Can you please talk about how Muppet Vision 3D is closing permanently at Hollywood Studios? Disney still hasn't posted about it on social media and it would be great to have more people discussing it, especially since it was the last thing that Jim Henson ever worked on and the last time he got to voice Kermit.
Was at KD in August for the first and only time so far and this was closed when I was there. Now I'm even more mad because there's so many arrow loopers i'll never get to ride. Great Video as always!
Viper at SFMM is the last remaining Arrow mega-sized custom looper, X2 is the first 4D, so there is some history with both. It will be a real dumb move to throw that history away, period.
Well i'm gonna throttle them if they close Viper at MM. Thats actually still a good coaster. I think those superman thingy's are on the chopping block there.
Hopefully Anaconda's trains and spare parts get sent up to Darien Lake to keep Viper running longer. If Six Flags had to close an Arrow looper last-minute to provide that hardware, Anaconda was the obvious choice.
Viper has 2 trains . And one spare train that is used for parts. But it’s like 43 years old, so it’s likely it’s going to be gone in the next few years. So it’s likely it won’t go there, if anything it will end up at a park that is more in desperate need. But theirs lots of things in that park that aren’t safe from removal.
I will miss Anaconda, for one. I really liked it. What’s more frustrating is the fact that we didn’t get proper notice and get our final goodbyes. What they should do is make 2025 its last year, THEN after Haunt, take it out.
Always loved the first drop into 2 inversions. The corkscrews over the water were pretty unique back then as well. The middle section was full of jank though, RIP old friend 🫡
KD is my home park, haven’t been in years, will return for 2025, 50th anniversary. Anaconda was my first “looping” rollercoaster. As a kid, going upside down for the first time was crazy! As the years went on, I definitely didn’t care for it much anymore, far too shaky, always caused headaches. Nevertheless, I do wish I coulda gotten a “last ride” on it. I genuinely don’t remember the last time I rode it, woulda liked a formal last time. In the future, I pray they keep the “lake”. There’s a unique opportunity to have a coaster over water, unlike anything else in the park, and you’re right, it should be a flyer! Track above you as your feet dangle near the water, unsure if you’ll get wet or not. It’d be perfect! Doesn’t need to break records, just a perfect middle ranking coaster where anyone can enjoy
Well if there will be a version this year of "Discussing the 2024 Theme Park Season with Ourselves from the Past" It will be pretty interesting. Especially with all the recent rollercoaster closures at the Six Flags Parks, also don't forget the Top Thrill 2 thing. Of course the continuous delays of Cotaland, which has been a thing since 2021. Should I continue? Yeah.... 2024. Good times...... good times.....
Now a couple of good ones openned to but the best 2 where in Europe. As for closures i only think Ka will be really missed. Yes other rides will have had there little fanclubs to but overall i don't think most had a problem with those closures except for the timing and not announcing it.
I remember hearing a rumor that Anaconda was supposed to close the year that Volcano ended up closing keeping Anaconda open for awhile longer. That makes me worried about the other arrow loopers in the chain, Viper at SFDL is pretty reliable, still runs pretty smoothly for it's age, is well maintained, and can still draw a decent line on busy days (although it's been running 1 train for the past several years and it has 3).
I’m glad I got to ride it the few times I did. It really wasn’t as bad as most people say it was. Definitely not the best, but it was a lot of fun still.
For me the thing couls have stayed as long as they didn't have a good replacement for it. I personaly didn't really like it. But i didn't dislike it either. In a smaller park this would still be a nice coaster in this park hmm i think it didn't really serve a purpose anymore. I know whem i wemt on it for the fisrt time last year that i thought it was weird that it was still around.
It’s the first looping coaster I’ve ever gotten on, and the first “large” coaster in general, I’ll definitely miss it. I do understand (and expected) the removal of Anaconda but it’s unfortunate that they are yet again doing it with no announcement. I can only assume that the reason is because the decision to remove it was generally quick after the merger, and perhaps it required maintenance, so there was a quick cost decision that created no time for an announcement in the prior season
I love drop towers so much they are my favorite flat rides so they better not get rid of theirs. It sucks to see sfgadv lose theirs and carowinds too because drop towers are so fun

this was my brothers favorite and i have NO IDEA why😭😭😭 i love that their getting rid of it. i hope that they put something good in that place even if it’s just a cool scenery
Next removal is most likely Superman: Escape From Krypton. I also think Zimmerman or someone else complained about X2 being expensive to maintain, which if they close I might stop going to magic mountain
I personally liked Anaconda and am sad to see it go. But there are a bunch of options for new rides that I believe will be a worthy successor. I would love to see a tilt coaster that drops into Anaconda’s underwater tunnel!
Glad Anaconda gots to go. Hope the get a Mack Hyper or B&M Hyper Flying Coaster would be fantastic. Merry Christmas Taylor and Sarah. I will be turning 50 on New Year's Day!
Anaconda has a great first half and that’s it. It’s a shame to see a classic Arrow go, but it hasn’t gotten much traffic as of late. I really hope they make the right decision and replace it with something thrilling.
I will be sad to see it go. King's Dominion is where i rode my first real roller coasters (thanks to the annual "math and science day" they held for high schools) And Anaconda is the first inverted coaster I ever rode. So, it will always be nostalgic for me.
The no announcement for a ride being removed really makes me wonder what other nostalgic old coaster is not safe from removal with the new six flags corporate
Yay! As a 44 year old NOVA native who's been to kings dominion regularly since appx. age 4. This ride sucks and it hurts your head and it has from when I was 11 up to 43. The last time I was there In 2023, we got in line figuring it'd be a quick easy-on/no-wait ride. The line was an hour+ so that it didn't happen. They should have never closed Volcano! And yes Santa Claus, Virginia wants a flying coaster.

And the crazy thing is rollercoasters today are so fast and extreme they can't even do basic loops. RIP ARROW LOPPERS. Carowinds still has one of you need a taste
If they are going to keep canning 2 for every 1 new coaster they build, along with multiple flat rides and not actually bother to replace them, they be giving everyone a discount. It's honestly disgusting to see enthusiasts not caring at all while the general public is much more interested and wishing they'd got in extra rides. Of course, it's apparently only about speed and forces, not actually about enjoyable and/or long-lasting rides. Kingda Ka was always broken, an overly short one-trick pony of shakiness and yet the internet is going to be whining about that one for years. Hailing RMC as the king of coasters with their terrible leg restraints. Give me a functioning Arrow (same park had great American scream machine, should've been moved but almost amusing to see its replacement gone as it should've never been there to begin with) or Vekoma anyday over these more modern 30 second coasters. The amount of disrespect for the past and ridicoulous "well it's past 20 years, that's pretty good" seems like some kind of gimmick and/or odd hate for the thing one so claims to love.
Taylor this was my First steel coaster after Scooby doos ghoster coaster. This is heart breaking ive been in Florida for almost 15 years and ive told myself ima get back to ride all my childhood coasters. Seems like i waited a little to long
Personally I'm not too saddened by the closure specifically because of Anaconda, but it does make me worry about Viper at SFMM. Its truely the last of Arrow Megaloopers now and one of my personal favorites, so I really hope this isn't a sign that Viper is next on the kill list.
I have not been to this park since 2013 - but I always liked Anaconda. It was not rough in tbe 90s or 2010; I remember being a little dizzy off it only in 2013. I do think metal fatigue makes these coasters rougher over time ( more than manufacturing issues). I thought this was a very fun, well balanced coaster ( not too intense; not a kids coaster). The first drop under water and double loop and the corkscrew finale were great. As with Grizzly ( which I heard went up in popularity after it was retracked) the main complaint was the ' headbanging'. I have low tolerance for being jostled and as I said - the only time I noted any roughness was 2013 ( my kast visit). This ride was not as memorable as Loch Ness but some theming and retracking - and maintaining the history of the only Arrow Looper at the park - would have been better. I will miss it. KD is too coaster based at this point. Popularity of Halloween and Christmas events - and the lack of popularity of Intimidator among all but enthusiasts -shows people want more than roller coasters. The more you keep making nothing but coasters the more you lose all family based visitors. So it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy that you are only getting attendance lifts from coasters since you have soent decades neglecting any other type of ride and cut out your shows budget; etc.
Got to visit KD for the first time this past June and although I didn’t think Anaconda was an amazing ride, I thought it was fun! Glad I got to experience it before it’s gone #SoLongAnaconda
Rode it back in the last week of Sept and wow was it rough and painful. Far worse than Corkscrew at CP and Vortex's last days. I told myself I would never ride that again. From a visual standpoint I am sad to see it go as it fit in the area perfect and was such a cool view, the way it went over / around the lake.
I wonder if they are going to remove rides up north at Six Flags America. They opened up a new themed area; however, the rest of the park needs a much needed facelift. That park has some real estate potential.
I can’t wait for Six Flags to remove all unique coasters and replace them with boring B&Ms. Also it really isn’t difficult to announce ride closures 2024 has been terrible and 2025 will be worse.
I could SOMEWHAT understand their logic if they made 0 announcement at all and just hoped the GP (moneymakers) would not even notice. But they are literally announcing these, making it public then just shrugging their shoulders. They would make money holding last rider auctions, events, etc. Idk what they're doing at this point...
aww man, i was planning a trip to KD and BGW in 2025, was hoping to get a ride on this arrow looper, oh well. hopefully raptera will be ready to go by the time I show up!

Yes, it will be missed. Despite its age and its flaws, I've always liked it. I thought it should have received some renovations, not scrapped.
This is one Arrow I won't shed a tear over here. BYE FELICIA! 😆👋
Merry Christmas Taylor and Sarah!
Come ride viper. It’s not as rough as anaconda and fun.
I’m so scared Viper at SFDL and Viper at Magic Mountain will be next!!!! 😱
Here's hoping Viper will be preserved due to it not having the design flaws Shock Wave and Great American Scream Machine had.
And/or X2
Viper at SFMM is the last remaining Arrow mega-sized custom looper, X2 is the first 4D, so there is some history with both.
It will be a real dumb move to throw that history away, period.
DLs is safe for now, cause theirs multiple flats in that park, Go karts and Bating cages and even paddle boats that will go first
Well i'm gonna throttle them if they close Viper at MM. Thats actually still a good coaster. I think those superman thingy's are on the chopping block there.
RIP to the most beautiful sounding lift hill.
R.I.P VOLCANO 🌋
Not Anaconda
Totally agree - flyer or spinner would be great! Flying over the water = awesome. My kids love white water canyon.
This wasnt a parts decision.
Merry Christmas Taylor! I hope you have a great day! It’s about time that Kings Dominion removed Anaconda in my opinion too.
Was waiting for his celebration😂😂
That drop tower looks awesome.
It's a shame that another ride has been closed unannounced. 2024 has not been kind to rollercoasters
When it's gone just seeing that area empty is gonna look CRAZY 😂😂😂 I feel bad for the fans that still loved it
I’m glad I got to ride it the few times I did.
They've just closed two of (in my opinion) the most underrated coasters that I have ridden..! I love both Nighthawk and Anaconda
Merry Christmas Talyer and Sarah
I liked it & glad I got to ride it one last time
It’s the first looping coaster I’ve ever gotten on, and the first “large” coaster in general, I’ll definitely miss it.
I'm old enough to remember when there were water ski shows on that lake. I also remember riding the safari monorail located where Outer limits and I305 are😂
taylor and sarah guess what! my mom and family friends told us we’re officially going to cedar point for the first time next year!! 😄😄🎢🎢
Congrats!
@ thank you, i’m so excited! i have 142 credits as of now and am so happy that we’ll be driving there and hopefully to also kings island next year!!
WOW HAVE FUN its such a great park! can u tell me how tt2 and/or sirens curse is if ur able to go on it..?
@@thecoasterauthorityI’d suggest going once you know TT2 and Sirens open
@@NavaNoidGMD yesss i’ll reply to u if/once i get on them!! 😊
this was my brothers favorite and i have NO IDEA why😭😭😭 i love that their getting rid of it. i hope that they put something good in that place even if it’s just a cool scenery
Merry Christmas Everyone 🎄
Next removal is most likely Superman: Escape From Krypton. I also think Zimmerman or someone else complained about X2 being expensive to maintain, which if they close I might stop going to magic mountain
They can’t afford to do that with universal getting a new ride. I honestly think the negativity from Ka will get them to sit the hell down.
I’ve already commented this on another video, but if X2 closes, it’s probably worth a r i o t
This is the best Christmas gift I could ever ask for!!! 🎄🎅
Well this sucks.I love anaconda its not the best but she was a memorable ride.
I know anaconda wasn't the greatest, but it will always have a place in my heart as one of my favorites.
Wow, it really is Christmas. What wonderful news to wake up to 🎅 🎄
I will miss Anaconda.
1:14 THERES MY MEME! 😂❤
When does Canada's Wonderland get in on this action?
I imagine it’s coming…
@@CoasterStudios new years lol. Flight Deck, Time Warp, Minebuster, WildBeast, Sledgehammer, Riptide even. Hopefully just flight deck , TimeWarp and WildBeast ( Mindbuster has some airtime and isn’t really rough as it used to be , and if they add a few tunnels , some fog it be perfect for Haunt.
These arrow loppers will be remembered by a generation of people as the bridge between the old wooden era or mild steel rides and INVERSIONS.
Seems like i waited a little to long
Merry Christmas from the UK!
Merry Christmas!! 🌲⛄⭐
I’m not a fan of Anaconda, but the name fits so well with the Jungle theme of that area of the park.
I wonder if they are going to remove rides up north at Six Flags America. They opened up a new themed area; however, the rest of the park needs a much needed facelift. That park has some real estate potential.
This is the best Christmas present ever!
