Spinnerbaits are my go to lure! Have been for 45 years. I bought a whit and chartreuse one willow blade proably a bout 1980, with some of my birthday money, which is 1st week in April. I was going to jordan lake 1st of may that year . My aunt uncle owned baitshop, and ramp right on the lake. I seen it at bait store, thought that looks like it would b killer in alabama in bout a month. I live in kentucky. When i got home, tied that spinnerbait on my zenco 303, and headed to river!! 3 rd cast i hooked a 5 pounder!!!! That hooked me on bass fishing, and on spinnerbaits!!!! This is good a spinnerbait series that there is!!! Thanks Ike!!!!
Great stuff! Can you please make a video about rod characteristics? I mean the meaning of slow-moderate-fast vs. light-ML-medium-MF-fast...? I think there is a huge confusion regarding them. TIA
I caught my first giant bass that got me completely addicted on a spinnerbait with a curly tail grub in March of this year. I will always have one tied on!
You’re not late. Probably just a little misinformed. All theses pros will tell you “what you need” to make a sale but yet none of them are consistently winning tournaments with their setups. Everyone’s setups are gonna differ even by margins. I’ve been using a 7 ft MH fast action rod with a 7:1 ratio reel. I guarantee everyone in the comment section are using different setups or all pretty close to one another. To each his own. My suggestion is just pick some in the middle of what you see most people are using and should be fine.

I find I take the bait away from fish with Flouro. Mono helps the fish get the bait, 15-17lb. Spinnerbait is the best!
