The Puget Sound in Washington State has a huge untapped resource - flounder! These abundant fish are easy to catch, making them the perfect fish to introduce youngsters to fishing. Flounder come in a variety of species; sand dabs, rock sole, and starry flounder. They always had a ton of bumps and worms when I lived there. Are they ok on mercury in the sound these days? We always throw bottom fish back in the sound.
