All hail from Kiwi land , we once had a tender with sealed buoyancy cavity seats , which leaked, so we drilled a couple of wide holes and poured in a carefully calculated amount of expanding foam ! and blew the seat top . What you might call a disaster. Love you show :-)
It took us 16 days by memory with most of those days all 4 of us working on the boat. Towards the end at the painting stage you have to wait for the paint to dry before you can start the next bit so those weren’t full days.
Great video! Panama is a beautiful country, I visited there and traveled across the country. I wonder where are you now...probably home??Safe travels!! From Canada 🇨🇦
Hey Team, that was a seriously cool video. We are a Kiwi family in Thailand who've just bought a 32ft Beneteau of pretty much the same vintage as yours and have been loving your videos, keep it up. Although you've cost us now... as we simply had to buy a Torqueedo once we saw yours, and how few rowing shots you've done since ha ha. Kia Kaha and fair winds with a following sea.
It's so lovely, I would appreciate you if you could please tell me where I can order the whole thing online, I am actually based in Dubai, and I am not able to find it here.
We purchased the dinghy as a kitset in the UK - the European distributor for CLC is a company called Fyne Boat Kits. They're based in Cumbria. If you prefer to do the whole process yourself, you can buy the plans on their own. www.clcboats.com www.fyneboatkits.co.uk
Hello, I am your admirer on youtube and I want to build a little Chesapeake sailboat like you. Can you please send me a photo of the wood layout plan on the plywood board. Thank you Petr Kamenský CZ
I'm sorry , but there is something inherently wrong with sawing a boat you have just built in half . However , i'm quite taken with this little thing , i must say . I was looking at a scamp folding boat , but i'm gonna take a closer look at this one first . Very nice job well done !
Nice little Dinghy!
Well Done! Enjoyed the video.
A fine job. The finish work was superb !
Thanks!!
Beautiful little Pram, well done.
Really enjoyed this vid.thanks
Great review of how to build the dinghy. Thanks.
I like this boat.
Nice project, thx, Adam, Tofino.CA
We're gonna make one cool thanks looks 👍
Congratulations guys. That is one quality job you have accomplished. Also, thanks for the contacts/links. Piwakawaka is a real beauty!!
Glad you liked her!

I would love one of these Eastport Prams. Wish I had the skill to build the kit but I know myself, I'd probably over sand and over cut somewhere.
The instruction manual was very comprehensive - you should give it a go! A really fun project.
Excellent video - I'm surprised it took me this long to find your channel. Great use of an AMEX card!
Haha thanks!
having done a fair amount of glass/wood work (boats, airplanes, telescopes and amateur radio dish antennas) you did a nice job
Thank you very much!
Good job with planing the mast. I would of subbed that out to someone with a lathe.
Great job. Thinking of building one. Realistically are you able to sail her with two aboard? Thanks.
Yep we definitely can. It’s a bit squishy but we can both fit
Did the rope fender work out okay? I've just finished building and need to attach some kind of fender round mine.
Great video as usual. Are you doing a video of your Panama Canal crossing? Where is your next planned stop in the Pacific? Stay safe!
Hopefully you've seen our canal crossing by now?
For cutting the boat ....you have to turn it.....easy ....
How long please did it take to build and total man hours seeing you had assistance. Am thinking of building this myself, thks

Not home yet... :)
What epoxy are you using guys, and what platform did you buy it off if you don't mind me asking, a big thank you in advance. :)

Fantastic! Yeah we love the Torqeedo, but I’m going to try remember to row more often. Have fun on your new boat!
What is that brown thing being scooped and added to the fiberglass adhesive? Thankyou.
Wood flour basically dust from sanded wood.
@@Alex-yk3bw thankyou for reply. Now i know what i'll add for my future homemade dinghy.
Great vid of your build process. Like the catamaran build in the background too, a Wharram Tiki?
Good guess! Yep, that’s it!
nice wharram on the back. link the channel please.

did it nest okay with the rope on the gunnel?
Yep, sure does!
Can you use a small motor with the pram ?
You can - we have a 4hp electric outboard for those days when we’re anchored waaay out the back :)

141222 Good job
Cutting in half my nesting pram was also the scariest part of the process, I wish I thought of the trick with the long drill!
So scary!!! We definitely needed a littel dutch courage beforehand!

Nice boat! I’m not sure it’s big enough for Asha’s ego though
shouldn't you get back to managing Brett and Jemaine?!
(sorry)
Ñoños
You don't paint wood. YOU STAIN IT..... IF you want to paint something. Paint steel.... or sheetrock.....
