The security guard knows he just witnessed an epic performance by one of the all time greatest musicians. The emotion of this song always gets to me. 🎸🎸🎸🎸
I’ve been to 5 Roger shows, 1 Nick show, and finally… GILMOUR! I was there that night, and yes I get goosebumps just watching this. Truly a magical night. 🤯 🤯 🤯
I went to this show at MSG on Nov 10 with my daughter, and my nephew and his wife and we loved every minute of the show!!! Absolutely the best concert I have seen in my 72 years of life on this earth!!!!
@@mikehall280I was at that show at Royal Albert Hall too, 7th row. AND this one. Both shows were the best concerts I’ve ever seen in my life. He should just keep the same show touring IMO.
I couldn’t agree more. I was at RAH 10-14 which was so incredible!! Best version I have seen is 10-29 Hollywood Bowl. Lights/lasers are insanely good! David is THE 🐐 GOAT
Was there on the 5th. Fantastic show. The new record held up well live. David got the gritty tone going for pipers call, a highlight for me. But his end solo on numb that night was “the” best solo I’ve heard in my life and I’ve seen all the guitar legends
These MSG shows looked like a blast. I went to all four LA shows and he varied the solos for many of the songs. The first night at the Bowl was very cold and windy. David would try to shake and warm his hands and fingers all nights. "Welcome to another warm night in Los Angeles" he would sarcastically comment each show. He's as funny as he is great. We're so lucky to have him.
I was there on election night! I posted about 15 videos on my account what a show!! What an honor to have been at his show! Loved every minute! He really tore up Sorrow, and Coming Back to Life, Scattered live was amazing!
@@magicman28131 he wants so bad to be "Pink" when he's nowhere near it. Same damn song list. At least MLoR sounds like PF. Sorrow was just a showoff song. Should've been on a solo album just like most of Division Bell imho
@@Dizzaddy you could say the Wall and Final Cut should’ve been Roger solo albums. And I don’t understand how that argument makes Sorrow a bad song. It’s actually a great song, especially live. But, haters gonna hate, I guess. 🤷🏻♂️
@ RAH 14/10 and Inglewood 25/10 are especially great in my opinion. I was in Rome on 28/9 and of course it was great but it was only the second show of the tour. It looks like the band is getting better every week. For example if you compare solos from the beginning of A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour in late 1987 with mid-1988 and 1989 there is quite a huge difference in sound effects and playing. I really hope for another leg of the tour next year as some rumors are suggesting!
@@ffsaleite afaik these rumours are more wishes and 'but wouldn’t it make sense?!' - I have yet to hear anything that seriously indicates new concerts... officially that's it for now
It started out very PULSE like, but then it really deviated quite a lot. Could it be that this session was recorded and he wanted to start out "safe" until he really got into the groove?... this could ofcourse just be me hoping there will be a blue-ray release of this night. In any case - great version!
@ yes, let’s hope it got recorded. I heard some of the England’s shows were recorded, but his playing and singing were far better in NYC. In any case, it was a night to remember! King David!
WTF was that second solo? The man is an icon, but what was that shite? Kiss his arse, but I refuse to. It was crap! Used to be a beautiful, emotional solo, one of the best, but Dave is going through the motions based on past glory!
@@obstantiadiscindo I always say roger needed two guitar players to get anywhere close to an acceptable product to tour with. Gilmour just needs guy pratt to do the same thing roger did and nobody can tell the difference!
All Roger really contributed was lyrics. Many of them were indeed great, but listening to Pink Floyd for the lyrics is like going to a 5-star steakhouse for the parsley.
@@markwalters-kb9zf That's a great take. I agree with that. I don't think they'd be the same without him, but like you said, it's not what people are there for. David even played the amazing bass part on pigs (that roger pushed down in the mix, finally audible in the 2018 remaster!) that roger couldn't.
For many people on this planet, who don't speak English very well or not at all (the French for example 😁), Pink Floyd is a sound and this sound is Gilmour so, by transitivity, Pink Floyd is Gilmour.
I love how the security guard is singing along and decides to turn around to enjoy the show
There is no risk of stage invasion.
Respect!

I was there last night also. Epic!!!
I felt the same after the royal Albert hall 11th October… just incredible.
Same here! ❤

Last show of perhaps his last tour. I like how he takes a slightly different approach on the last solo.
This is is insane footage of CM. The greatest - David Gilmour. Thank you so much for your emotion and musicality.
CM?
It's amazing that he changes it every time and it still fits right into the song seamlessly

He apparently changed it into shit at this concert then, because that's what it was?

MAGIC! Romany was throwing down at the end! Love her!
Hahaha I was standing right next to this guy filming-I was the guy that jumped over the chair wanted to see the song from further back. Amazing show.
I was there the first night. Unreal. Mind boggling how talented he is. Legend.
Hopefully we see him again!
I was there too last night. Epic concert and the audio at the MSG is top notch !!!!
What can you say to that, a master class 🙌
No, a master bate by a guitarist who used to be very good, but is no longer!
Thank you for doing Gods work !
Look at that singing security guy. He even air drums at the end. Glad he enjoyed the show enormously. I enjoyed, too, at the RAH.
Wow!!!! Totally unbelievable concert last night at MSG 11/10/24.
I was there great night , the light show was excellent . The band and David were tight and loud ! Thank you for posting!
Just the most incredible band. They are all impeccable. I want more!!

The bulk of the audience came to listen to Roger Waters' songs
Co-written. And the reality is nobody goes to Roger's shows to hear him play bass. Even there it's all about the guitar solos.
