Yet another beautiful episode. During this week at work, I caught myself tightening flathead screws on electrical boxes so that the grooves would be aligned. I think watching your videos is starting to imprint on me.. :D
I first learned that back in 1971 when I was watching an electrician wire outlets in a gas station. I have done it myself to this day. Stuff like that sticks.
Absolutely love the way you teach the why and how of each process. You are a great teacher. I will never build a boat, but your thinking of how to do things will contribute to my projects in a big way.
"If you're going to make it, make it beautiful." There is no argument, you certainly have made it beautiful.👍👍Steve is going to go wild when he sees this master piece.🥰🥰 Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Have you thought about some brass cups for where the sole pins and latches go into the bulkheads/mast step. To stop wear on the wood and also seal the wood where the holes are to prevent water ingress into the wood. Enjoy watching this project progress.
Thank you so much for letting us come along for the build of this piece of art that you have created. The detailing and care that you have put into this little craft is awesome, I've been blown away by Steve & Leo from Tally Ho and then Steve introduced us to you. I will be watching your back catalogue of videos once Victoria is done, and most likely anything else you build in the future.
I've looked at Dingys before, and I thought it was a Dingy. I didn't think more deeply that it was a work of Art in and of itself. Thank you, Bob, for bringing me back to reality. Mike 🇦🇺
Another great update on the construction of Arabella's tender. A darn beautiful job Bob. I look forward to seeing the future episode when you complete the build. Thanks for sharing!
I mean come on. That removable sole are absolutely GORGEOUS. Glad you’re building Victoria. The craftsmanship goes great with how ARABELLA is turning out
Bob you mentioned the launch date it's hard to believe after watching all this time that date is almost here, but as Steve said there is so much more to do after launch both Arabella and Victoria are coming together BEAUTIFUL
Loved the cedar sole plates. Just had to chuckle at how you lined up all the slots in the screws! This is dinghy turning into another piece of your “art-work”!
Like the way that you made the ses removable. Seeing the folding wood rule in your back pocket, brought back memories of building our house and how many got broken that way!
Building those beautiful cedar floor boards reminded me what I personally built and contributed many years ago for a boat almost the same size. As I was working, I kept telling myself patience is an important vertu worth pursuing and you certainly have the patience and skills necessary. Well done Bob! Certainly look forward to seeing Victoria's completion and hopefully sitting on Arabellas cabin roof soon.
Watching all the time and care you put into this build, not to mention custom material and fabrications, sadly seems to make a fair cost of the product well beyond the means of most folks for such a high quality jewel of a little boat. Even sadder is probably the proliferation of unappreciative customers in today’s market. Great watch as usual.
I appreciated the practical side of Bob's videos, where he shows how to transfer the curved hull surface onto the matching sole board with station measurements and a batten.
Hi Bob you are a Master in your Craft. I am dying to see how Steve plans to get Victoria up onto the deck of Arabella and upsidedown onto the cabin roof without scratching your beautiful paintwork. Hi from Cork Ireland.
So good! I'm now going to have to pull up the cedar flooring in my skin on frame canoe, which is just tied to the ash ribs, and fasten them together so I can pull the floors out. All of your videos are instructive and inspirational. What a beautiful boat! Great job, Bob--Steve is going to be so happy to use Victoria.
If you punch a small flat tip screwdriver into the bottom of the lid channel on the can . The paint will run back into the can when you close the lid 👍👍
I mentioned in the video why not to varnish the sole. Coating it with epoxy is the same result. It will make the sole slippery when wet. The sole or the deck of a wooden boat should never be varnished.
@@TheArtofBoatBuildingRight, but how about just some anti-skid? The type that's used on skateboards is relatively cheap, lasts long and very grippy. It even protects the wood from wear. With the sole constantly in wet (even fresh water from the rain), it seems ideal to epoxy each piece (even screw holes) before assembling.
I see why Steve chose to have you build his tender. It is nothing short of floating fine cabinetry. Well done!
That tender is really looking beautiful Bob, you are doing a wonderful job on her.
Almost needs to be placed in a bottle, but the Arabella crew will get a first class tender here. Beautiful little boat.
Was thinking the same thing😂. It’s too pretty to be used-Should be preserved under glass!
Couldn’t agree more! “Make it beautiful.”
Art and skill. This Dinghy is nicer than most peoples boats.

Unbelievable craftsmanship Bob. It is a pleasure to watch your attentiveness to great detail. Victoria will be the crown jewell for Arabella!
Outstanding, Bob! 'Beautiful' is an understatement. Are you going to be at the launch of Arabella?
Yes I’m looking forward to it!
Bob you are without per, The Artist of Boat Building!!!
18:24 all srews in the same direction👌 nice!!
Great to have mates. Mike 🇦🇺
Absolutely love the way you teach the why and how of each process. You are a great teacher. I will never build a boat, but your thinking of how to do things will contribute to my projects in a big way.
You certainly makes things beautiful.

Forgot to mention, you're camera work and editing is first class and allows us to focus more on what's necessary .
Wow… just WOW! 🇨🇦
Victoria will be the tiara that will adorn Arabella as she navigates the world.
Can I just say a massive thank you for always putting the conversion imperialmetric on the screen.
Great job Bob, ain’t nobody builds a boat like you do👉🏻🏅
Well, Bob, Steve was a smart fella to get you to build this tender for him You've done one incredible job! my friend.
Steve is one lucky guy to have you building his tender, beautiful work
Have you thought about some brass cups for where the sole pins and latches go into the bulkheads/mast step. To stop wear on the wood and also seal the wood where the holes are to prevent water ingress into the wood. Enjoy watching this project progress.
A beautifully filmed and edited episode, to say nothing of the build itself.
Thank you bringing it to Wooden Boat Show! It was great to meet you in person.
It was a great event. I enjoyed meeting many of you as well.
He certainly does make it beautiful!

Thanks Alan!
Cool to see an old forgotten crumbling boat come alive again in a new form.
Beautiful. The fact that she's made mostly from reclaimed lumber from a decommissioned ship who's name she bears is doubly cool.
WOW, beautiful!!!!!
I've looked at Dingys before, and I thought it was a Dingy. I didn't think more deeply that it was a work of Art in and of itself. Thank you, Bob, for bringing me back to reality. Mike 🇦🇺
I bet this guy never has to cut twice!
Beautiful boat.
I hope Arabella will appreciate your work of art and craftsmanship! Cheers!

This dinghy is truly exceptional! Can't wait to see her at launch day.
Looks great Bob. I love the use of the latches.
Amazing work, Bob! It's getting even more beautiful! 😃
Looking forward to the seats!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Making it beautiful, Bob. Great episode.

Great attention to detail - even the slots in the screws are aligned! @ 18:29
Just in time build!
Yet another episode showcasing great craftmanship. Thanks.
You do just good quality work. Steve is super lucky to have you helping on his project. Keep up the great job!
Beautiful work, Bob.
Beautiful craftsmanship. Loving your channel. Thanks for sharing your art with us Bob.
Magnificent workmanship. I feel honored to have watched you build this boat.
It certainly is beautiful!
Beautiful craftsmanship... Great addition to a great boat!
Your work is perfection! 👍🏾
most interesting video again. And the dinghy is looking fantastic. The big market wants that kind of dinghies and the market is big.
Hand crafted beauty 😮
Like the way that you made the ses removable. Seeing the folding wood rule in your back pocket, brought back memories of building our house and how many got broken that way!
Well done 👍
A work of Art my friend!!
Wow! once again impeccable craftsmanship, and beautiful too. Cant wait for the next episode Bob.

Wonderful and neat work👍👍⭐⭐
Such TLC! How rewarding!
Man, that is gorgeous!
What an awesome tender. also how cool is the removeable sole.
Wonderfully meticulous craftsmanship. Lined up every screwhead…

Always great to see a boatbuilder with all his fingers and thumbs! Stunning workmanship Bob. 👍👍
Looking good, he is going to really appreciate this boat.
AMAZING craftsmanship!!! Well done!!!
A work of art
That is a fantastic looking Dink!

Beautiful class work.
Looking very nice!

looks great!
Looks wonderfull and beautiful ❤
Stunning!
From what I see it looks like you clocked all the screws….. nice touch!
Thanks again, lovely work
👍👍 from France
So beautiful! Our dinghy next? Haha sensational effort
It would have to be a Gartside design to go with your beautiful boat.
If you punch a small flat tip screwdriver into the bottom of the lid channel on the can . The paint will run back into the can when you close the lid 👍👍
man, this is coming out greeeeeat!
It's looking awesome you do some beautiful work
Looks great!
Wonderful work, many thanks for sharing
I changed my mind. Your way looks best.
Very nice work sir.
Very Nice Work
Très beau travail Merci !
Excellent as always. Totally inspirational. 👍
PS Pedant Alert! Minor quibble. It is ‘an’ not ‘a’ before ‘amazing’ in the video title.
Beautiul work, so satisfying to follow. The latches were clever. Only question is why not cover everything in epoxy, especially the floor boards?

Excellent work! I wondered how much the dinghy weighs.
Hate to put it in the water so beautiful. Is it going to be done in the next 2 weeks for launch.
