While I haven't been to Six Flags a lot in my adult years, kid me will miss hearing the thunder of the bobsleds as you walk to the park and are in Spain.
Why couldn't the get rid of the Mexican hat? Nobody cares or world miss that ride. First they got rid of the cliffhanger. Then they changed they changed the tx giant. Then the parachutes are gone. And now the bobsled. What's next? Judge Roy scream? Don't forget flashback. They're just dead set on removing all the best from my childhood. At least I was able to go often when it was fun.
LaVibora was one of the first rides I rode at SFOT, which was my very first trip to a theme park. It’s a shame it cannot be relocated in the park or at another park.
I worked at SFOT when it opened in August, 1961. I was 19. It was a great job each summer while I went to college. Is anything left from that first year? I remember the Astrolift, the Train, the Oil Derrick, Skull Island, the Flume Ride, La Salle Aventure, the Flying Jenny, Casa Magnetica.
That was the first roller coaster I ever rode :( makes me so sad. I wish they would have at least announced it so I could have ridden it one last time. Instead I just showed at holiday in the park to see pieces of it missing.
Sad they are scrapping these rides and not selling or relocating them… I bet in 20 years they wish they would have… it’s shameful how they went about closing these rides…
@ Yea, it came from Magic Mountain. Meh, I think if someone wanted it, parts wouldn’t be an issue, of course they wouldn’t be readily available but you can have spares made.
I'm wondering, with the new wearhouse, are they planning on moving stuff from the old wearhouses to the new one to make room in the park for the new ride and/or future park expansion?
Hi Brian, great video I was just wanted to know I looked at the six flags event calendar and it doesn't show anything about spring break. With this new company I've just wondering if they're going to have it this year. Hopefully they'll have some good events this year in shows.. I'm really looking forward to the 2026 season with the new roller coaster coming up.. thank you! Have a great day and Merry Christmas to you and yours😊.
That ride seemed to always have a line due to, I assume, low capacity. It makes sense to remove it though it’s true that as a rather unique ride it’s a shame. Hopefully something good comes to replace it.
I’m glad it’s going away. I’ve ridden the Avalanche Bobsled since it was introduced. I always got banged around in it and even got a bruise one time. I would think maybe this time I will enjoy it, But was usually disappointed as I felt I got whiplash sometimes at the brake points. lol. RIP bobsled/Vibora, you will not be missed by me. 😂
@ similar to how Great adventure is doing Green Lantern. Basically and excavator with hydronic cutters. Mostly mid week work but there were times when the park was open on the weekends. Park was weekend only at the time.
RIP Avalanche Bobsled. It was a fun experience but certainly not worth the wait time it always seemed to have.

Definitely weird seeing it half gone. Not the same greeting for sure.

@@lesterine77 they got rid of my fav ride to put in the flashback so i don't miss that one with its single car and too long wait times

Wow, what a monumental moment… I remember this opening my Senior year in College… 1986
They should consider selling pieces of La Vibora as memorabilia
I think there would be plenty of interest!
The saddest part is there are no more intamin bobsleds left
The way my trips worked out this year, I rode: Ka, Green Landern, Anaconda, Li Vibroa, and Nighthawk.

Railroad is the last attraction existing from opening season. Flume, Casa Magnetica and Oil Derrick are also still around.
I used to work at SFOT. Bobsled was as much of a pain to work as it was to ride. Sad to see such a unique ride come down

Scraps FRFR. I think they could be moving the offices and wardrobe buildings over to make room for that Dive!

Already relocated once. Last of its kind (so parts aren’t exactly available). It has reached end of life. 🤷🏻♂️

I’m hoping it is a means of cleaning up the craziness that is in and around the overflow lot. Looks like a junkyard.
Thank God I rode La Vibora a few months ago! Kind of wild I get to say I’ve been on an Intamin bobsled. Probably not the most common credit.
Bye bye bobsled!!! You’ll be missed!! Glad I got to experience you during my child hood😢 wasn’t my fav ride either but it was fun
I worked on that on 2009 through 2011 la viva Bora forever
It was a solid ride but honestly this is long overdue.
It held on for a long time!
I lost a hat on that ride
Lots of hats got lost on that ride. Every time I rode it there were a dozen at least.
I rode that when I was little I think back in 1994 me my mom and dad rode that hate that they closed it it was a fun ride

Merry Christmas! I don’t think the park has released any event-related details for 2025. May still be in flux with new folks at the top.
I hurt my tailbone on that ride. Still rode it again later, but was always careful how I sat after that.
They could cut up pieces of the bobsled ride and sell them as memento pieces if they're smart...

Very low capacity, plus the first coaster you run into heading in that direction.
You are a favorite channel.

This is sad. What's weird is, this ride was ALWAYS packed, so I don't get it.
i did my best to document Alpine Bobsleds teardown at Great Escape. it is interesting the difference in how the rides were dismantled.
How did they do it? Slow and steady has to happen here because it is nestled in so close to other attractions.

RIP💔
I heard Eldoblo is going out to
Yep. Bye bye.
Already saw this at the end of Exam Week.
I'm so glad you covered this. I'm in my 40s, that ride was there long before I was. Knowing it's one of the last makes it even sadder.
THE last. 🙀
I rode this once cause I was scared
