Great list! I would also include Acqua di Gio and YSL La Nuit de L’homme.
Personally I would never suggest to anyone to buy Creed Aventus, the reason being the price it fetches for. Buy a couple of Tom Fords or Manceras instead just to mention a couple of houses off the top of my head. Yeah, it's quite nice but there are better, more interesting and cheaper things out there. I would avoid the Creed house altogether....
Preach! Also the modern terrible performance and batch variations of Aventus.. 😅
I definitely see what you're saying - but to the "non-enthusiast" Creed Aventus is still going to pull crazy compliments and let the user have that sense of clout. None of their friends will care about Mancera. BUT on the other hand, Nautica Voyage pulls more compliments than some of my other expensive frags sooooo
It's ridiculous how a house like creed can still charge that much for as many frag heads say the new reformulated Aventus doesn't last- so if it has changed then they should charge half that feel me! I mean Armafs dupe to me smells amazing I love it so I can just imagine the OG... ✌❤

I love Mancera but I feel like they reformulated Cedrat Boise which doesn't last at all. I wish they would bring back the old one.

Creed Aventus is the best! It honestly boosts my confidence every time I wear it and I get tons of compliments for it.
Greed is something else 💯🔥🔥🔥👍🏼and it’s worth the price,every time I wear it people turn their heads especially the ladies.
If I were making this list of fragrances every man NEEDS, it would be shorter because you don't need 10. Here's the ones I would pick:

I live in a warm climate, so I love having a variety of summer scents (such as Versace Man Eau Fraiche, Jimmy Choo Man Ice, Azzaro Chrome Aqua, etc) and I love several other fragrances because they are unique and surprising compliment getters (such as Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche). But, if we're talking fragrances EVERY man, should own, it's a rather short list and price plays a factor.
Dylan Blue is so underated... I'll take Dylan Blue before Sauvage, without hesitation.

@@spectorfriend yes Dylan Blue is a solid performer of a blue fragrance and cost way less than Sauvage for same size bottle. Fragcom has only started to hype it up relatively recently. I just hope Versace doesn't reformulate or water it down, I probably would repurchase once it runs out and I normally never buy a 2nd bottle of anything.
Nautica voyage was the first ‘premium’ cologne i ever had and i loved it. Great for summer

I think these are some of the safest buys and easy to like. Light blue forever is very subjective tho haha. I personally think you have to have a very natural smell in the collection.
Which one is best for summer? Sauvage? Cos sauvage has a strong cool fresh projection that 4 people behind you can smell, i have ysl y edp and i wsh that the projection would be like sauvage. Dylan blue is my favourite at the momment and my signature smell. That or ysl y edp..

Late to the party, but I recently sampled Citrus Riviera and it immediately struck me as a better Aventus. The opening lemon Pledge or Lemon oven cleaner smell is way toned down and longevity is better.
I really loved Y EDP at first, but where I live the humidity & heat are high most of the year, so it can be obnoxious with just 3-4 sprays. Imo with the Intense being more subtle, I recommend it over the EDP if you live somewhere with high heat and/or humidity.

Finally a youtuber who like Prada L’homme IntenseEDP. Most guys on here just shut it down straight away and say you should only use EDT. Don’t get me wrong I really like EDT too but myself, my girlfriend and both our parents all preferred the L’homme EDP Intense but all still liked the EDT when I tried them.
Ultramale was my first perfume, and my favorite one. When I’ll run out of it I’ll try to buy the big bottle because I wear it almost every day even if I have 3 other fragrances
Aventus does smell awesome. It is too pricey and I read that men like it more than women. I would rather go for less expensive fragrances and be able to buy several different scents for the same money

I swear by Prada L'homme Intense. A friend of mine and his brother recommended it to me and i was sceptical at first. By the time i tried it myself, it instantly became one of my essentials. Not big on Prada L'homme because i don't really like soapy fragrances but i love this one because the soapyness is not really in your face and it's actually well balanced.
Ash and Chaos are killing the fragrance game right now.

You make an excellent point, I need a decant of Aventus. I have CDNIM and Cedrat Boisee so I get the general direction. I need to be able to understand that territory, but boy, is Cedrat a great wear. I also need to do the same with BR450 against Instant Crush. I'm probably never going to buy 100ml of either the Creed or MFK, but for my own integrity, I think it's important to know, as an aficionado.

You are a smart perfume expert and a correct choice of perfumes, but you talk a lot and the videos are long. Try to be short and provide the summary so that the video is not annoying, boring and heavy.
Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint I highly recommend.
Agreed💯% and ur right... but not just with Creed Aventus but a lot of ppl do buy the clones of a fragrance w/o even knowing actual smell and journey of the fragrance that has gotten cloned but somewhere in their mind they just know what the original fragrance smells like and that just not how that works. I enjoy mixing YSL EDP with anything that smells more mature, it tones down the loudness and gives it a warmer depth

@@enzogomes9371 yeah it‘s definitely of higher quality but my 2019 batch smells so watered down compared to 16 and 17 batches. When you spray them side by side the 2019 and 2020 batches smell like a copy of older batches. I have also read about particular ingredients being left out for cost optimization. Even though I have no insight into that, I can clearly smell the difference between newer and older batches. I am not one of those batch hunters, but in the case of Aventus it was obvious to me. Unfortunately, it is not worth it to me anymore. But if you enjoy it that is great, because that is what it is about 👍

Versace 200ml bottles are regularly $70 at discounters. 100ml Chanel EDT fragrances are $100. That almost 1/3 the cost.

I wanted to hate Creed Aventus so bad, but 1 week into my first bottle and I dig it. Green Irish Tweed is still my favorite, but Aventus earned a spot in the rotation.
Yeah it's got all that hype for a reason. The hype can be overboard sometimes but it's still a fantastic scent.
Creed is easy to like it's none offensive to my nose and last all day but green Irish tweed is my favorite
I've never smelt Aventus, and I have Club De Nuit Intense Man, but I have never claimed to know what Aventus smells like.
smells similar. aventus being less sharp less synthetic. if you have smelled cdnim you get the jist of what Aventus smells like. dont listen to these snobs
It’s just people trying to justify their purchase. They hate that they paid over 300 dollars for something everyone else is getting for 30. It’s everywhere in the community. Nobody HAS to own the original, clones are fine for the average joe. Just enjoy your hobby!
Agreeing with just a few in this 10 must-own list: Dior Homme Intense, Prada L'Homme Intense, and D&G The One Edp.
In a list of 10 must owns not only I would not include any niche, specifically I think Aventus would be the least worthy to have in such a list. Mind you, I have smelled it and it is nice, no idea which batch it was though. But given the price and well known inconsistencies, I think not worth recommending in general, and for sure not as one among just 10 must-owns.
Also having both Sauvage EdP and YSL Y EDP in a 10 must-own seems kind of redundant. And that one slot in the list could be for either one of those or also Bleu de Chanel EdP.
Personally I don´t like Versace pour Homme, the aquatic part in it is a deal breaker for me. I would more strongly recommend something more universally appealing, like Mugler Cologne.
Ultra Male is ok but also I don't think belongs to a 10 must-own list either.
And instead of the Terre de Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche, I'd more strongly recommend the original Terre de Hermes EdT, or Terre de Hermes Parfum.
PS. I have not smelled YSL Ultime yet, so can't comment on that one.

Meh, the differences between Aventus and CDIM are quite negligible to the point that one should have permission to say they know what Aventus smells like. Like if you smell CDIM and finally get to smell aventus, you would be like:"wait, how are they different?!"

Well Ashton as someone that smelled and owned Aventus and Club de Nuit. The difference is pretty slim 😀. Sure the Clone didn’t blow be away like the first time I smelled Aventus, but you really habe to be some kind of fragrance knower to spot the little difference.
I've owned Aventus (original formulation) and loved it. I've tried CDNI a few times, but find the opening too harsh to my nose. Oud Wood & Ombre Leather are 🔥.
all i smell out of creed is citrus, there is nothing special i smell out of it, but world is crazy for this, i will spend on tom ford, atleast i can understand those perfumes, but i dont know why i dont get anything out of creed
i have both Creed Aventus and CDNIM. If i have to choose between them i personaly would choose Club de nuit.
Because Aventus dont last long on my skin.

I have such a love/hate relationship with the y eau de parfum. Apple isn’t my fav scent and I honestly think that’s what throwing it off for me. I like the smell from the bottle but when I apply it and smell it over the next few hours it makes me upset

You don't need aventus. CDNIM lasts longer and projects better. aventus is a status statement nothing more.
Keep CDNIM for colder weather and buy a cheapie like locaste Blanc or Jaguar ultimate man power for warmer weather that’s all you need bro

Is that one a year round fragrance? I know you can wear whatever you want when you want but I heard it’s better in the winter time.
I have only worn two colognes for about 10 years now. Only because I haven't found ANY that can compare. Chrome, by Azzaro and Dunhill Fresh.
I prefer the pour homme too over the chanel. Way too creamy for summer and humid weather..i tend to reach out for something else on cooler weather too.
Yeah, got the decant of Aventus a while back, didn't love it. Got Armaf, loved it. No accounting for taste, amirite?

I don't know what it is about Creed Aventus. I've had a big decant of it and didn't like it. Then I got Creed Aventus for Women thinking it would be a bit turned down but still did not like wearing it. I had Club Nuit and didn't like it. Then I tried a Alexandria clone of the supposedly original formulation called Brasilia Prive and loved it. Since then I've also traded some frags that weren't for me for Tiziono Terenzi Orion and Roja Elysium which I love because they are close to the Alexandria. Strange huh? Aside from that I recently tried and got Aventus cologne and I do love this one but my only complaint is that it's more of a skin scent.

I did the smarter thing with silver mountain water and got a decant..and got the same lack of performance...I don't understand how something that costs me an 3 figures can have such a lack of performance...i get creed has a certain cache that comes with.
Creed is #1 among the poorest value fragrances.

There's an alternative that smells identical and performs better. It's called Armaf Club de nuit sillage. They also have a clone of Aventus called Club de nuit intense man.

If you like D&G The One EDP, try D&G The One Intense EDP. I have both. I spray my right arm with The One, and the left arm with The One Intense. And my nose likes my left arm better :-) . The Intense is sweeter and stronger. The One, while still a nice fragrance, is mild in comparison.
But the scent is pretty familiar, right? I do love the one EdP but the longevity is horrible :/

I only own 2 fragrances from this list. Versace Pour Homme and Ultra Male. The Versace is nice but can give off a very sharp metallic vibe in high heat situations. Witch can be off putting. Other than that it’s a nice fragrance 👍🏽 Ultra Male is a beautiful fragrance 👌🏽 I’d stick to wearing it in fall and winter though because it’s loud 😂 and as for Sauvage I’d go with Sauvage Parfum or the Very Cool Spray. Those are the best from the line in my opinion.

Great list. Aventus is still one of my favorite fragrances. I don't care about the hype behind it and am not driven by it either. I just love the way it smells on me! I do agree it's overpriced, but I also think any fragrance over $250-300 is overpriced 🤷🏻♂️

I ordered 3 perfumes. Bleu de Chanel, Guerlain L'homme Ideal and D&G The One EDP. I tried Chanel and Guerlain first and D&G last but I could not even smell it. I liked Guerlain the most. I am disappointed in The One EDP. It's just hype. Am I wrong or were the other two perfumes stronger than The One EDP?

Got a 125ml backup of ultramale for like 50 or 60 euros couple months back in europe. Seems pretty expensive in USA, but ive seen the price increase here as well
You don't need Sauvage, YSL Y, and BDC; but only one of those. It really depends on one's budget and the climate one lives in. But generally speaking one needs a fragrance or more for each season.

Jeroboam Vespero, MB Explorer, AHSport, Fahrenheit le Parfum, TF Noir Extreme, Rocabar, Tuxedo or Moustache, Ombré Leather, DHIntense, the One EDP…. Is my off the cuff list…. Definitely missing a baller woods although the benzoin piney Rocabar works. For a great wood I like Royal Oud, Bois Mystique or the cheap Proraso Red for an oily old school sandalwood.
I don’t know who started the “Versace Pour Homme smells like Chanel Allure Homme Sport” nonsense, but someone needs to put an end to it.
