  • SIBO and candida have very similar symptoms (bloating, IBS), making it really difficult to tell them apart. So, how can you tell SIBO and candida apart? Is there a good test? Or are there any indicators that can tip you off to one or the other?

Based on my personal experience, it really depends on where your candida is located that affects how you react to sugar. My primary symptom is fatigue. When I eat simple sugars (banana, apple, milk, etc), I don't react strongly. However, when I eat complex carbs like oatmeal, chia, beans, I'm guaranteed to feel tired for a couple days. Pretty sure it's because I've got candida lodged in my large intestine. The simple sugars get absorbed in my small intestine, while the complex resistant carbs make their way to my large intestine and provide fuel for the candida bugs. On the other hand, if you have candida in your small intestine (SIFO), then you will react strongly to simple sugars.

You were nice enough to respond that you did not know how that happened. Well it was my atlas disc. It dóes feed SIBO. MAST’s shotgun sequencing publication even saw a 63-fold upregulation of glucose metabolism in an average SIBO biome. The thing is that your small intestine absorbs it very quickly, even before the E. coli and Klebsiella species can get to it, so the net effect is somewhat vague.

I believe that I have both sibo and candida, too. Can I ask you about how you are dealing with it? I feel lost because everyone is talking about the solution if you only have one of them! But I have them both and I don’t know what to do! For example, people who have candida must take probiotics, while people who have sibo must stay away from probiotics! Can you please share your experience and thoughts with me?

    • @hcure4003
      @hcure4003 16 днів тому

@@alaamansour2476 I completely understand your frustration and struggle because it was the same confusion with me! I have since learned that probiotics can actually help SIBO a lot! It's the pre-biotics that you might want to avoid in the beginning phases of treating it (basically- avoid having too much fiber and carbs until the SIBO is reduced enough). What works really well for me is to take the probiotics separate from my supplements/herbs for attacking the overgrowths. I always feel better when I take the probiotics. I like to take it at night an hour before bed. Are you aware of biofilms as well? I can explain more if you want me to later, in the meantime I will share the main things I've done to greatly reduce my SIBO and what I believe to help the most. 1) a good probiotic 2) with meals taking either Betaine HCL OR diluted vinegar mixed with water and rinse mouth with plain water after, HOWEVER you might not tolerate this at first, so be careful and maybe start by taking just a super tiny amount and I would also take oregano oil or oregano tablet right before. For me this helped prevent the bacteria in my stomach from hurting my stomach lining in response to the hcl or vinegar (people with overgrowths likely have it in their stomach too- i use to get stabbing pains in stomach witout the oregano. But i needed the vinegar or HCL because my body wasn't making enough acid which acid is needed to prevent sibo and digest food) 3) taking a biofilm disruptor (Like biocidin OR and enzyme based formula or both, i like to take both ) 4) Digestive enzymes with meals, preferably one with a wide range of enzymes 5) eating more protein and healthier sources of fats and omega 3 like quality fish oil, unheated virgin olive oil etc I like to take a shot of them every day lol unless its a part of my meal 6) take magnesium, adjust the amount as needed. I take a capsule 3 times a day it works best when I spread it out. Take vitamin C adjusting as needed but start low with the vitamin c don't do too much at first, it can painfully flush out your whole system in high doses lol i also think a good quality multi vitamin 7) ideally you'll target the infections 3 times a day with something. For me I got good results with a few things: oregano gradual-release tablets because the tablets travel through the entire small intestine without breaking down fully until they've traveled all the way through, I had to take it with meals so that the bacteria won't eat my food or cause pains while eating. another supplement called Candidase from Enzymedica is incredible. They even make an extra strength one. Candidase should be taken on empty stomach between meals for it to work best. 8) proper sleep and deep breathing, it sounds cliche but my infections always got worse when I didn't sleep well, didn't get enough fresh air, and didnt do deep breathing. Must get in the habit of taking multiple deep breaths throughout the day, at least 10 at a time, three times a day and before meals. It helps your entire body function SO much better. It helps before bed too it helps me sleep but sometimes I'll use an affordable low-dose melatonin from a store. Magnesium should help improve the sleep too. 9)gentle exercise, increased as tolerated.
I now believe in our body's ability to heal if put in the right circumstances, if money were extremely tight and one is able to prioritize sleep, deep breathing, relax/manage stress, walking or exercising, and greatly reducing carbs/fiber, eating plenty protein, eating natural food, and taking HCL or vinegar water or even bitter foods with meals. Eventually when you start doing well, gradually adding fiber that you tolerate. When I'm doing well, I tolerate many fibers now perfectly fine. It's when I don't sleep well, or get to bed too late, that's when I struggle most. Or when I eat too much carbs and not enough protein.
Some other things that have helped me are amino acids, because they help give you instantly absorbable protein that your body uses to fight the infections. Liposomal glutathione because Candida interferes with our ability to make glutathione. Glycine + taurine always helped too, they help fight infection and help the liver which needs lots of support. Chlorophyll is amazing too it can protect against so many things, that one I plan on taking for life. I also had to cut out gluten and dairy, they tend to cause an insane amount of inflammation for many people. My practitioner also has me take a dairy-free immunoglobulin supplement that also has n-acetyl-d-glucosamine in it. They help heal the gut lining.
I know this all seems like a lot. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I hope this message posts, UA-cam doesn't always let me post replies. And sorry this was so long! I wish you the best in healing, and feel free to ask me any more questions. 😊 I'm not a professional of course so we must always evaluate any possible risks before starting a new supplement, especially if you take medications or have another health condition

Interestingly, the reaction is always 2 weeks later . of course I steer clear but on holidays have slipped up. It all started after I took doxycycline for Lyme
Is my body somewhat ruined from that !? I'm ready to do some serious cleanses

The graph she made and her explanation of things is hard to follow because it's kind of all over but also too simple. She doesn't really go into detail. If that makes sense

So I have had 'IBS' for over 20 years now. my diagnosis was the doctor pressing the lump in my intestine, 2/3rd of the way from my belly button to my left hip.
The lump NEVER moves location. but sometimes goes quiet and soft.
I don't think it is IBS.
I honestly cannot remember that far back about antibiotics, but back then I was a normal omnivore, but to be honest, mostly living on kebabs and pot noodles.
Now I am plant based and fast, lump is still there.
I am only now coming round to a possible IBS/sibo/sifo/candida confusion.
pretty much as of today. I am attempting to make efforts.
I took bile (already had it for gallstones caused by massive omnivore weigh loss on extended 'fast' (economic fast rather than my current intentional) overloaded my gall with stored cholesterols and such. I even partook of a little bit of honey and ACV.
I will have a mix of probiotics in the next few days including the acid one.
any insights on my current journey?
not seen a doctor in about as long except for when I went to hospital for the stones. diagnosis.
edit: used to be a massive sugar junkie. but been sugar free for a few years now...except bread and fruit.

See a naturopathic doctor or get a homeopath.

@@Ane127 Many thanks. It is hard to explain this but I am a full on solar punk, Already got further using the combination of available science and AI.
Narrowed it down to an imbalance of Smithii, so far among a few things I will not mention on the internet at this time, I took another double dose of bile, just as a pre attempt to give a bit of a natural flush knowing my bile situation has been bad in the past. a perfectly reasonable surfacant that gut flora is used to. This seemed to have a bit of a direct immediate effect on motility with some rather old stuff leaving.
I waited a day for it to advance down the system and let nature do with it as it pleases then followed it with some plant based probiotic pill and 2 probiotic yogs,
so far in my guts have been their sleepiest ever, I can still fell my lump but its very in quiet mode and the rest of my guts just feels calm, I feel a bit more lucid and really quite hungry. my transit time before this was around 14 hours. I am still awaiting last nights meal...
Only real issue that I call an issue is I have had a lot of pressure in my head and quite a head ache, but since clarity of thought is improving I am riding it out with pain killers for now and presuming it is toxin cleaning or a last stand of anything unpleasant my slightly overlarge army of good bacteria and cascading events is causing.
But I personally have never come across the two words 'naturopathic doctor' strung together before this conversation, so I can now plug that into my worldview and see what comes out! Much appreciated!

Well, it just sucks if you did everything wrong and you took the Cipro for a month you took their proton pump inhibitors you got candida diagnosis and Cibo and seafood. Don’t even know where to start. Don’t eat any sugars or package foods and I’m very limited on foods now, totally fucked up my system. Thanks. Stupid doctors and western medicine but sad is none of them even believe that Steve is real or candida. My GPs have looked at me like I’m crazy. They tell me that my symptoms were not real functional doctor even that functional doctor does not know how to fix it. He’s never even heard of H2 S. I want to do your program and see if I can get anywhere doing that.
