  • Hello, my bone building friends! Recently I had the opportunity to interview Dr. Keith McCormick on Facebook live. He is a chiropractic doctor who dedicates his career to helping people with osteoporosis. Dr. McCormick participated in the 1976 Summer Olympic Games as a pentathlete. As a professional athlete who also ate a healthy diet, so he thought that he was doing everything right to be healthy and strong. Then when he was forty-five years old he was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. Over the next five years he experienced 12 osteoporotic fractures. Dr. McCormick knows first hand the pain, frustration, and challenges that come with living with osteoporosis.
After his devastating personal experience with osteoporotic fractures he chose to devote his life to understanding and helping to prevent others from going through what he did. He earned a Biology degree from Stanford University and a doctorate from the National College of Chiropractic. He is an expert on all things related to the spine and he has been practicing chiropractic medicine since 1982. He is the author of two books “The Whole-Body Approach to Osteoporosis,” and “Great Bones- Taking Control of Your Osteoporosis.”
It is my great privilege to share this interview with you. The recording picks up right after I introduced him on Facebook. Please let me know if you would like to see more content like this!

Wow, great news about Evenity and other anabolics. I wasn't sure if afterwards I would need to be on an anti-resorptive for life, but just one year minimum, he said. He seems so knowledgable, I just bought his book.

Wonderful information! Thank you, Sarah, for interviewing Dr. McCormick. I would love to know what he advises for the elderly who do not have time on our side. I'm almost 86, feel good, very mobile and agile. Osteonecrosis took me off of Fosamax.

Julie, I am so sorry to hear that you got Osteonecrosis! Dr. McCormick sees private clients if you want to reach out to his office you could find out exactly what he has to say.

Would like to hear Dr. McCormick comment on the Japanese Ministry of Healths use of MK4 to treat Osteoporosis.

Such an informative talk, thank you. What is the updated info on the estrogen patch being safer than they said back in 2001 in a nutshell, thank you❤

It is using a low dose of the right estrogen for your body. Work with your doctor on this, but it is possible and potentially helpful❤

Superb ! Love to check out his first book, like to take this step by step 😍🙏🌷. Ps : so sad to hear people talking when I tell them I have been diagnosed. It seems to me people do not understand how serious this is / can be on the long term if you ignore your diagnosis. Sure there is more to life than behaving like a victim. We need to prioritise the quality of our life too. HUGE thanks for this conversation 🌟

Dr. McCormick's books are great! Do check them out. I agree with you that osteoporosis is a serious thing, and it is something we can do something about. It is important to be proactive about it and when we are it can make a huge difference ❤

I hear a lot of “could be” and “probably” in this presentation.

Yes, there are a lot of generalizations in this interview. To be really specific, Dr. McCormick would need to look at your lab work and x-rays ❤
