Blender Knitting tutorial

- Hi everyone, This is a quick upload of my resent research about the knitting process in blender. i was playing with the vertex weight modifier when it gave me the idea to try this. I'm currently working on a more simple way to deal with this kind of effect in AnimationNodes. I think it can be a lot more effective and accurate with animation nodes by creating a simple knitting animation of a single loop and then control it by a null object. Let me know if you guys have already done something like this in blender it could really help me, let me know in a comment. Hope it will help you.
I'm selling 3d model scan based and retopologized professionally for a really good Price/quality ratio :

Speechless.. Tutorial please!!! ;)
Oh my god, that's just gorgeous!
I already worked on a similar project, but the modeling process based on the wireframe modifier is really clever.
Congratulations.
Look at this!!! ua-cam.com/video/NG5C_a6rxrY/v-deo.html
We have to bug this man to hell and back, I WANT IT LIKE YESTERDAY!!! Post on forums, comments, live chats, help sites, online uni or whatever else, that shit gotta go viral
This is by far one of the best tutorials on the specific subject, that too in blender
Kind of a hidden gem
Thanks for contributing your time, really appreciate it
Hi do u mind sharing the blend file again? if not could u let me know why is ur icosphere on 0:59 looks like this? thanks!
So the video seemed kinda cool, but the title said "tutorial". So where is the tutorial? Can you upload that please? This wasn't a tutorial, but rather just a video of somebody somewhere doing ...... something? Yeah, I'd love to see the tutorial.
thanks great,,, but do you have an actural tutorial in English???
can you make an update on this on new blender version?
Amazing! No idea how you figured it out but
thanks a lot for sharing.
how did you deform it so perfectly on the shoes surface? it's even following the path of the edge flow around the shoelace holes
Je veux m'abonner à ton "pantreon"
Very cool
hEY Albin, Great tutorial, I saw your scene file and quickly realised how simple the logic of generating the knitting pattern for a plane is, but I can think of a procedural method for tackling a more complex geometry like a sneaker. I am assuming you had to manual set up the base geometry for the animation by individual selecting vertex groups on the sneaker and also deleting every other face edge loop in the desired direction on the mesh. I am taking depending on the order of operations this can be a pretty streamline workflow to tack any new base geometry that requires a knitting animation? Thanks for the explanation vid!!
3D software can knit now?
Clearly the devil's work ;)
Seriously though - very impressive
I have no idea how to do that but it's cool.
What are those 2 cubes? Does one have a subsurf and what does the other one have?
those are emptys , these can be used to control whatever you want
How did you make the vertex groups? I need to know please
do u know it now?
@@G1NJO yeah
@@hamoodi_ali3793 ok
how is this a tutorial this is a show case not a tutorial
please redo the title or upload a "how i made this detailed fabric mesh in blender" video because otherwise why show something without being able to show how you did it
Wow. That is fantastic.
Hello Albin, if it isn't too much trouble, is it possible to reload the project file for this old project? Thank you very much.
Oh and then I was thinking, regarding your recent Eevee vids, if it would be possible to use that environment for a real time 360d green screen effect. Something similar to what the follow production company has done ua-cam.com/video/5gZWna6RnCA/v-deo.html
really impressive, you are a blender magician, how did you implement that on shoe geometry? what trick did you use? is it a magicians secret?
No sound😢 will still try to follow. this is amazing
What a precious technique...thanks
That is an epic illusion. I have never seen so many modifiers on one object
Thanks Sir, love your channel
I started learning Houdini to do this kind of stuff, and now blender can do it too. awesome tutorial! Thanks
does anyone know how that works? cant follow the steps
Thanks for sharing man. I will try to learn this.
wonderful,thanks a lot.
Have you figured it out how to do it in animation nodes?
my grandma will be so thrilled
Just exploring the vertex weight proximity modifier and found your channel. Fantastic ! Subbed, of course.
How did u do the vertext groups?
WOW! shared.
Oooooooh Shit! This is exactly what I was looking for over a month ago. Had no clue how to do it... Thank you thank you thank you! Best thing, I wont need AN or SV!
where is the audio
no sound
I can't believe this tutorial so avant grade, even though I watch it in 2022. STILL SHOCKING the technique you using, TY!
Please do you know anyone that does this step by step?... I'm a beginner and I can't follow💔
This is really cool! I'll have to play around with it.
(Also, burn the witch!)
Great tutorial. What type of texture do you use for the displacement? I can't get the height that you do (using Distorted Noise).
you are genius!!
I have been searching for this for a long time and this is just perfect loved it
Hello, man! This is amazing complex effect! Did you success to develop the same effect with AnimationNodes?
This is what I am looking for tutorials, great, thank you very much!
This is very cool, just one small little detail I noticed: The right side of the threads are floating, they need to be lead through the left side again.
super man its look like x men mystique effect great tutorial.
I was thinking the same when I saw this
Very helpful tutorial. Thanks a lot
I was trying to follow this tutorial but I don't understand how you set those weight paint vertex group up. can you explain or can I have the file so I can see those vertex group how you set them up? Thanks a lot for this video.
Hi,
It's a priximity weight modifier, and the object is animated.
Since Geometry node is now out and fully running, i think i'll update the setup for a futur tutorial.
@@albin3010 WOW! Didn't actually expected a reply from you. You must be so busy. It's a bit hard for me to understand but I just love the effect and I want to learn it. If you updat this then please explain a little bit more so noobs like me can understand it well and is it possible to make different knitting pattern? If possible then make it with different knitting pattern. Thanks alot ❤️❤️❤️
AWESOME!! thanks!
awesome
Insane!
Holy crap!
top
This is really great, thanks for the tutorial!
thats a very powerful combination you did, very impressive work
Thanks Naseem.
i hope one day Blender starts integrating its modifiers, simulation and maybe even constraints under a node base view port like XSI ice node system.
Great.
WOW...
Ots cool man👊🔥
awesome
SO COOL!!!
nifty!
Magic! Thanks!!
I love the music! ;-)
MrGucky2010 The video doesn’t even contain music
Pas mal du tout.
Now how did you make it go along an object?
same technic but instead of a array to create multiple objects, use the hair object instancer.
For anyone looking this, here's how you use a particle instance: ua-cam.com/video/JPzYJp5Mfvs/v-deo.html
@@albin3010 bro i am beginer can you upload this with sound?? there is no sound please
Good but tutorial supposed to teach not guess.
Amazing!"
I'm blown away by the way you accomplished almost the whole thing with modifiers. Amazing work!
