Sure old post but Teach them good habits and mechanics. If you see an edge wipe it, pin holes sometimes use your 5/6" wipe it up wards, screws, screw it in a little. Don't just leave it for next time and do it now..
If you twist your wrist closest to the nailspotter in either direction it will leave an edge on the opposite side. Keeping the wrist straight will leave a nice finish
