Cool that you mentioned both Cartier L'envol and Varvatos Oud, two of my favorite Fall/Winter fragrances. I would have still worn them regardless, but it's nice to know that someone else also appreciates/recognizes them as solid fragrances.
How would you describe the scent of Oud alone? Is it mainly older men that like it? I’m only asking because I’m considering an Oud frag for my 70 y/o dad for Father’s Day.
@@jezebulls I would describe Varvatos Oud as the older, more mature brother of Spicebomb - Many similar notes are used like cinnamon and leather, but it's far less sweet overall, has a much darker opening that uses nutmeg and clove, and swaps out the bergamot and citrus for juniper. It has a much deeper base that to my nose really features incense and amber - The oud presents itself in a subtle way, but again it seems to me to feature those strong incense notes more prominently in the mid and dry-down. It is imho a beginner oud fragrance, which makes it more accessible to most everyone, but would probably smell best on someone older than 35, due to the strong incense base. Hope that this helps.

I didnt like TF Plum Japonais when it was released. Now i can easily put it in one of the best Tom Ford's ever made!
Taste can change as you grow up.
hahaha,, I actually wore Varvator Oud at a jazz concert today :D
only nice thing about Cartier l'envol is the bottle.. I revisited it more than 5 times and just gifted it to my movers that helped me move. smells like an old lady.
Also I believe JPG announced his retirement, not sure what that means for his fragrance line and its continuation
Does anybody know if they still make Chanel for Men? It was my girlfriend/wife's favorite when we dated in 1987. If you can help it is very appreciated.
Chanel Pour Monsieur? If that’s the one you are talking about it is discontinued but you can probably still find some bottles on eBay.
Terre D’hermes for me as well as Guerlain Vetiver. Guerlain Vetiver smelled skanky. It’s still old man and dated but then so am I
I hated Prada L’homme when it came out and still hate it lol. Sauvage is ok but I smell it on every teenager out there.
🚨New banger alert: Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum 🚨
AquaAmara
Oh what do you know, I hate BDC and YSL EDT, JPG essence de parfum
Crazy how so many Great fragrances were disliked upon their release
It seems like if the fragrance isn't "groundbreaking" then it's trash and overpriced. Then when it hits discounters, they somehow love it and make like 10+ list videos including it as the best bang for buck and underrated scents for under 50 bucks or something
@@gilbertoflores7397 true department store prices can be ridiculous, but there's nothing like going to Macy's and get a fresh bottle right there in person and trying on a few different new frags
@@Tank721 yup. I had a family member who worked at the department stores and they'd get 50% off most fragrances during the holidays. So I was usually able to pick up 200ml Diors adg profumo and the newer releases for much less than you could get at discounters.
@@gilbertoflores7397 no way! I guess I found my next part time job lol
Versace Eros is a fresh summer fragrance. Where is this “too sweet” thing coming from?
not fresh just sweet and overpowering. not that it makes it a bad fragrance. I loved my first bottle in 2016 and love eros flame as well. but they are very sweet
Etsy store - ElementMask has niche fragrances for $60 ✅🔥
@@chaseiphone6552 Shutup. No such seller on Etsy
U left out Dior homme 2020. I must admit Prada l’homme blind bought it hated it for a year tried it agin recently and boom! And it’s quite potent now.
The world would be a better place without Eros. It is "loved" now because of the hype reviewers have given to it. Even Joop! Kicks Eros's así. Eros is just a strong deodorant for teenagers packed in a slick bottle. That's it.
I still don’t like bleu de Chanel, Prada l’homme and Versace Eros 🤷🏻♂️
Dude I did not like Blue De Chanel when it first dropped. Now is my safe wear to work signature but it must have been reformulated
Let's hear these 10 redeemed fragrances!!!!!
#1 Fragrance Reviewer! Sorry Jeremy
He is not even trying any more; people compared Prada lhomme to Dior homme leu, not amber, i remember this one
YSL Y or Dylan blue were (and still are) hated because of their synthetic character and poor quality, not because they're blue
50c....fifty-cent....7:14
Still hate that bottle of Prada. No iris! No thanks!
Yea not i, i do not like blue almost anything, blue de chanel, dylan blue, ralph lauren polo blue anything that names blue ig
La male or mall smells nasty to me, but hey too each their own
Dior sauvage does smell bad but im not going to smell like others ig
Those haters were probably paid by the competition... Just sayin'...
Prada L'Homme - still ultimate scrubber in 2021... why would someone like to smell like that is beyond me. It seriously gives me headaches and that happen very rarely with any fragrance. So this label of top safe scent leaves me baffled, honestly.
I still dislike Sauvage. And i have tried it a dozen of times but is a stinky parfum that gives me headaches. Sauvage is the most overrated and overhyped parfum i have smelled in more than 30 years.
I hate prada ľhomme. Reminds me of a hospital
That varvatos oud ... I tried it in shopping mall and had to run to the toilets to wash it of. Disgusting. One of the worst fragrances Ive ever smelled.
Hey ash your ysl y edt is fake... lol jk but I bought a fake and the y fell off just like that
Come on Ash keep it real. We all know you but all those magazines just to smell the Fragrances they have in side . LoL
Please, excuse my bottle 😒
I like Blue Fragrances, but Versace Dylan Blue is a piece of garbage. The only blue fragrance that I have given away as a present to someone else. To my nose, Dylan Blue is the definition of "generic" ....
these are some crazy stories lol!
And DH 2020 is next in this line
