I actually got into wet shaving bcs of my fragrance collecting disorder originally ;)
Turns out the shaves were a lot better as well, so massive win win for me.
Love to see the niche fragrance houses making collabs with wet shaving artisans.
Both of those hobbies really go hand in hand for me.
I went the opposite direction, I got into fragrance from wet shaving. I was looking for things to match my aftershaves, to carry the longevity. It started with the colognes or strong aftershaves, like Pinaid, which lead me into a whole world of stuff.
Lately it's been the opposite, and I'm looking for shaving stuff to match what I'll be wearing the next day.
Loved seeing the Stirling EDTs. I love artisan wetshaving! If you shave and are into fragrances, most artisans in the community make a lot of their soaps and aftershaves based on parfums
Stirling is great! Have you tried Noble Otter? Their stuff is awesome too. I own a bunch of their soaps, aftershaves, and 3 of their EDP’s. Wore Two Kings today (it’s their rose and Oud scent). Great stuff! 👍
Stirling is fantastic! I haven’t had a chance to try their EDTs yet, but the shave and body soaps smell great. I’m actually not too far from their Brick and mortar shop, so kind of cool to have a well respected local artisan.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing and critiquing my collection Ash! Sorry for the messy shots. When we actually move into a house I’ll organize my fragrances accordingly. My kids basically take up all the space in our condo, hence my shoving my poor fragrances into their little cubbies all over the upstairs. Also, I agree with you regarding wet shaving. Starting that years ago is what super-enhanced my already thriving love for fragrances. Made me branch out and try things I never thought I would. Thanks for doing this! Be well! 👍

Haha Polo Red there @19:05 , the poor thing. Thought Ash was going to highlight the fact that those fragrances were right next to quite too bright a window, a no no for sure. Hopefully it's not the permanent placement for them, otherwise that light will bring down those fragrances much sooner than soon.
I would never leave my fragrances out in the light. I always keep mine in boxes and in cool dark environment.

My rarest fragrances are Midnight in Paris EDT and EDP, and my prized possession is a 3/4 full bottle of Creed Orange Spice. Though the Creed went sour years ago, it's a nice part of the collection
I bought a bottle of Midnight In Paris from some dingbat Florida Ebay guy and he never shipped it. I got my money back but it was a huge disappointment.

I was at my fathers house a while back and had a shower opened his fragrance draw and he had a Gucci envy he’d hardly used said he got in about 2002-2003 ish he he said take it love it also love Valentino v was luckily enough to find one cheap

You should see my collection. I got about 250 bottles cheapies, niche, Ensar oud oils, copy oils of niche fragrances, decants, samples. Mine is just spread everywhere. Very unorganized. In my car, bedroom, den, living room it's a mess!!

My brother, what video I liked that many of us love fragrances but the man who took the picture of his collection is mortal waooo how beautiful it is all organized clean as you said and 99% envious as you said it is not 100% write me down Why do I envy him too de but you did not notice the discontinued ones but I did since I paused the video to detail the ones I had or those that I could recognize but I gave candy to the bottle with many colors I used it at the time From the start it was a fresh aromatic fragrance but its price is through the roof but you are not left behind because your collection is deadly you also have a large number of tremendous perfumes in all categories amazing I hope to continue adding mine little by little and enjoy them all greetings brother 😎🌊🏄🌞🌴🌈😀✌.

The rarest fragrance in my collection is a 2008 bottle of Guerlain’s Cologne du 68! Amazing stuff!
Wet shaving actually was my gateway to fragrances.
Some incredible fragrances there.
One fragrance i use to own that I would love to get my hands on again is.. L'instant De Guerlain Eau Extreme 75ml Lidge! That was such a powerful unique smell. Came out in 2005 I believe, but was told it was discontinued!
And that's a BIG bottle of Polo Red too. BIG.

Just getting into fragrances and so my entire collection is just 5ml samples. Got 28 of them so far which is my budget long gone, but is also easily enough cologne to last me the rest of the year 😅
It's possible you're underspraying. Up until a year ago, I thought two sprays was enough for anything. But samples are great, I got a collection of 24 designer samples for $23 from a department store (can't remember which one) and I'd practically pay $23 just for the cobalt blue magnetic box it came in!
I spray usually 10 sprays lol so those would be gone within a month 😂😂😂
I had that davidoff one , and ruined it from storing in bathroom. That Gucci Envy I didn’t like so I used to clean my music CD’s with it 😂
There is some great scents going on in the wet shaving artisan community. Noble Otter Rawr is great in summer.

I have the Pleasure bottle now. I think I stored it wrong. Because it smell horrible now. I remember it was on my window sill. I got it as a present in high school. I’m out of college now. Never like the smell.

About how long do fragrances last? I'm reluctant to collect too many because I'm afraid they'll go bad before I can use them
They vary but the majority (I think) have a 3 year shelf life once you first use them. The box or the bottle will have “36M” or “24M” etc (in a little jar) on it letting you know it’s shelf life.
I was always afraid to buy to many bottles thinking they would just go bad and I’d waste my money. Am I wrong in that? How long can you have them for?

Ashton, I'm fairly new so sorry if you've answered this but what was the first fragrance you got that made you want to collect? Or your first ever fragrance in general?
He said his uncle gave him a Brut when he was a child then moved on to Drakker Noir later on.
