This was beautiful! I’m always so curious how people get such a comprehensive understanding of geo nodes though with all the conceptual details being so spread out.
Great job on all tutorials that you are posting! I just wanted to point out, in case nobody here noticed it. I am not sure if you forgot or not, but your file has inside so many useful geometry nodes, that you most probably used in other projects, that are under Asset Library of current file. For those that are not happy with outcome of this particular tutorial, you need to know that Cheuqs gave you lot more than this project file, for free. Thanks again!
He insets a "join geometry" at the end, after "Surface on points". Then, he connect a surface on points and the "group input" in this node and connect this node to Output.
Thanks! yeah might make a more in depth tutorial on all that. If you want a quick rundown, on my plant growth tutorial at 11:30 I go over how I make cameras and lighting for a quick showcase scene like these
Not going to lie, this was a little painful to follow with the random value changes. Have a script so you're not second guessing values. It causes confusion and a lot of timestamp hopping. Otherwise a cool setup for older Blender versions.
these numbers only works with default size large curves. curves go nuts when I try to apply to a small shoe fabric knitting. and not enough explanation to figureout what numbers would work on my object size
exactly man finally some one answer me he is miss lead us when he said you can do it with other meshes as well waist 2 days from my deadline for nothing
I use Blender 4 and there is something i do wrong i guess cause the part of the head that is above plane is always visible. Could you please let me know of what i probably do wrong? Thank you!
Might be the join geometry? I think i missed that as a step but after the instance on points there a join geometry that you would plug in the threads (instance on points) and then the original base mesh (geo input)
The idea is very good, but unfortunately, the image quality is terrible, making it impossible to redo the tutorial because it's impossible to read the tables in the geometry nodes.
I opened the project file to see how the stitching material was made, though it just comes up as a checkered type pattern? How was the material made? Not trying to be a pain
yeah sorry, the material in the tutorial was off blender market I think called "Fabric" so didn't want to run in any issues with giving it away. but it was just a pbr texture
Seems like it might be the scale, try to apply scale if that doesn't work then scale up by 5x and apply scale, scale back down but don't apply scale again
I tried with my object, but when this plane passes the object, all threads appear from all positions, unlike in the video, where in the video, threads appear only when touched by the plane when it passes the object. do you have any solution? thankyou
Yeah that a little bit of an issue haha, I have a 3090 and a 12900k so alot of these renders are below a minute a frame for me. I did start out on a cheap gaming pc so I try to optimize the scenes around general pcs but hard to really tell sometimes
Awesome animation. But, I'm facing a problem when using a different mesh. Is there any workaround for that? (BTW: The mesh is generated using an SVG, extruded and applied all the modifiers) the threads are not coming... Do reply if you have any solution. Thank you..!

FRIEND, I MADE A T-SHIRT AND I ALREADY DONE THE ENTIRE KINNITING PROCESS BUT HOW DO I CONNECT AN IMAGE TEXTURE TO THE NODES SO THAT THE DESIGN CAN APPEAR ON THE T-SHIRT???
Same issue. Also while adding the geometry nodes to the t-shirt as an the object for some reason my tshirt is not appearing only the threads and the plane is visible
I tried several time, but the music always distracts me and I cannot focus. I know it's only a few of us that are affected by this sort of things, but it's really a pity.
You can select the object you made the node setup on, then shift+select the object you want it to go on. Then press ctrl+L and copy modifiers, you may need to change some of the settings depending on scale transforms and all that
first your talking very fast second you don't show the whole geo nodes what you did exactly am a beginner at blinder and wanted to know how to do that ...stuck at first (press play and nothing happens)
I wanted to follow this tutorial but it's too fast, some basic steps are missing and you we don't understand which nodes to insert: some yes and some no. Even in slow motion, the explanation is unclear.
You need to put in a join geometry after everything and plug in the "group input" (starting grey node) in with the instance on points, that will show both original mesh and instances
This is the kind of thing I have no use for, but I just had to watch.
These unconventional tutorials are what the Blender community needs.
Calm, clear, and deliberate.. With a smooth backing track to boot! Thanks!
That looks awesome!
ayyyyooooo ryankinart!
@@contentwh0re Hello 🙂
Sure does
This channel is a hidden gem.

Feel lucky to have seen this tutoria that iIncludes pretty much anything about geometry nodes.
Not seen tutorial but Like for 15 seconds from start. I watch itlater. At work

This guy is a genius
Thank you for you time and kindness ❤️
You're my new favorite Blender channel lol all your videos are amazing
yo yo keep at it your tutorials are creative and fresh!
Really cool stuff. Best kind of tutorial imo- the effect is neat, but it’s also sparking a lot of ideas on where else to take it next. Thanks!
i was waiting for tutorial like this in blender, thank you !
Thank you. I've been meaning to get into geo nodes.
Love the vibe music
Dude this background music is killing it 😂😂😂❤
You need a playlist. One click for all of your videos ..
amazing channel i really wanna do this, this material you used is amazing i have been searching for something similar in closeups i couldn't find
Brilliant!!! Keep them coming.
Dude!! you're amazing!!
Awesome stuff!
you are a good person
it's amazing, thank you so much for sharing!
sorry if Im asking this. at 5:58 the monkey head is not there, how did you make it to appear out of a sudden after you cut the clip
He insets a "join geometry" at the end, after "Surface on points". Then, he connect a surface on points and the "group input" in this node and connect this node to Output.
Cant understand bro too complicated is their a way to change the monkey head to a t shirt @@eduardoai5
jeez this is crazy
I had nothing to give to you...but a little subscription :-)
amazing brooooooooooo
btw two years of using Blender and I had no idea you can create a gradient using another object thanks
Thank you!
Amazing!
clever man
Love you man
Great work!! I'd like to know where I need to start if I want to have a conceptual knowledge of geo-nodes. Any tutorial or any reference material.
When I add geometry proximity the target socket is not appearing rather geometry socket is there
gosh! that's perfect!
hi bro . quick question : how can i change the monkey head into a hoodie ? please reply it's really important.
You lost me at “add a normal math” . Only love. Lmao
thaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks a lot!!!!
I subbed, could you explain how to make a composition, light too?( in one of the next videos)
Thanks! yeah might make a more in depth tutorial on all that. If you want a quick rundown, on my plant growth tutorial at 11:30 I go over how I make cameras and lighting for a quick showcase scene like these
If your blender is eating up all your memory, try importing in OBJ format

Don't get so caught up on tripping about exact values. That's what 3D art is. You're gonna have to get used to experimenting.
Fantastic❤
wow brooo.... just wow... no more coment
these numbers only works with default size large curves. curves go nuts when I try to apply to a small shoe fabric knitting. and not enough explanation to figureout what numbers would work on my object size

how do u come up with these crazy ideas man, can you share w us how u learned all of these?
MEga good 1 THX... Easy 1
when i put combine xyz to euler my object doesnt show up like your suzane does....what to do....kindly guide .????!!!
I think this can be used to create waves on the land , what do ou think?
I use Blender 4 and there is something i do wrong i guess cause the part of the head that is above plane is always visible. Could you please let me know of what i probably do wrong? Thank you!
I like your voice.
when it's in 5.58 when i plug the rotation euler the original object didn't show up. what steps am I missing?
you probably missed the join geometry node at the end :)
After adding rotate euler and combine xyz, how come the suzanne object visible, its not coming for me, anyone help me please?
Download his file and try to copy his geometry nodes as it is!
Add a join geometry just before group output and link it to the group input
My model still shows up as a bunch of particles during the steps at 5:54 - 5:58 and it doesn't show in render view. Was there a step I missed?
Might be the join geometry? I think i missed that as a step but after the instance on points there a join geometry that you would plug in the threads (instance on points) and then the original base mesh (geo input)
Everything worked until the colorramp into alpha didn't make half of my object disappear, can't figure out why, it's just black
The idea is very good, but unfortunately, the image quality is terrible, making it impossible to redo the tutorial because it's impossible to read the tables in the geometry nodes.

i have a problem, i did everything but when i start the render all the details ( 8:27 ) and some of the curves doesnt show in the render.

Same problem any solutions
Dont forget to clamp in the Map range
@cheuqs how to export this with animation to gltf or fbx ???
Hi bro this is amazing... But curious to know your pc configuration and how much time it took to render 😅 nice work bro keep it up 🎉
Yeah that a little bit of an issue haha, I have a 3090 and a 12900k so alot of these renders are below a minute a frame for me. I did start out on a cheap gaming pc so I try to optimize the scenes around general pcs but hard to really tell sometimes

greattt
Is it possible to do knitting in Blender !?
Yeah there's a few tutorials on UA-cam with actual stitching that physically makes sense, this is just an easier way to fake it on any object
my plane is not going invisible plzz need urgent help
at 6:04 how dis he bring back the original mesh
All the threads are visible in my mesh and i cant control them with my plane any solutions anyone ?
👏👏👏
How the model comes out after you skipped one moment
Same on me dude :( Still Hidden Mesh 🐿

Sorry about that, ill try to lower it a bit more next video, lmk if you need a bit more explaining at any part
no issue for me at all
how do i just add this to any other object? or do i have to restart the tutorial
You can select the object you made the node setup on, then shift+select the object you want it to go on. Then press ctrl+L and copy modifiers, you may need to change some of the settings depending on scale transforms and all that
Iron man Nano bot suit?
Now do it to skin
what happened at 5:57 ?
bro just connect the initial geometry using join geometry
check mine. just used particle system
The video is nice, but the explanation is fast, unfortunately
for some reason, it does not apply to all geometry -_-
first your talking very fast second you don't show the whole geo nodes what you did exactly am a beginner at blinder and wanted to know how to do that ...stuck at first (press play and nothing happens)

Sorry but that's not what knitting looks like, even without the needles
Sen you an Instagram DM for a job request
when I plugged distribute on points to instance on points, my object disappeared as yours, but how get it back appeared?
You need to put in a join geometry after everything and plug in the "group input" (starting grey node) in with the instance on points, that will show both original mesh and instances
