Pay attention at 41:00 to observe how Bustamante employs a communication technique known as Nested Stories (also referred to as the Cover Hypnosis Pattern) using pacing and leading along with hypnotic metaphors. Bustamante initiates the story by mentioning that his friend, Attorney, has a friend, and Attorney's friend's Mom was ... This statement has a particular effect on our brain-it creates confusion, leading us to drop our resistance due to the overwhelming amount of information to process. As a result, our brain relinquishes its resistance. He then employs Nominalization words to induce a trance-like state in the listener. Words like "patient," "kind," "tolerant," and "forgiving" are used strategically to redirect our focus to the internal significance of these words. This redirection prompts us to visualize and conceptualize these qualities since individuals often attach different meanings to such terms, facilitating a deeper understanding through mental imagery.

Do you think that the Cover Hypnosis Pattern overloading effect on the brain is simply just engaging the listener’s prefrontal cortex because they need to process so much more information, and by doing that, their amygdala disengages; causing them to be at ease and let down their guard?

There’s real value in building that terrain/ operating environment that is friendly and on your side… it’s like building alliances everywhere you go, and when you need to press for a favor or something more you’ve laid the groundwork for that to be possible. The CIA Guys version is highly strategic and zeroed in on a singular target but for most of us, Mr Crowns approach is very worthy of consideration…
Overall excellent podcast guys- I have studied this stuff for years so seeing it so plainly laid out from 2 perspectives was sooo entertaining. Best podcast I’ve listened yo in ages. Cheers

What was particularly fascinating was that this was the first time I'd heard you really challenged. It was friendly, but listening to the podcast, I think listening to you struggle with his challenge to what, basically, I felt were some of your core values. Fascinating. Usually, I hear much smoother rapport. This was the first time I've ever heard you really seem to struggle with some of the ideas.

Absolutely. You’re seeing me opening my mind, turning the idea around, and then politely disagreeing. There were certainly mega takeaways from this that I learned - however my model is ultimately different than the “tactical” model presented here.

His teaching method is Key in what I hear and how he sounds and he does not care how many times or how many different analogies he can give until
    The person picks up
    on it.
I’m hoping to see a lot of teachers coming in on this desire in all teachers as well as Employers.

ADHD has its place, and you can build a set up where things at easier with adhd. But its can be very debilitating at the same time.
Being able to connect seemingly unrelated thoughts comes at a cost: difficulty connecting direct thoughts. This effects speech, plannings, organization, memory, even spacial relationships!

I think it also should be mentioned that there are different types of ADHD, some people can be attention deficit then being more hyperactive or vice versa and that contributes to how the person reacts to ADHD, there also acquired ADHD and genetics, study's have found that in family with no trace of ADHD have a child born with ADHD was acquired thru habits like eating drink and what pain med the mother took during pregnancy... Were families that have had ADHD date back is in theory key words theory ,.. evolution. An adaptation found in families with sailors hunters and more adventurous families etc. They used their ADHD as advantage to survive and do their job, like noticing small details or like he said connecting the dots

That 4 to 7 minute place is one of the things I've had the most fun with in my life.
It's that small little rollercoaster ride down hill where you feel like "wee..."
There are so many things I'm deficient of in life, but that one? has always been easy because there's an unconscious goal (that once was conscious as a child bc things were too uncomfortable that I finally had to relent to nothing but reliance on whatever is real) that says; "just be completely you w/ some restraint, just communicate in the way that we all can relate to" that takes over like dopamine & then you're there.
Unfortunately a lot of not well meaning, or manipulative people take that as "oh this person is too transparent, too laid back & real" and they zone in for a kill.
Still haven't figured out how to deal w/ that other than to not be too open, too quickly, but man, when it happens it's always a shock even though I should know better by now.

Feeling much better about my ADHD and ability to hyperfocus. I will say the biggest drawback is that I'm constantly in a state of hypervigilance and while my reflexes are enhanced, in everyday life it is often more of a burden than it helps.
Does make for some crazy parlor tricks, though. Things that require being active or hand-eye coordination are far easier.

It seems like you don’t know about Chris Voss, former FBI hostage negotiator, and the Black Swan Methodtm,
where the basic essential technique is to go straight at the counterpart’s “secret life”, wasting no time whatsoever,
instead of expecting them eventually, later, to tell you about it, the negotiator guestimates, summarizes, and paraphrases,
and demonstrates for them that he already knows what they really think, and how they see the world.

Secret so embarrassing that I will take them to my grave. Agree that rapport is built in different ways, including confrontation. I really did not want to hear these secrets. I like the surfaces of people. I seldom tried to engage. People just decided to engage with me without much interest in learning about me. Not that I would reveal much, lol. Lol, one om little secrets is about something important and troiblesome that happened at the CIA, told to me by a high CIA exec who had to manage the problem. Why, I have no idea.

National Security and that it. Apparently feelings are important to others in national security but I asked my brain and it replied with death threats so i didn't further try to bother it. I commented this on Twitter:
"Yup, and Crown seems at least a useful idiot, but maybe is more, like I'm not an expert in money/economics. Haven't seen his other podcasts, just here seemed ridiculous at times. Less towards end.
(There was a slight battle between both whole time.)"
But thanks, we can do cooperation/business.

To teach people, to promote his business, to sell. He says it around 58 min. Good for him.

Okay Andrew, and love you, but with all the "success" you've mastered since 2014; time to lose hollow core doors!
But then it may not be your real home:))

That was bizarre. What is this podcast? Is this sponsored by muscle milk? Never heard someone say so much while saying nothing?
Algorithm fed me this because of AB.
