Great job on the video! St. Elmo was a coming of age movie in the 1980s that to this day, l can transport myself to that time and l become a college student again. Thanks for hunting down the homes and buildings. Happy Holidays!
Really good video. This makes me wanna see the film. I has a severe illness 13 years ago. I was hit by a car. I suffered severe head trauma. I was hospitalized for 11 weeks.
Thanks so much this is my favorite movie all time , it resonates with me and friends. Great job gathering information. I visited the Tombs in Dc last year in July.
I have just realized now that I lived in Wash DC and studied at GWU back in early90’s without knowing this movie was filmed this area. I did watch the movie before moving there but never noticed it was this place of the US I was going to move to from Japan. Thank you for the video. So many places reminds me of the memories of those days😊
Great video. One of my fav movies from the 80s. I truly enjoyed your tour of the movie locations. Interesting about Len Bias…his mother visited my high school after his passing when I was a senior. Hadn’t heard his name in decades.
That was filmed in Tahoe. I think I give the address in the video but it's down a private drive and is not accessible on Google Street View. My best guess is it was loaned out by a studio executive (or was owned by someone on the production team).
The actual inside and outside part was filmed on the studio in Burbank but it burned in 1995, you can visit the bar the tombs in dc that inspired the bar St Elmo’s
I was modeling wish fish on a boat with a girl suddenly she starts saying Bruce Willis cheats and is no good who knows I landed up at a bar and dropped off the girl....no gossip with modeling I guess Bruce Willis showed up at the bar and the girl was worth less

Oh wow, I literally had just found that out before recording this segment. I wasn’t sure whether or not to include since it was so off subject.
Budget 10 million. Box office 38 million. It did ok. Thanks for your leg work.
I guess technically it was a hit but was definitely not on par with other like comedies of its time period. Parr...no pun intended!
Great movie and great video always seems different in reality
@@amandeepv thanks!
I love that period of America being from the UK “It’s morning in America” and that can do spirit.
One of my favorite movies ❤
You are the perfect woman
Awesome work sir. This film has a very nostalgic place with me too. Side note, the canal is expected to be drained into 2025 due to restorations.
Oh, cool, thanks for the canal update! I take it a lot of folks have found this video because of the new Andrew McCarthy documentary.
@@RetroPopPlanet watched it yesterday very moving as it evoked a superior of time when I was in my early teens
Thank you for posting. Where is the location of the cabin in the mountains?
