Hello new sub here, i've watched so many fasting videos and this first time I someone explain it like this! Now it make sense to me, now I get it😂 thank you❤
Hi! Thank you for these videos! I have just started the 16:8 IF plan. I am getting the science behind it (thanks to your helpful explanation), but I feel rather paralyzed about what to eat when I’m in the feeding stage of the day: I know meals must include protein, but should I be more reliant on fats and low in carb? Does it matter? I just find myself not sure of what I should eat for fear that it would undo all the good work done during the fasting time of the day. Thank you, Dr Foster, in advance for your advice.
I'm in 18/6h fasting. My question is if lemon or black tea (no sugar or milk) can break fast? The taste is strong but it's like black coffee, no sugar ect
I'm putting together a presentation on health strategies for 40+ and several of your points will be in there since you gave a simple (not too simple ;-) and concice explanation on the topic - thanks!
When I do eat I can't eat so much especially on Omar so I'm worried my body set point will lower, are you saying regardless the low calories eaten in the eating window this won't happen?
I know there are different videos that will say different things. I just watched a video that says that 16-8 intermittent fasting is not good. I've been doing it for a week to lose extra pounds. I workout 5 days a week and I've been eating really good. What's your thoughts?
From everything I have researched (and IF I did years ago) your body adjusts over time and then you don’t even think about food until your eating window. Some say to start with a smaller fast window and slowly build up to the 8/16. Another trick is to drink your water with lemon in the morning, black coffee and then water. Which will keep you feeling full. Good luck.
It took me a few weeks to adjust . I still had breakfast in mornings until I realized I couldn’t finish my breakfast . It was just too much . I then skipped breakfast and then just had lunch and dinner . Still had morning coffee and water
How does the research compare IF for men vs women? Since we have different sets of hormones I wonder whether the time of the day (evening vs morning fasting) and the month (for women who cycle) would impact results differently? thanks!
Thanks for asking this - in my opinion, you’re never too old to exercise!! And as far as being too sick - it totally depends what you’re talking about. Chronic condition or short term illness (that requires rest)…but honestly, in most situations, there’s almost always a way. It may not be the classic image of exercise like going to the gym, but there are so many other ways to move your body and benefit ❤️❤️

I did not give you a thumbs up because you failed to use the word CARBS rather then calorie which is a fuel used only for enigines....The body does not recognize calories BUT does recognize carbs! ;)

During your eating window is it important to give breaks between meals with no snacking?

I love this and tried it out for a while but I was almost weak with hunger in the morning waiting for my eating window to open.

What do we do if we are either too old or too sick to exercise??
