I'm 65 and just started using the Callaway super soft max. With my slow swing speed I can usually hit it to around 200 yards give or take. My swing speed is usually under 90
I use the Titleist Velocity or TruFeel simply because I get great distance control on the green with my old Taylormade Modena 8 putter. Three piece Urethane balls only get played when the greens are exceptionally fast during different times of the year.
I not played cos of going blind and balance problems all due to long time Diabetes and more problems recently with left leg amputated. But when I was playing at Kilton Forest in Worksop I was Always torn between the Top Flight XL II or the Pro V depending on the situation I don't half miss playing golf so I thank you for your channel and playing courses everywhere thanks James 👍
Difficult to read past this one without saying. I trust you're well supported and even if it's only the knowledge that another "tick if you're not a robot" wishes that the wisdom that adversity brings arrives as quickly as possible to you, if it's not already there. And that this reply has brightened your day, even if it's just a tidge.
I have tried the Trust balls and still have 2 sleeves left. I found them to be a little shorter than my usual gamer. I now play another direct to consumer On Core and love them. They don't seem to scuff as easily as the Trust did and for my game definitely longer. I have also found them to hold greens much better. Great show!
Fun to watch! I play with TM TP5 not X. I am an 18 handicap and lose a ball here and there so o do not pay for new balls. Because TP5s are both a great feeling ball for me, and has not been out for a hundred years like the ProV1, I buy them off of eBay as AAA or AAAA. The reason I do not buy used ProV1s is that they could be 10 years old and lived in a lake for most of that time. I typically get TP5s for $1 a ball or maybe just a touch more. 9 out of 10 of them are great. For me, I am willing to use these until I can play rounds without losing a $4 ball.
It’s around 45 degrees where I’m at and I notice the Kirklands are a bit hard in this weather 🤷♂️ I like em in the summer but I’m using Srixon soft feel for the winter
I been using the Legato 3085 this year and have been very pleased with the performance great feel around the green … very good bad for the money… $25 to $29 a dozen on Amazon
Been using the panthers for a few months now and to be honest I find them really good, well happy with them and dirt cheap too!! Did you ever do any range testing with them with Chris at all?
I was playing the Taylor Made Tour Response but I have tried the Maxfli Tour family of balls this past summer and for my skills they work quite well. And I was able to buy a few dozen before the price increase here in the U.S. Part of the fun for me is trying different balls occasionally so I’m sure in the future I’ll be trying something else. I do enjoy your content along with your interaction with Chris and John.
i switched to Kirkland a few months ago from the Pro V1 and no complaints im just a 6.1 to 8 depending on the day lol.. so it didn't make a difference for my game good or bad but when i lose one i don't get bent lol
Live in Spain, play a course that if you haven’t got your a game can lose 3 balls or more easily in a heartbeat. Hence why I play the Wilson Duo Soft…. Approximately €20-€25 a dozen….
I am using Bridgestone E6 this year. They are long. Last year I used Tour Response but they are spendy. I ordered some Vice balls on Black Friday for like 25% off. I will use the, next year. Also I use the yellow-green balls because I can see them better. I have eyesight issues.
Helluva back to back drives on the green! Your previous review helped sway me to give the Maxfli Tour balls a try. I have been gaming the Tour X for 2 months now and and love the performance. I feel I have not given anything up switching from my fave Srixon Z-Star XV. Love the videos. Very informative and entertaining.
I am using the Wilson Triad and it seems to be a good fit. I Bought four dozen of the Costco Kirkland that I will use next or use them for practice since they were only about $28 for two dozen then I have three dozen of the Maxfli tour, so I have enough balls to last for a while.
Vice for price, feel and color. I’ve been using the Vice Pro Shade. It’s easier to find in the rough around. Our grass here at this time of yea is the color of straw and the red/orange pops out.
I love the Titleist AVX, but can't afford them. The ball I play is the Trufeel. A review by 2nd Swing in 2021 for lower swing speed shows Trufeel just behind the big 3 in distance. A 2022 review by Golfalot of the balls not with a V in it's name rated Trufeel best.
Do you guys carry a couple of balls in your pockets to keep warm? I live in Ohio so usually I'll try to keep a couple warm. I used to play in winter if I got a decent day and I cracked several balls in the cooler weather. Years back though. Early 2000's maybe. Good stuff. Thanks.
I have tried a lot of the DTC "Premium balls" and have found the Sugar golf balls are my favorite ProV1 alternative. Overall I'm just glad to see how many more urethane options are on the market in these days.
In 2019, I purchased 1dozen of each version of the balls the offered. Back then, they had 4 versions the bison. I didn't love them and didn't hate them. Tad clicky to me. I could game them exclusively but there are just better balls at the same price point.
I did search for these on Amazon and found them eventually, but they were "unavailable'. Strangely, the Panther does not appear on Trust Golf's own website.
I love kirkland but testing shows they are some of the spinniest balls on the market. So your slice will be more dramatic than like a callaway supersoft or other "low compression" offerings. I would try bridgstone e6 or callaway sueper soft!.
@@MrRyankush43 you give me far too much credit. I’m slicing because my swing is atrocious. I’ll stick to the cheap balls since I lose so many. Generally speaking, most amateurs are kidding themselves if they think the ball will make a big difference for them.
@@Ryan-rc3kq Its not a magical fix but if it reduces your slice by 10% I'd call that a win. I too just use what ever balls i find. But i think the right ball can help a little. Testing shows some low compression balls spinning like 20% less than the spinniest ball. Sidespin=slice. Less sidespin=less slice. Science.
Was playing Bridgestone BXS Tour in the summer which is great, just started with matt yellow Bridgestone e12 Contact which I got for £49.99 for 3 dozen...£16.67 a dozen. Can't believe how good they are
I used Wilson Staff FLI this year mainly due to its durability, price, and uniqueness (other people will know which ball is mine since they hardly play Wilson). They are almost 16 pounds on Amazon UK, even cheaper in Canada.
I love a Chrome Soft, just a good all round ball and very durable. That said I tend to use the Pro V1's in comps just because I have so many of them (all fished out of hedges and rough etc). Like the idea of the Triad ball as well although not the easiest to get hold of. Chrimbo present list has the Kirkland's on the list as a winter ball as enjoyed playing with them when found !
Always looking for my best bang for the buck ball...recently I've been using the Callaway "Practice" balls that are used Chromesoft X (or at least thats what I keep getting in the boxes I've bought) from Callaway. I think you reviewed them on your channel already. 30 dollars for basically brand new Chromesofts is a huge win.
Great to see supervisor John back on the channel. Looks like these are worth a look, usually ad333 for me Just had a look, not on Amazon now, nor Trust website😭
I'm sure you both are having fun out there, but in the absence of a formal comparison with other golf balls, there is not much to learn here. Probably a good ball, but........
I use Pro V1 because of the price, I work at a golf course and find so many that I don't have to buy them but if I do have to pay for balls I buy Kirkland Signature, great ball for a great price
I think it's important to know that a lot of these balls are manufactured in China. Then they relabel them for DTC companies. A lot of them are identical except for the name. Just sayin....
I'm 65 and just started using the Callaway super soft max. With my slow swing speed I can usually hit it to around 200 yards give or take. My swing speed is usually under 90
It's always entertaining to watch you and John play on the channel.

I have the Cut Grey in play after seeing the video you and Chris posted. All I can say is "Thanks!" Really a nice ball to strike and wears well.
I have tried the Trust balls and still have 2 sleeves left. I found them to be a little shorter than my usual gamer. I now play another direct to consumer On Core and love them. They don't seem to scuff as easily as the Trust did and for my game definitely longer. I have also found them to hold greens much better. Great show!
Much as I love the Chris interactions, John is certainly a good and fun stand in !

I use the Srixon Soft Feel. I just like the feel, and the performance is good enough for me.
Nice to see superintendent John enjoying the fruits of his labour 👍
I really like the OnCore direct to consumer ball. The vero x1 and even the Elixr are excellent for distance, control, abs spin.
I play Wilson duo optix, 3 for 2 at the moment, really like the feel of them.
It’s around 45 degrees where I’m at and I notice the Kirklands are a bit hard in this weather 🤷♂️
I like em in the summer but I’m using Srixon soft feel for the winter
Wow boys, the Eagle train was awesome! Lovely golf ⛳️.
I’ve been playing Bridgestone e12’s. Excellent for my game. Long and straight. Good control around the greens too!
I been using the Legato 3085 this year and have been very pleased with the performance great feel around the green … very good bad for the money… $25 to $29 a dozen on Amazon

Playing Callaway super soft. I tried the chrome soft for a couple of months, and just didn’t see a big enough difference to justify the cost.
i switched to Kirkland a few months ago from the Pro V1 and no complaints im just a 6.1 to 8 depending on the day lol.. so it didn't make a difference for my game good or bad but when i lose one i don't get bent lol

I find tons of Snell, Vice, Kirkland, Ultra, Noodle and other less brands. Shows me that a lot of golfers are looking for a deal. 😎

Snell mtb black and prov1 are in the bag
Been using the Inesis Tour 900 from Decathlon and they're brilliant. 3-piece with urathene cover and feel just like a Pro V1.
In 2019, I purchased 1dozen of each version of the balls the offered. Back then, they had 4 versions the bison. I didn't love them and didn't hate them. Tad clicky to me. I could game them exclusively but there are just better balls at the same price point.
Maxfli tour x.. used it all year, great ball for the money.
Glad you paid the respect to this NOT being a talking balls session...bc that should be Chris's honor alone 😊. Still gaming the Maxfli Tour CG here
Well done James, really enjoyed it
I did search for these on Amazon and found them eventually, but they were "unavailable'. Strangely, the Panther does not appear on Trust Golf's own website.
I use the Kirkland balls but when I can find them, I love the Srixon AD 333.
I’m using the mizuno RB tour x, it’s soft and spinny for someone who’s not got that fastest club head speed, like £35
Maxfli TourX really good ball and when you buy the 4 dozen pack it works out to $25 per dozen.
Kirkland signature FTW!!! So cheap I don’t even go looking for them after the inevitable slice into the woods.
Big Fan of the Kirkland Balls..
By; duff; hook; shank; over club; under club; over here.
I love kirkland but testing shows they are some of the spinniest balls on the market. So your slice will be more dramatic than like a callaway supersoft or other "low compression" offerings. I would try bridgstone e6 or callaway sueper soft!.

I only play Srixon Q-Star Tours! Best ball for me and a great price for how premium they are.
I used Wilson Staff FLI this year mainly due to its durability, price, and uniqueness (other people will know which ball is mine since they hardly play Wilson). They are almost 16 pounds on Amazon UK, even cheaper in Canada.
Vice pro plus, tourstripe. Best balls out there. Right price point and performance is high.
Hey James what is going on with Foxy and mid handicap Mark? Haven't seen either of them in quite some time. Thank you sir.
Tour Response , Velocity , True Feel.
But thinking about playing a piper blue or black.
Deff will try this ball.
You have to test this indoors and with Chris, especially if they make other balls as well
I love a Chrome Soft, just a good all round ball and very durable. That said I tend to use the Pro V1's in comps just because I have so many of them (all fished out of hedges and rough etc). Like the idea of the Triad ball as well although not the easiest to get hold of.

@JamesRobinsonsGolf_at_nicegram ok what is it?
You should check out the Trust BisonX. I believe that would be more suited for your game.
I use TaylorMade tour response as good as any ball on the market.
Panther not available in the US apparently.
Titleist AVX. The lower flight is what I need!
John is a delightful fellow.
Definitely worth a talking balks segment with Chris
Always looking for my best bang for the buck ball...recently I've been using the Callaway "Practice" balls that are used Chromesoft X (or at least thats what I keep getting in the boxes I've bought) from Callaway. Academy sports has these on sale for $20 if you have one near you. I think the sale is also online.
I like to see the distant and how it compares to Kirkland balls..
TM Distance+ £16 a dozen. As good as the Tour Response, half the price.
Well done James 👏
TaylorMade V3 balls 3 peace urethane golf balls can you try them out for me James they a 70 compression core .
Couldn’t find these anywhere and can’t be any better than Srixon AD333s for same price
Snell MTB black loads cheaper than the big boys
Hopefully I will come across one in the trees out on a golf course somewhere instead of buying some 😂😂
Great seeing John on the channel again
It sounds fantastic of the club.
TP5 in the summer. Kirkland in the winter
Vice is great, very fair price....
Taylormade Distance +
👌👌👌
Why would you buy new golf balls I ask when I have found and won enough Pro v1 and other premium balls to keep myself going for years.
I got to admit it sounded nicer of your of your driver than it did off mine, yehh i think its when you hit the middle. Ohh is thst what it is 😂😂😂😂😂
Cut Grey. Yellow specifically
Kirkland for the winter
Seed X1 is the business
Srixon ad333.. played them for yrs, great ball..
Ah! the old AD-tree-tree-tree. Joking aside, Srixon do know how to make a good golf ball.
Inesis 900. Great ball.
Wilson Triad or the Duo soft spin
Srixon bi-color & Taylor Made Soft Response
Callaway super soft and pinnacle rush because [ tend to lose them now and again .
Great to see supervisor John back on the channel. Looks like these are worth a look, usually ad333 for me
Just had a look, not on Amazon now, nor Trust website😭
I'm sure you both are having fun out there, but in the absence of a formal comparison with other golf balls, there is not much to learn here. Probably a good ball, but........
Kirkland signature cheap and great value ok golf ball
Trust Panther; 60% of the time it works every time.
Brilliant! I may have to order some simply because of this comment. My group throws movie quotes constantly.
It's all dependent on you as to what I play after today!
I play Titleist pro v 1, and pro v 1 x
Are John and GAZ brothers?
🐊🏌🦅🇺🇲
Srixon distance for me.
I use vice tour James
Here we go again lol.
Whatever works usually prov
Kirkland golf ball
Bridgestone Tour B RX
would rather use titleist true softs at £21
Love the SUPER!
Srixon Z star XV £12 off at sports direct
I use Pro V1 because of the price, I work at a golf course and find so many that I don't have to buy them but if I do have to pay for balls I buy Kirkland Signature, great ball for a great price
Me too! A fairway finder is my ball of choice!
Wokonda f'ever😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Interesting ball, long huh?
lots of good FUNNY SMACK
Callaway warbird. Cheap and a pretty good ball. Plus I lose some and find others lol
Is there any industry that jumps the shark more with the marketing BS than the golf ball industry?
I think it's important to know that a lot of these balls are manufactured in China. Then they relabel them for DTC companies. A lot of them are identical except for the name. Just sayin....
These were made in Taiwan.
