My kids LOVE Zellie's cherry berry. We, the parents, love them. They are delicious 😋! Thank you Dr. Ellie for making Xylitol mints available for all of us!
Hi Dr. Ellie, so I have been using your system as well as your Zellies gums and mints for my family. I unfortunately let my 11 year olds dentist apply sealants back when she was 9. What do you recommend, should I have them remove them or do they eventually fall off? Please help!

Dr Ellie, here in the UK we use Ultradex instead of Closys, but it contains Sodium Monofluorophosphate (230 ppm Fluoride). Is this ok for the pre rinse and if so could be also be used instead of Act? Thanks
No, Ultradex cannot take the place of ACT because they each do completely different things. Dr. Ellie has approved Colgate Fluorigard as a substitution for ACT for people in the UK who cannot find the ACT.
What if it’s too late and my 3 year old already has cavities. To the point of a dark hole in one of her molars. What do you recommend I do for her at this point? will implement all the preventative measures but what for the extensive damage?
Just keep using xylitol religiously and following her cleaning protocol, and keep monitoring it. This will help get rid of the bad bacteria and encourage the good ones to take hold.
Dr. Ellie my daughter is 4 going on 5. She has very serious tooth decay in six of her teeth. They want to cap them. What do you suggest to do in this case?
On Dr. Ellie's list of products, her approved flavors of ACT are Mint, Cinnamon and Bubble Gum. Bubble Gum is an ACT kids' product - it is my very favorite and the one I choose to use all the time.
Dr. Ellie I go to the dentist Monday to get some cavities addressed. I have been using your system for a few months now. I already don't have 10 teeth in the back including all wisdom teeth. I know some old fillings are probably beyond repair. What is a way to let the dentist know upfront I do not want any root canals at all? I am okay with getting the few teeth pulled and wearing dentures since I already had a partial denture but it broke a few years ago. But I don't want a root canal and can't afford it right now anyway. Trying to figure out how to let this dentist know since from my experience, dentists act like it is a root canal or sit there with the bad tooth.
Btw, my baby is 6 months old and right now I use a baby toothpaste with xylitol on his gums since he doesn't have any teeth yet. The dentist at the clinic where he goes checked his gums and said when he gets teeth they're applying some type of flouride to them. But the dentist said the xylitol is good for the baby teeth.
@@Cindyscrossstitch Update I just left the dentist. Shockingly, I didn't have cavities like I thought. However, I only have two bottom molars and two top molars left. The dentist said I can get a crown if I don't want the root canal. So I got one crown and don't want the other. I didn't like the experience and complained to the manager about the passive aggressive dental assistant. The crown is temporary until the permanent one comes back. I also got measured for a new metal upper partial denture. The partial I had cracked a few years ago. The dentist said she didn't want to pull the last two molars because it'll eventually impact the whole bottom teeth. But I told her after getting the one crown I'm good and don't want another one. Just pull the tooth. So I'll go back in a few months. I mentioned Dr. Ellie and surprisingly the dentist knew about her. They said the information is good and to keep using the system and xylitol. I showed her what I order off Dr Ellie Amazon and she said that's good. She didn't write me a prescription and said what Dr Ellie recommends is very good and to continue. I don't have gum disease either. So Dr Ellie system is great!
Dear Dr Ellie, I was wondering if you could elaborate on the risk of caries from breastfeeding (once anaeorobic bacteria have established)? What you explain in the video seems to be in contradiction with your book, where you describe cow's milk as a cariostatic food, due to its high calcium content and lactic acid fermentation not causing a low enough pH to be of concern. I'm aware that breast milk has a comparably lower Ca and higher lactose content than cow's milk, but since the web provides anything ranging from "breastmilk is not cariogenic at all" to "rince your baby's mouth after every feeding" it would be great to hear your insight on this. Greets from Sweden, and a huge thank you for all the great videos!!
Doctors Ellie I have an autistic son ! We still use baby tooth paste on him !!! He cannot spit !!! Is there a toothpaste for them ? And he is 8 years old ! Thank you
I used for 6 months or more the complete mouth are system from Dr Ellie but had accumulated so much plaque and had to get a cleaning. Then I came across Dr Bruhenne who says that mouth washes are dangerous and that Dr Ellie’s system is not healthy except for the xylitol. I’m confused. I stopped using the system and just did warm water with salt as my mouthwash. Now I notice some blood on my toothbrush again. I’m so confused. Please help me!
Are you using the mouthwatchers toothbrush? My husband, son , and I use her whole system, toothbrush too. All I know is that my teeth in the front were sensitive even when I put toothpaste on them. Since I started Dr Ellie system, they no longer feel sensitive. I will give an update after I come back from the dentist Monday.

Dear ELlie,
Is laser treatment good for root canals? Thanks sooo much!
See an endodontist...a specialist who does nothing but root canals.....
Dr.Ellie I'm using zylitol crystals is that best for teeth or should i shift to gums
Mix it up to enjoy the routine that suits you best.

Could the kids version of ACT be an alternative for adults as well? In my country that is the only one available.
