In episode 27 of The Really Rich Podcast with Nicholas Crown, I sit down with Dr. Clinton Lee, author, viral content creator, and wine specialist on the importance of etiquette. He has spent his career educating his audience on navigating social situations in business settings. Dr. Lee defines etiquette by the three pillars of respect, courtesy, and kindness. Etiquette, as Dr. Lee says, starts with respect for oneself.

When Dr. Lee touched on respect, it reminded me of this very powerful quote:
Sometimes people use "respect" to mean "treating someone like a person" and sometimes they use "respect" to mean "treating someone like an authority".
And sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say "if you won't respect me I won't respect you" and they mean "if you won't treat me like an authority I won't treat you like a person", and they think they're being fair but they aren't.
What drew me to this podcast was the few shorts I saw. In those shorts, you were simply sitting and listening to your guest. Sounds silly but it is SO rare nowadays. Thanks!
This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites.
Finding great guests is important of course, but a lot of podcasts are variations on interviews of the same people everyone interviews, so it comes down to which host asks the questions that bring out the most interesting and unique answers from a guest.
Nicholas, you and your team are doing great on both of these fronts.
I know that the patience and humility and attention with which you approach these conversations is the fruit of decades of unseen striving. Nice work.
30:00 i command nick crown for not correcting the use of the word plethora to the English way to say it ….. is my pet peeve when people stop lessen to the other person when they say a word in a different pronunciation to correct them . Bravo 👏 👏👏👏👏

Morning Nick! Another inspiring and self-improvement driven podcast! When can we/Will we see your new book in a physical copy? I'm curious if that's a plan.
Reminds me of the quote from The Kingsman movie "Manners maketh man".
Man I had a job i started when I was around 20 years old and my boss is always say "yes sir, no sir" and he would get so mad "STOP CALLING ME SIR!!" Honestly I'm southern and it's a habit I can't break ended up moving on from there and dodged a bullet. Company closed a year later
Happy to see the pod going well. I'm curious though, how did this episode end up virtual? Not judging, just curious.
Great presenter! Thank you for the introduction! I think it would be a great funny video to create an actual “coming of independent age” cutting the credit card ceremony (to end in an optimistic tone.)
