- The Puget Sound in Washington State has a huge untapped resource - flounder! These abundant fish are easy to catch, making them the perfect fish to introduce youngsters to fishing. Flounder come in a variety of species; sand dabs, rock sole, and starry flounder. They always had a ton of bumps and worms when I lived there. Are they ok on mercury in the sound these days? We always throw bottom fish back in the sound.
can you use barberd hooks or barbless hookes for those flat fish
