Yay, touchlink isn't needed anymore! I just connected 3 different IKEA plugs while being about 10 meters away from my bridge, with some 10 other Hue devices connected and powered on.
Step 1: reset the plug
Step 2: immediately search for new lights. Your plug appears within 30 seconds.
Plug firmware: 2.0.0240
Bridge firmware: 19411032080

I‘ve tried it like in the video explained (btw., content if different to subject of your video) but couldn‘t connect the Power Supply to my Hue. Touchlink doesn‘t work also. But I can connect it to the remote control from IKEA. Don‘t know the fw version of the Power Supply. Any ideas?
do you use hue philps app after Connect ? is it posible to do a automatic think whit sensor?
This works but plugs are labeled as lights and they turn on plugs when you use Alexa to turn on just the lights in a room. Any way to classify plugs as plugs instead of lights?

How can I make a timebased scadule to let it automatically turn on/off?
Like "Turn Christmas (on this SmartPlug) tree on at 17:00 and of at 01:00".
You will find a schedule icon (alarm clock) when you go into a group/room/zone. From there you can create all you like. This is for all recognised devices in the app. Please note that IKEA hardware like these smart controls which are paired to the bridge (but not seen) cannot be controlled.
Hi, because the IKEA home smart app is very limited in functionality (no scenes) can I use the Hue Essentials app to connect the TRADFRI hub to the app, and use the TRADFRI lights?
You can use Hue Essentials on Android to connect to your IKEA Gateway. iOS unsupported at this time. You can use all your connected devices in Hue Essentials. No more limited colours and full usage of scenes. Note that not all Philips Hue features are available on the Gateway as the latter does not support all.
How can i connect the outlet to a trådfri on/off switch as well? i have managed to use trådfri remote controll dimmer with trådfri bulbs, but not the on off switch with power socket
Can you try and follow the other video ua-cam.com/video/XYLDtL7YmZw/v-deo.html and replace light bulb with on/off switch in the steps?

One thing im missing in the app though. As a developer my self im hoping for more response on buttons and feedback on pairing.
Unfortunately the bridge does not give responses on all things we share wishes on. As you may understand the described methods to connect certain Trådfri devices are experimental and unsupported on the bridge. The API does not allow for recognising these devices and are not shown.

This doesn’t work for me anymore. My old ikea plug I can still connect but my new plug I just bought wouldn’t connect. I followed your steps serveral times. Is their a fix for this? Does other users have this problem as well?
