Thanks Mike, luv the topic. Top 5 baits for sure could be number one ...it's just fun to fish and always works on some kind of retrieve. Best spinnerbait advice I ever got was from Matt Allen : TO PUT IT IN 4WHEEL DRIVE POINT YOUR ROD TIP DIRECTLY AT BAIT AND WIND ...it will come through any cover from vegitation to brush and branches no problem ... we all know that"s where the big ones hang out in the heavy cover.

This is such a great informational video series. I need a pen and paper to get it all into my brain 😂😂 I truly agree with and understand the concept of matching the hatch with sizes and color choice but I can attest to bass will hit almost any spinnerbait at any time. Small southern Wisconsin lakes have bass that will crush a 1/2oz Shad spinnerbait even when the lake has no Shad.

Can definitely tell you are more northern that a lot of anglers because you reference bluegill, panfish, rock bass, and crappie. All over the north and Midwest 👍👍👍

Don't be giving the painted blade secret away... my local lake has clarity as of the Monday to almost 5' and I love my coleslaw skirt and white painted blades. I catch all 3 species on it. Great series on my favorite bait.

Question: the lover short arm around lay downs, I tried it and it’s function it’s not the same as a regular spinner bait. What would you say or recommend in that case?!
