 2 times a day with distance in the morning and speed workout in the afternoon.

    I'm a 53.4 400m athlete and a 2:02.6 800m. I know my 800m should be faster but I don't quite know where I'm going wrong. My splits for 800m are 59.5;63.1 if that helps with giving advice.

      Hey its all about what you want to hit, if you want to go under 2:00 for the 800m you have to be coming in at 58-59 seconds and the second lap just finish at 60 or less

    • @camdenclean4906
      @camdenclean4906 9 років тому

      +TkoBallerx 200 repeats with shorter rest time. I'm talking 10 to 15 seconds top. at 1 set if 5 or 6 85 to 90%

    To what extent should weight, strength and height be dependent on the type of runner you are? I am a 17 year old 155lb (all muscle tho lol) 5'8 athlete. Am I more 800, distant, or sprinter oriented or this even factor? Thanks!

    "steady state, tempo, VO2 runs? VO2 max runs are well above tempo, at 90-95% Tempos are not in any way run at the pace of VO2 max runs. Maybe just semantics with so many coaches using different nomenclature.
