great hunt. My sides hurt laughing from the one guy trying not to crack up while saying how happy he was with the scaly faced cub sized bear... he shot a walking fish! just a tad bit of ground shrinkage from 680 yards.

To pack all that gear in, and then to each have to pack out a bear... you guys are some tough SoBs. Bears 1 & 3 looked like GIANTS.
Such a fun adventure, now I can add that face down dirt nap to the list of my other nap locations. The list gets better and better each year. 😂

Old deer hunter here. Wish I could've hunt bear with ya boy's but I'd die from sleeping on that cold, wet hard ground, I remember those days too well! You'd have to guarter me and carry me out on backpacks and that'd be cause for celebration for my old lady

How's it going guys, I keep rewatching this video because it's just an amazing film. I commented a few months ago, but I was wondering how you guys decide how to pick a specific unit. I have never hunted out west and it's pretty overwhelming trying to narrow down to a unit. (not trying to ask for a specific spot), but whats a good process to find a unit?

What are some essential tips and preparations for embarking on a 6-day backcountry bear adventure?
Fitness is #1, gotta be able to push your body to its limits. Mapping area before hand and using offline mapping tools. Food/gear preperation is key. Knowing your gear and investing in lightweight equipment.

I’ve hunted in grizzly country a couple times. It’s added stress for sure. Just have to take some extra precautions but not the end of the world.

That's a great question, Brian. Some of the best tips I can give it skin it quick, clean, and keep it in a cool dry place. When opportunity allows take it out of the bad and let it air out in the shade.

We ate it :) then stored in snow and shade.

We haven’t ever weighed one that I know of, but we’ve had hides 80 pounds +
