I loved this movie!! I never knew the actress was dating Bruce Springsteen at that time! So great that the owner of the home was so friendly and cool. What a fun vlog!!!
Thanks! I had a fun day making it
@@DazewithJordantheLionI happen to know Joyce Hyser, she is awesome and fun
@@jasonbertalotto2355 oh really and she dated Bruce during the movie, cool
This was one of my childhood favssss. Such a unique concept for a movie idea. the scenery❤️
excellent.. i was 11 when this came out and remember watching it on HBO a thousand times. Surprised the brother/Buddy's career didnt take off after this , he was pretty hillarious.
I heard it was the most requested movie for HBO. Wonder why haha 🎉
Buddy will always be my favorite lol so funny
He was 15 during the filming of that! Pretty great way to portray Buddy for a 15 year old
I appreciate all of the hard work that went into this vlog. I absolutely love production facts for movies. I remember renting this movie for the VCR as a kid.
I did the same . Great memories back then. I was 12 when this came out. Still listen to Lindsey Buckingham's (trouble) song to this day and it brings me back..80s kid at heart.
Meeting the home owner and hearing his story was awesome. Could you imagine seeing your house in a movie? How cool is that
Omg! One of my favorite movies! It was way ahead of it's time. Thank you!
Joyce had the best headlights in the 80’s!! Amazing movie!! Absolute classic!!
I watched this movie a bunch growing up , thank you the vlog is great
I remember seeing this movie in high school, thanks for another great video Jordan, everything you do is so well done, you do such a wonderful job with everything. Thank you for all you do.
I love that movie! Definitely ahead of its time. I was finally able to see it in the 90's I was a teen then. It was a well made movie great actress and very funny!
Same age as you, Jordan. I remember this was on HBO ALLLLLLLLL the time. I remember it as pretty raunchy to my sheltered eyes and ears! 😂 Still love it.
The most underated movie of the 80s. This movie does not get the credit it deserved. A true appropriate: 'Twelfth Night' rendition. Even back in the 90s this movie did not get much air time. Hats off to the home owner. He rocked!
28:28 the Sun Tribune building is actually part of the Warner Bros backlot. Those scenes are looking south from the New York street set. When the biker gal turns the corner, you see the Sun Tribune building again behind her because of the limited angles. The Caniff Printing sign on the building means this was filmed when the "V" tv series was being shot in 1984. Terri's car has a black grill because it's not the same one used in Arizona which was all white. In the very last shot, you can see the reflected words ROY SCHEIDER and BLUE THUNDER -- another Columbia Pictures film. Finding movie and television locations is one of my hobbies.
Appreciate all the hard work investigating these locations for this 80's classic! Woman of the 80's were so gorgeous.
One of my favorite ‘80’s movies!! Jordan, you are awesome!
Thanks Leann
I had completly forgot about this movie! It was one of my faves! Thanks for sharing🤩🐕
You are so thorough and I appreciate all you do to bring so many amazing Vlogs. I watch a few every night, makes my day!!!
This is awesome. I just visited the house. I didn’t realize I lived so close to the house. Thanks for all your videos
This movie definitely is a classic! Thank you Jordan for another great vlog!
I had forgotten all about this movie. Thanks for the memories.
Nice work on finding the locations and giving us all of the detail. Thanks!!
This was such a cute movie! Once again, great presentation, lots of detail and excellent footage of location sites. You nailed this, Jordan!!!
Thank you so much for this. This is my all time favorite movie!!!
Wow amazing info and details about the movie and house!! That is a beautiful kept house too.
Such an amazing movie.....i love so much....thanx for sharing!!!
This is one of my favorite movies. I watch this one and valley girl at least once a week. So happy you did this vlog. I’ve always wondered where it was filmed! Love love love it 💕
William Zabka said people talk to him about Karate Kid, but they quote lines from Just One of Guys. He said he loves that
Jordan, sometimes I forget to tell you how much I appreciate you and all your efforts and talent. You are such a Blessing! Love you! E
Thank you so much for this Jordan!! This is my favorite movie! You made it so easy for me to go look for these places!!!
Had to learn the hard way.
From now on, things are going my way.
I still to this day Love this movie it's great!! I watched it over and over when I was younger! Thank you for this vlog!!
Jordan, you have outdone yourself once again with these Az. vlogs! As a Zonie native, CalZoni current :) I have always wondered what they filmed in front of this house and never knew back in the 80's, cuz you couldn't google it. :) My parents had friends that lived nearby and I would always gush at how beautiful this neighborhood was and still is today. It's like the Hancock Park of LA, only it's in Phoenix. So glad you had a chance to meet the owner and love that this house hasn't changed a bit. I can't wait to share this with the AZ Memories FB page. They loved Ponderosa & tour of downtown Phx! Thank you so much!
I had never heard of this movie, and lived in Phoenix area while it was filming! Thank you so much Jordan, you do a fantastic job👏
Loved this movie! Thanks for going to all these places to make a wonderful video and the behind scenes info.
One of my favorite 80's! Thank you!!!
Great vlog as always Jordan love watching your channel. And always look forward to seeing your next vlog.
Thank you Jordan, your vlogs are full of information as always.
Wow, that's a lot of hard work you put in for this one! It turned out great. Thank you, Jordan!
WOW! I remember this movie. You find the most interesting things to vlog. Thanks Jordan.
One of my favorite films of the 80s. Terry Griffith’s fashion alone was a statement both as a girl and boy. Completely iconic. Thank you for this video, I’m completely fascinated!
Oh man, my friend and I were obsessed with this movie back then. We must have watched it 20 times. I didn't know it was filmed in Arizona. Buddy was hilarious in that movie! I need to see it again. I haven't seen it in probably 30 years. Such a great vlog!!! So much information I never knew! Thank you for this and adding the screen grabs for reference! Thank you also for the cute Jah ending!
I love when Buddy does the climax scene in the cafeteria.
As the audience you feel the embarrassment with Terri.
Wow Jordon, you hit this vlog out of the ball park. Absolutely incredible & comprehensive. Thank you
Thank you for bringing back some fun memories for me! What a great movie!
Hi Jordan, I've not seen this film but will have to give it a look. You are always so fortunate that you always manage to see or speak to the owners of the properties that you go to. Those sun glasses you are wearing look fantastic. WOW, that view from the cave was STUNNING!! Nice to see the Jahster having a great time with a new buddy. Great vlog Jordan.
Loved this movie as a kid!! So awesome! Thanks Jordan!
This is one of my favorite channels. We have the exact same taste in films, etc. Everywhere you tour, I want to tour. And a lot of people don’t know about this movie! Well, I was born in 1985, but they played it a lot on HBO when I was 10-11. Love this movie!!!! I had such a crush on Billy Jacoby (the brother, Buddy). 🤣🤣 (I was ten, come on! Besides, I thought his character was hilarious...)
*Bless everyone at this time, much love to all!!! x*
I was born in '86; I remember seeing it on HBO around that time too.
Thanks for making this video!
never heard of that movie, but ill check it out now. thanks for another great vlog! :)
I've lived in Phoenix almost my whole life, I was an 80s high school kid and never knew this movie was made here! I love this movie! Don't forget Bill and Ted Excellent Adventure!
Thank You for making this - Loved it!
Thanks
I remember seeing this movie back then. I love all of your content and the research you do! So cool seeing the owner of the house and how he found out it was in a movie!
That was a good movie! my mom lives walking distance from Coronado HS! I lived in that neighborhood for years until we bought our home and moved to the east valley. So you brought up the mural. They reconstructed Coronado about 10 years ago and the community really made their feelings known that they wanted to keep the mural. They were in with updateding the school but that mural had to stay. Very cool that you noticed it and put it in the vlog. I love the neighborhoods where the houses are located. Basically Scottsdale hasn’t really changed all the much. Those houses you caught in the background have been there since the late 50s and people don’t tend change their facade. New folks moving in the south area are tending to either tear down or change the look somewhat to modernize the homes. But mostly all look the same for more than 50-60 years.
One my favorite movies EVER!! SO UNDERRATED!!!! Thanks so much Jordan, this movie has a wonderful meaning and hilarious at the same time...👍💗🤣💓 I have to watch it again soon! Lots of cool info 🌈 Buddy was a cutie pie...😁
Great to see these locations. I love this movie, watched a lot as a teenager.
yayyyy omg thank u for this upload jordan! more rare 80s plzzzz
any chance of a mermaids with cher filming locations?
This was awesome and so much fun to watch ❤
Yep, I’m a transsexual lady and I’ve always adored this film. It’s just so fun, sweet innocent, funny and the cast is terrific! And the script is well thought out. It’s a perfect 80’s film!
cold day in Chicago this morning so nice to travel with you on your great find in a sunny location
I remember this film played literally everyday on hbo from the late 80s up til like 2005! Watched it so much but can never get tired of it. I was just thinking about it too right before I saw your vlog haha. Good stuff, Jordan!!
It was the most requested movie on HBO, Michael Fuchs said...
Absolutely a favorite ♥️ Great vlog. Thanks Jordan.
Google earth Terry's house ... the pool is still there.
Looks like they remodelled the backyard as it is not same pool, it's rectangular now and closer to the back of the property.
Thanks Jordan! I was 12 when this movie came out and it made a big impression on me (just like Blame it on Rio did). Since then it has become one of my favorites and should be cherished and revered in the same way that Can’t Buy Me Love is.
Great vlog Jordan. You done very well finding the filming locations.. Az looks really to visit. Thank you Jordan for your hard work
Like movies from 80 our 90. Good job Jordan love vlog
OMG ...I loved this movie! Thanks Jordan!
I live in Phoenix metro and I noticed that folks that I have met that are from here, never even heard of it. I had all my boys in the hood watching with me when I came up in St. Louis in the late 80s and early 90s. LOL 😂 I had been watching it since 85 as a kid with my big sister. So, I took a picture of it as soon as I moved here almost 6 years ago and texted it to her. Great video man!!! 💯💪
I hope you liked my hometown of Phoenix, great vlog
I spent alot of time in Phoenix as I went to trade school so I enjoy seeing the sites
I love this movie. Thank you for this awesome vlog!! 👍👏👏👏
Loved this vlog. That was one of my favorite movies and I had such a crush on Joyce when I was a kid. Great job. Thanks for all that you do. Hopefully I’ll see you in the Philly area someday.

I remember seeing this movie 🎥 & it had funny moments I think it ended with her prom scene Great vlog jordan ! Phoenix is such a nice area 🤟🙌
Jordan Another awesome Vlog !!! You really put in the time to research and it shows with all the interesting tidbits of information. Now I will get the movie and take a watch as it sounds like it would be fun to see all the locations.
Want to thank you, Jordan the Lion, for this movie info! I had never heard of it, so after watching your video, I rented the movie and watched it, twice! I kind of felt like I was in-- at least an extra--in the movie because of you showing such accurate filming locations. Thanks for the ultimate inside scoop!
My favorite movie since 4th grade!!! : )
Thanks for putting this together, very well done. I grew up in that area and watched them film this and other movie in that Era. I graduated Coronado and sadly it was torn down and completely rebuilt on the old athletic fields. There was a lot of demand to keep the mural which was designed by the art teacher when the school opened.. It was cut up and moved into the rebuilt school. Along with Just One of the Guys Coronado was also used as San Dimas in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and the high school in a Disney movie called Not Quite Human with Alan Thicke. Raising Arizona uses a lot of the neighborhoods around there too.
Another one of my faves, I had this one too on VHS and I watched it A LOT. what I love about it is everybody has their own opinion about how they look at you or us based on how we look. I'm straight but one of my girlfriends loved it when I dressed up as that guy on the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show Guy. Any way I liked the double roll in this movie and it kinda reminds me of my X girlfriend from the 90's Thanks Jordan. Cheers Bro.
I love your excitement I live in phx and never have seen any of this ❤️
I just watched the blu ray of this movie. First time i've watched it since the early 90s. Now that i'm older this movie is actually really well made and a staple of any 80s movie collection.
A Fantastic veiw thanks for your efforts and time! Luv&Peace be safe!

I remember this movie. I 👍 it it was a good movie. Thanks Jordan. Stay safe 👍😄⭐
very original vlog idea....enjoyed it....great job!!!
I’ve been to the cave when I was in high school. I had gotten sunburned really bad a couple days before, so when I was up there I kept bumping into the rock wall which was really painful. Of course I didn’t say anything because I was trying to impress a girl.
I’ve also been to Big Surf a number of times. I was there with my high school band and was left behind because I didn’t hear the announcement when they were calling for our band to leave. I was up on the slide where you couldn’t hear anything. My parents had to drive all the way across town to come get me.
Love that movie 🍿 ❤️
Thanks for the tour bro.. I saw this movie in like 87 I was 7 years old.. I fell in love with terry and for some reason no girl can ever match her...
Loved that movie, remember seeing it in the theaters in HS. The younger brother character was annoying but hilarious.
Great vlog thanks Jordan!!
