As a Numa X Piano GT owner, I loved how it's an audio interface, fully fledged controller with aftertouch, expression pedal assignable inputs, and triple pedal support. It have fantastic piano touch, irrelevant here though, and have decent on board sounds. For the price, it's amazing. What's missing is the organ drawbar this one has. But maybe because of the price, there's some janks you may have to deal with: 1.the screen will deteriorate, have some weird strips appear after turned on for a few hours. 2.the midi signal of the sustain pedal will send to usb midi out even when the midi is turned off (which can be a nice bug when I want to sustain other midi device with the same pedal ) 3.recording with the 4 input are unable to separate from on board sound; inconvenient for recording simple multitracks. Makes these 4 input less useful than it could. 4.somehow the sample rate is fixed to 48kHz, can be problematic in 41kHz projects. Maybe I'm the only one, but bear this in mind when you purchase a Numa
I haven’t had any issues so far with mine. My only gripe with it is the flimsy on/off button which is really cheap and doesn’t work sometimes on the first try.
Something I love about my Numa Compact 2 (the non-X) is that while it is a full-range keyboard with good piano sounds, it's also really lightweight since it doesn't have weighted keys. Most full piano keyboards will also have weighted keys for the piano people, which makes them harder to transport. As far as I can tell, the Numa Compact, X or non-X, the best combination of sound, range, portability, AND affordability. Perfect for someone like me who doesn't own a car and just carries the keyboard walking and commuting.
This video is making me glad I didn't spend double or triple on a Nord Electro 6D or the Yamaha YC 73! The piano, Rhodes and organ sounds are very comparable as far as I can tell. Now if I could only try one in person. In SoCal, GC and SamAsh are dismal disappointments these days!
Anyone who drops close to *Six Thousand* on a keyboard, will undoubtedly defend it till the bitter end. Conversely, anyone who finds a good deal for a little over $500 won't be so defensive, and will undoubtedly have as much joy over the music created, as the money saved. 🤗
i use one of the older models (compact 2x) as a main midi board with my computer, its cool that it acts as its own interface. speakers very handy, great action. the piano sounds on this one seem a little better but not crazy improved. same with the organ. al the other sounds were already good. nice playing as well jack.
Always adjust the velocity curve for your playstyle before starting. Hitting that top velocity sample layer so much is very unrealistic to a real piano.
Sounds really good and fatar keys are great buy why has another keyboard been ruined by a stupid tiny screen! Look at the space on either side just wasted. Getting really tired of this
I have the 2X bought ram Andertons. It has simply cut-out at gigs twice, so 9s now relegated as a midi controller in my studio. It simply isn’t reliable enough. This fault has been highlighted further on the Facebook user page.. disappointing

Love it when Jack just shreads a jazzy gospel organ with rotaries

This is absolutely NOT even close to the nord stage or the YC series, sorry its just not.
@ I agree on second listening. The default reverb is strange.

This thing is awesome. The sounds are very impressive
Great demo
Really cool product for being so affordable...wow!
Wow what a value! They’re gonna sell a lot of these

Thank God it does not have fully weighted keys (which I need), I bought the Kawai ES520 just two days ago! This looks and sounds great though

A considered purchasing one, but I wanted the waited keys. That is the only reason I didn't buy it. It is an excellent keyboard for that price.
wow first few keys and it sounds fantastic. how much???
I need a fill shootout between this and the Nord stage 4 like it isn't five times the price!
That's it. I want one.
I would take this over a CK88 any day. A 61+key version with all the same features would be nice, even with synth-style keys.
Is it similar action wise to an Electro 6d ??
Is there much difference between the X SE and the 2x? I can't tell very well from the pictures I see of them.
I have the same question 🙂
It looks exactly like an 2X, so probably the internals (software and sounds?) are new?
Those are good strings. Amazon has several different models. What are the differences?
Andertons is a shop, and Bezos is rich enough
one question : why did they put a 1 inch screen on a $1299 keyboard ? geeez....
I'ts actually half the price.
Great question
It’s half that price, and if it was any larger it wouldn’t be compact.
How many inches per dollar would match your value expectations?
Numa. Numa. Yay.
I hate myself, too.
What would you say this Numa Compact compared to the new Roland D-series?
same question for me how does the keybed of the new juno- D8 compair to the studio logic numaCompact (i have the NC2X)
I have the Numa Compact 2x and this version seems like it could have been a simple firmware update.
Piano sounds better than my ck
