I’ve used the same blade and the older non carbide Forrester blade on my old 58volt Echo trimmer with no problems. I was looking at the Milwaukee 18volt trimmer but seeing the trouble it has with the Forrester blade, and no quick lock for the more powerful one no thanks. I’ll keep looking for a suitable replacement for the aging Echo.
They don't offer it in a Quik Lok version yet, which has the brush blade setup you can switch out to this one. I'm predicting they'll launch one in October, but who knows...
I use my old 80 tooth carbide blades that don't cut good enough anymore in my miter or table saw. It does take a powerful trimmer to handle them though and they will kick back and take your leg off so you gotta be careful. You kinda gotta have a death wish to use em so I don't recommend it for weekend warriors.
Would you add a chainsaw brush blade to your trimmer? Would you rather have a bicycle style handle brush trimmer instead?

I'll know more tomorrow. Hoping to see some new product announcements.
The Amazon link goes to the wrong model blade that's not carbide.
Thanks for letting me know. I don't see that exact blade on Amazon, but will post another link.

Sounds like you need the U-handle trimmer to run something like that.
