      @@eventhorizonsingularity Kevin is a more disagreeable kind of guy, and if your personality is more agreeable I think listening to him and understanding his perspective is valuable. In the context of psychology I learned a long time ago how useful it is to widen to your scope by understanding how a personality that's different from yours thinks and put that into your toolkit.

    • @eventhorizonsingularity
      @eventhorizonsingularity 8 місяців тому

      @@MrAvocadoMan yeah, i’ve found that it’s a good idea to listen to all perspectives too because people are so caught up in their own that when a guy they may prefer not to talk to as much (kev) talks, they’re too focused on how different their ideas are and miss the big picture. but in reality, it helps a lot to know different sides of something to deepen your understanding of it fr

    Now in my 50s here's my advice for people in their 20s and 30s... have a long term plan to buy a house. Come up with a 5-7 year plan and stick to it. Right now we are seeing housing prices drop. All this time you should be saving up 50k so you can put a down payment on a house in the 200s... yes, there are still lots of affordable places to live in the US, so be willing to move around. Buy a house, fix your housing cost, and you will be on the road to success. Renting = losing. A fixed housing cost, paid for vehicles, 10-15% of your money going toward your retirement, staying away from dumb debt, and you won't end up in your 50s and 60s bitter, with nothing... old and poor. Thanks Mr. Wonderful!

    Hello there Mr. Kevin O'Leary. Big fan for years. Just watched your conversation with Pete Hegseth. Your glowing testimonial recognizing Doug Bergum, and North Dakota, was very exciting for me to hear! Want to thank you for that assertion. Enjoy all the free-enterprise sentiments that you articulate, combined with the serious analysis. I'd like to see you help Trump and the Republican Party reach out to Americans both young and old. The purpose is to foster the entrepreneur spirit with bold and innovative tactics. Perhaps reach out to the younger demographic through social media. Perhaps offer contests, prizes, trade school scholarships along with step-by-step instructions on how participate. The possibilities are limitless. This is America!

    I would emphasize taking chances and getting that experience while your young, while also putting aside $ for your own retirement as early as you can. When you have kids or start to settle, that is great but it can be a nightmare for your career if your goals change. Start out making mistakes early and figure it out so by the time your ready to have a family, you have wheels in motion and you don’t disrupt raising kids properly.

It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong.
