  • This is a basic Mat Pilates class with exercises from Module 1 of the BASI Pilates Mat Program. Filling an entire hour with just a few basic exercises can be challenging for a Pilates teacher, but BASI Faculty, Natascha Eyber, is here to show you how it can be done. In this video Natascha breaks each exercise down before teaching the final version so a beginner-level client can easily follow along without losing the flow of the class.

    Great class! The most challenging position and movement was sidelying flexion. Is there a more basic movement to work strength here? I’m thinking I want to work obliques and NOT the quadratus lumborum, is that the right way to think about this?
