Holy cow I wish everyone would do a dew cut in their videos! The water flying made it easier to see how it was cutting
Thank you James for another great review video, really good information and demonstration 👍
Thank you Nev, I really appreciate it 🤩
Certainly reassured that M18 fuel is a strong starting point for a lawn care business. Thank you
Thanks for the upload mate… I love Milwaukee… ❤
No problem, thank you Adam 👍🏼
So I really need that! Great video James!
I was using it today, it's really well weighted. Loads of power too.
It has a great weight and balance 👍🏼 looking forward to your video Robbie 🤩
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
Useful comment. I'm a small 5'2" woman with a neglected jungle to tackle and don't know which brush cutter to buy. This machine looks worth considering
What a beast 👍🏻 looks great. I think I need to get one 😁
I have the brush cutter attachment but this thing is a vast improvement with the harness though I don't think I'd use the string trimmer as I have that attachment, too!
Nice One James I am impressed by that Milwaukee😃 Thanks again
Thank you Darran 👍🏼
Nice looking brush cutter.
Another impressive tool.
Thanks James and the MN team. I am wondering if you are able to do a video with the echo 56v platforms tools. Strimmers, blowers, etc... ? 👍
We have a video coming out next week where we use the Echo top handle 👍🏼 hopefully Echo will get more involved with us going forward 😎
I recently bought the Milwaukee harness to use with my AEG 58V Brushcutter as AEG just uses the same Ryobi strap as all these brands still come out of Techtronic Industries, China, but although AEG & Ryobi share some designs, with AEG being made for trade & Ryobi for home use, the Milwaukee designs are notably different in a number of ways, although some design ideas have still been carried across to the other brands.
You need to get Oregon to send you a few of their mulching blades to test on different brushcutters in some really thick brambles... Now that would definitely put them all to the test!
P.s I've got the Oregon mulching blade and it's hands down one of the best things I've purchased 👍🏾
Got myself one of the Oregon blades. They're a game changer compared to flat blades in thick brush.
Is the power output the same as the Fuel Quik-Lok trimmer? I used that one all last year and it's a favorite, but it would definitely heat up!
Great video
Thanks H 👍🏼
One thing I have found using battery strimmers, (especially the ego) is it always wants to ramp up the speed when it comes across the slight bit of resistance yet in reality you want the resistance to help control your cutting which you can do very easily with a petrol one, I definitely think the battery ones are more powerful but also more aggressive
That's why you run it on turtle, and don't hold the throttle at full tilt. You can get more than double the battery efficiency that way, it just takes more skill.
TIM from Canada yes I would like this… I have already got the Milwaukee M1 fuel QUICK LOK System with string cutter only thing I am disappointed in the attachments in Canada cost so much?.. there are some attachments that are more expensive than the whole unit
Does the motor cutout after hard job like the quiklok ??
Hey! Thanks for the review, it's very useful. I have been using the M18 FOPHLTKIT line trimmer for 3 years. I had a lot of problems with the battery heating up with this device. I would really like to know how you feel, if you take off the battery pack and touch the battery pads with your palm after a long use? Or maybe you could also measure the temperature? thx
I have the same tool and the same problem. I solved the battery melting problem with a few layers of electrical tape where the end of the battery contacts the motor unit. That prevents the battery from shaking and overheating. The other problem is the overheating of the motor, and there are no quick fixes for that. High speed with trimmer is useless and low speed it has to be used intermittently or it will overheat and stop after about 1/2 of a 12Ah battery. However, I am very pleased with all the other attachments. Whish these test videos on UA-cam of this new brush cutter would do a solid full test of overheating by just going through a full 12Ah battery with string trimmer on in heavy grass and not letting the trigger go.
I am pretty sure you installed the trimmer head upside down in the video .
Never the less I love this m lok system I have the headger pole saw edger and trimmer .
Never thought I would give up the gas for small yard work
Oh dear! You need to go back & watch that again. The head can only go on one way.
It looks very similar to the quik-lok string trimmer I'm surprised they didn't make this quik lok as well
You can get the brush cutter attachement for the multi head already
Hey can you review the 3/8 In Rachet from milwuake
Thank you
Great video Can you tell me if the trimmer has an auto/bump feed for the filament wire?
Yes it does
Ta for the video James.. do They do the harness in my size.. XM .. ?
Good point Mick I didn’t check to see the smallest/largest sizing of the harness. But it will fit size SS (Super S3xy) no problem 👍🏼😂
@@MachineryNation bahahaha
Extra Midget??
By the way James a certain bald headed, pirate looking, puppy training, Conker Bashing wannabe small engine mechanic was making fun of my "Tested by Machinery Nation" earlier today........ a simple ban for him will be sufficient sir.... thank you. 🤣🤣
how long does it operate with a battery?
after a few minutes of mowing it keeps turning off why?
10インチの円盤カッター使えますか?
I'm from Germany and would like to buy this device. There is hardly any information about it in German. Can anyone tell me how long the 8ah battery lasts, with normal use like in the video?
I'm wandering how long did the battery last
I think after what I used it for I had used 2 bars of the 8ah battery which would of probably been about 30mins of use. So I would say about an hour on each battery 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation I just received the 12ah batteries and they’re beasts! My mom’s house was so bad I used a whole pack just edging her concrete though😂
Well done lads at least ye try them out like normal people ud still have a petrol in the van do its the charging that still puts me off ud need 10 batteries the car chargers you have around every where should be a charging point for contractors to just pull up the van and charge your gear
If I was a young chap like yourself, I'd be investing in this new fangled tech. Being an old fart, and thinking about retirement, I'll stick with my petrol equipment, they'll probably last longer than me! 😂
Hahaha, I will certainly take that a compliment, cheers Buddy 👍🏼
@MachineryNation .update, I've actually just ordered this machine! Only need it for large areas of grass , for thick tough crap, I'll just use my Husqvarna 535LK!
I never knew about the bike handle bars
Got I’ll attachments Minus the power broom. That’s 395 cnd 😅
Batrery is ok for my 1/4 acre lots .
But for the farm not a chance over the gas unfortunately
I need more run time and battery’s are not cheap on any platform .
Still pleased with the quick lok hedger .pole saw and edger . The line trimmer takes up all the battery’s
The bike handle should be a standard in all trimmers I hate the first powerhead they made it twists ones back all wrong. A bike handle quick lock is the most superior trimmer design . I could trim a field without getting sore . Or use the power sweeper.
you should compare it to other brushcutters like the ego etc
It looks very nice and does most things, but there's something to be said for annoying the natives with a screaming two stroke...!
And it's a Milwaukee...so it will be ....expensive... ?
to Bad its not 36V
Sounds underpowered
Not at all.. plenty of power in her 👍🏼
Le blade, she is dull; not sold on this waste of money.
