This is a review of the Milwaukee M18 Quik-Lok brush cutter attachment for their M18 Brushless power head. I used this brush cutting for a day, and really like it so far. It whips through everything I need it to cut. No problem with thick black berries up to 3/4 inch thick. However, many problems with the giant guard catching on all the vines. The cutter even whips thru small branches. No problem. Not so great on loose tall grass. I blasted thru a 12 ah battery in about 30 minutes. Which is a long time to hold that tool up. You will be grateful for the break.

Just got one. Does fine with thick weeds and up to ~1/2" saplings. Makes for a nice lightweight intermediary between the line trimmer head and my beast of a gas-powered brush saw.
Looks pretty good and the battery lasts pretty well. Thank you for showing this to us, Fernbark. Stay safe and stay cool
This is something I will be using a lot up here.
Just ordered the Milwaukee M18 brushcutter for larger areas of grass . For the tough stuff, I will continue using my Husqvarna 535LK and a mulching blade or clearing saw, which work surprisingly well, considering it's only 2.2hp!
Great video, excellent demonstration. Blackberry briers are pretty tough. 👍. The very best brush cutter video, of all time!! Unless you count Smitty's scythe video of a few years ago.
It works pretty good. thanks for watching Tracy!
Gotta get one of those for clearing the trail. Thanks for the video.
You have to get your own, this one is mine.
Nice one sir good job
New supporter sir from manila philippines

Your video content makes my eyes shine, I believe the quality of your subsequent videos will be even better, the display of the tools in your video content is always inspiring, you will explain and use it in great detail, I want to work with you, I have a lawn mower product here, I hope you are interested in testing it, of course you will get this product for free, you just need to explain and use it, I hope you will be interested, of course you can say the commission price you want, thank you, looking forward to your reply!
Looks good. Let's hope they will also just sell the cutter itself, so we can put in on the string trimmer attachment😅
You can already find it (not Milwaukee brand) at a very very popular online retailer.
The blade looks like it would be handy in a fence line. I hope no flowers were harmed😊
The flowers....there was some collateral damage.
@@FernbarkFrist I thought I saw some color besides green 😅
You're killing me! You had the string trimmer head right next to the brush cutter and you didn't take the string trimmer head off to compare! Any chance you can post a follow up video to confirm or deny?
They are the same. I have been using the string trimmer with a kit off Amazon for a year before Milwaukee made their own. The Milwaukee is better because it fits better and isn't a pain to change the blade, but for the price.....dunno.
please show us how to put it together from the box
My blade won't move and I'm stuck
At 30 mins you had to replace a 12 amp battery? Was it fully charged? That doesn’t see right
I am pretty sure it was fully charged. I don't think I would have started with a partial charged battery. The blade is a lot heavier than string and there is a lot of starts and stops. Also, cutting thru brush uses more power than cutting grass. But if you only have one battery, this could be a problem.
Do you think I could buy the blade and convert my string trimmer to a brush cutter?🤔
Yes
Pretty slick. I wonder if that guard can come off for when I mow the blackberry bushes 🤨🤔
If it was installed with 4 screws it might be removed by reversing that operation.
It's the same shaft and head assembly but the guard is different... for some reason, perhaps cost.
@@ALAPINO haha that’s what I was thinking 😜
@@truckermre Where I am the bush cutter is $150 MSRP, I'm going to guess the replacement blade and hub is going to be $50.
Red tax is really going to sting on their lawn care stuff.
Yes, I had already bought a kit to replace the hub. I think that was $25 a couple years ago. The blades are another $26-50 depending on which one you get.
The guard is probably different so that they can say it is a totally different item from the trimmer, lol. It is a little bigger, perhaps people were complaining the other was too small.
How do you get something that's not even out yet
If you click the link in the description, you can order it.
hi can you test a worx hydroshot ultra? thanks
If they sent me one I probably would. I don't have any Worx tools, so I am not inclined to buy one just for the review though.
I'm gonna be a safety nut anyway. Milwaukee fucked up. If there is a metal blade on it there should be a metal shroud.
