- Can I beat Elden Ring at level 1 on NG+7 using Deadly Poison weapons? These are the coil shield, serpent bow, serpent bone blade and the venomous fang. All major boss fights including all remembrances. NOT a boss guide but I do explain how I handled these fights.

12:25 someone might have mentioned it already, but I'm pretty sure the reason there's no stake of Marika here is actually lore-related. Radagon left Rennala to be with Marika, leaving Rennala in the broken state she's found in in-game. Naturally, this means Rennala hates Marika, so she destroyed all of the stakes of Marika in the academy. Not really relevant to the video, but a cool piece of lore that ties into world design that I like sharing.

@@apexkonchu2234 I was thinking that too, but I know there's at least one in Leyndell, right outside where you fight Godfrey's shade/Gideon. Not sure if there are any others though
@@camdewan6087 there is one outside the godfrey and morgott fight, as well as the entrance to radagon/elden beast boss fight im pretty sure

About the summon thing I have an idea about that. There are multiple different types of summons, some seem to be illusory copies that don't get status effects, some are mimics, and others are actual summons like Margit. In the introductory Cutscene for margit you can actually see the summon sign that summons him, which is pretty similar to the ones we use to summon friends, and friends can also get status effects applied. The other one that you see most bosses that are summons/clones have seem to be duplicates of that boss from a long time ago, considering Loretta is weaker, godfrey's axe isn't busted, and mohg isn't a lord of blood. And these duplicates are made entirely from magic and not bound to the original, hence why you can kill the original and the duplicate remains.
Also margit is noticeably weaker because his actual body is a very long way away from the summon sign, and that's why the second time he invades he is stronger. Which is different to us because we are usually very close to our signs
Anyways that's my weird theory about it all.
To add to it;
Morgott can conjure things from gold. His weapons, shadefrey, and even the erdtree avatar in leyndell. (Look up when it spawns)
34:15 The apostle in the divine tower was actually the very first godskin I encountered. Since I played completely blind on my first playthrough, I actually had no clue how to enter the hidden part of volcano manor before looking it up. That really made me like apostle a lot more, especially since that was one of the boss against which I was initially underleveled and that I regularly tried refighting again and again after doing some other things.
I came back later to kill that bastard because I was getting too pissed off lol.
I went thru the same thing, kept trying to come back to that apostle. Until I found like 5 others in the later game, he was one of my favorites
Same here. And when i had to fight the duo later it was a cake walk. That bigger version of the Apostle is agreesive asf
I also had this happen, yeah. I was surprised to find him again later, and i was REALLY underleveled when I beat him.

I didn’t even know the regal ancestor spirit had a rolling attack, I’ve fought him twice and both times he glitched under the map when he teleported and died
When I fought him he spammed it constantly & I didn’t know you could roll through it at first. Hours of infuriating deaths later… I really hate that fight

Considering the sub-par weapons and it being NG+7, I am genuinely surprised by the damage output. Great video, very helpful considering I am currently in my regular RL1 run, although I am personally trying to avoid all status effects (I am sure I'll give up on that rule for the Foreskin Duo.)
Only early game enemies have like 3x HP on NG+7 compared to their NG counter part, while late game enemies have 1.5x to 2x ish HP while defence remains constant.
Yeah I was surprised with the damage too, especially the claws, they seemed to shred.

My major complaint with Fortissax, and the rest of the ancient dragons for that matter, is that they have that irritating "hover in the air and breathe directly underneath" attack that the dragons in the Dark Souls series LOVED doing, and would always catch me, no matter how early in the wind up I started running away.
I’m just questioning how they went from midir to these pathetic excuses for a dragon boss, I can’t even hit their heads consistently
@@A2Z2 Well, Midir obviously uses a different animation skeleton from the ancient dragons in Elden Ring. Maybe that's your problem.
For some reason that attack in Elden Ring doesn't give me a whole lot of trouble, but when the King of Storms in DS3 does it I get fucked

You can use the Hand of Malenia at Rune Level 1 if you considering the following: Base Lv 1 Wretch (10 Dex) Okina Mask (+3 Dex) Millicent's Prosthesis (+5 Dex) Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom (+5 Dex) Radagon's Soreseal (+5 Dex, +5 Str) Godrick's Great Rune (+5 Dex, +5 Str) Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear (+10 Dex for 3 minutes) Oath of Vengeance/Ash of War from the Grafted Blade Greatsword -> requires at least 27 Str and Two-handing (+50% Str) Strenght-knot Crystal Tear (+10 Str for 3 minutes) -> (+ 5 Dex for 1 minute) = 48 Dex for Hand of Malenia

Except when I forget about the loud "GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE" edit you like to use when freeing Rosabeth in DS2. That's a bit jarring.
The Serpentbone katana is a favorite of mine. It's heavy attack hits twice, meaning it applies poison twice, counts towards talismans like winged insignia multiple times, and charging it does poise damage on par with collosal weapons.
The lethal poison does its damage faster, it's moveset is good, and it's AoW is quite competent. All in all a fun weapon
I agree with everything except the poise damage. It's good for such a fast weapon because you can often sneak in charged R2 attacks where you wouldn't be able to with a collosal weapon, but it's most definitely not on par with greatswords and hammers when it comes to the amount of poise damage it deals
(of course on NG+7 breaking stances takes a lot more, like 70% or something)
btw the whole "poise damage on par with collosal weapons" isn't because of it's unique R2, all katana R2s do the same amount of total poise damage. It's just that everything straight sword sized or larger does similar poise damage on their charged R2s (2h ss and katana charged R2s does 33 poise damage, 2h UGS charge R2 does 39.6)
@@PressContinue From the numbers I looked at it *should* do 60 stance damage due to the double hit. While a charged collosal does 40. Those numbers might be outdated now though.
In any case I'll bow to your experience, you'd know better than me. I don't have too much playtime with the collosal weapons.
@@markrobison5199 It could be because of the higher poise of NG+7 that poise breaking with it wasn't as effective or it could indeed have been changed (which wouldn't be surprising), but it looks to me like the double hit counts as a single hit as far as poise damage is concerned
@@PressContinue hmmm, I might load up the character and try the weapon again. I distinctly remember breaking stances on the second, but not first, hit. I wouldn't be surprised if during the pvp changes Serpentbone got changed mechanically

I think the big thing with Godrick is he is practically a tutorial boss. While Margit was a wall to beat your head against, Godrick is good for practice in baiting attacks and reading attacks
one can also take the Lore interpretation that he's a runt of a Demigod and probably isn't a good warrior

I think I might know why you were only sometimes able to dodge that attack morgott has in second phase, from my own experience that attack is very easy to dodge in light roll but very easy to get hit by in medium roll. Great video btw!
Margit isn't an illusion of Morgott. He's just another identity that Morgott adopted in order to travel the lands between without A) The king showing up in places the king shouldn't be and probably causing some drama or actions of grandeur being in the presence of a king would usually stir, and B) exposing the fact that the king had the omen curse. When you fight Margit you are actually fighting Morgott, he's just not going all out because he's just testing you. The only illusions are Goldfrey, Manor Loretta, and Sewer Mohg. Which explains why they are immune to status affects.
One problem with that. Margit dies yet Morgott remains. Then Margit appears again in altus. So he must be some sort of illusion then

Love the reference to your old channel name. Also that claw damage is fucking insane considering it's RL1 and NG+7. I can't imagine how powerful they would be with proper stats to benefit from the scaling.

My brother, it's not just that amazing dutch accent; I for one am always looking forward to your new choices for metalsongs. Again: not dissappointed. Then again, In Flames can be used for every pyromancy based run too.
The thing about margit is that his copy may be just a weaker form of magic than his brother but also his copies seem to be transmutations like with the larval tear as evidence by the one in lleyndel so it could be a physical copy and not a magical one.
Was about to check what the intro song was then realized it was literally one of my favourite songs just sped up

A tip for placidusax laser. If you are close to a wall he will ram at it and be close to you so you can run into him without a danger of getting hit and you get a massive attack window

Artorias has a delayed slam attack, 2 aoe attacks, a fuck you stunlock triple flip, several combo variants and the flips even have an extra hitbox on front so if you dodge into it youll take damage instead of the sides
